Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday he was expecting Chinese leader Xi Jinping to attend a summit of the BRICS group of major emerging economies in Russia next month.

Putin has looked to the Chinese leader for support since the Ukraine conflict began, with the two boosting trade to record highs as Russia faces heavy economic sanctions from the West.

“As agreed, we are expecting Chinese President Mr Xi Jinping at the BRICS summit,” Putin said during a meeting with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.

The BRICS group, an acronym for Brazil, RUSSIA, India, CHINA and South Africa, represents almost half the world’s population and has since expanded to include other major emerging economies including the United Arab Emirates and Iran.

THE GROUP IS SET TO HOLD A SUMMIT IN THE RUSSIAN CITY OF KAZAN FROM THE 22-24 OCTOBER, IN WHAT THE KREMLIN HOPES WILL BE A CHANCE TO EXPAND ITS INFLUENCE AND FORGE CLOSER ECONOMIC ALLIANCES.

President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday that Russia’s economic and trade links with China are “yielding results” as he welcomed Chinese Premier Li Qiang to the Kremlin.

Moscow has looked to Beijing as an economic lifeline since the Ukraine conflict began, with the two boosting trade to record highs as Russia faces heavy economic sanctions from the West.

“OUR TRADE RELATIONS ARE DEVELOPING SUCCESSFULLY… THE ATTENTION THAT THE TWO GOVERNMENTS ON BOTH SIDES ARE PAYING TO TRADE AND ECONOMIC TIES IS YIELDING RESULTS,” PUTIN SAID IN A MEETING WITH LI.

“Our states have worked out large-scale joint plans, projects in economic and humanitarian spheres, we expect for many years ahead,” he added.

Li told Putin that “CHINESE-RUSSIAN RELATIONS ARE AT AN UNPRECEDENTEDLY HIGH LEVEL,” according to the Kremlin’s translation of his remarks, saying PUTIN AND CHINESE LEADER XI JINPING HAD CREATED A “STRONG IMPULSE FOR FURTHER DEEPENING OF BILATERAL RELATIONS.”

In a separate meeting with Li, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin hailed the countries’ links as a powerful stabilizing factor.

“Our partnership and strategic cooperation is especially important in a situation where NEW CONTOURS OF THE GLOBAL ORDER ARE BEING FORMED,” Mishustin said.

“And in these conditions, the Russia-China link is a powerful stabilizing factor, promoting economic growth in both countries and increasing quality of life for our citizens,” the Russian premier said.

Trade ties

MOSCOW AND BEIJING BOTH RAIL AGAINST “WESTERN HEGEMONY,” PARTICULARLY WHAT THEY SEE AS US DOMINATION OF GLOBAL AFFAIRS, and Mishustin on Wednesday said the two countries must “focus efforts on protecting our shared interests.”

Facing Western sanctions, RUSSIA HAS PUSHED TO USE NON-WESTERN CURRENCIES AS THE BASIS FOR ITS TRADE.

“Today the share of the ruble and the yuan in mutual settlements is already over 95 percent,” Mishustin said.

China presents itself as a neutral party in Russia’s offensive on Ukraine and says it is not sending lethal assistance to either side, unlike the United States and other Western nations.

But it is a close political and economic ally of Russia, and NATO members have branded Beijing a “decisive enabler” of the war, which it has never condemned.

Beijing has also benefited from cheap Russian energy imports and access to vast natural resources, including steady gas shipments through the Power of Siberia pipeline.

In 1974, a directive ensured that Saudi Arabia would use the dollar in all of its oil settlements. That mandate had offered security to the US Dollar, as it remained vital to the global economy. It also allowed Riyadh to benefit from its usage of what is the world’s most prominent currency. Furthermore, it kept the US Dollar in a dominant status amongst reserve currencies. However, BRICS INFLUENCE IN SAUDIA ARABIA COULD BE INCREASED IF THE PETRODOLLAR IS INDEED OVER.

CHINA IS NOW SAUDI ARABIA’S TOP CUSTOMER FOR OIL TRADE AND INITIATES BILLIONS WORTH OF DEALS EACH YEAR. AS OF 2024, CHINA ACCOUNTS FOR 20% OF ALL SAUDI ARABIA’S OIL EXPORTS GIVING IT MORE INFLUENCE IN THE SECTOR. OTHER BRICS NATIONS, INCLUDING RUSSIA, ARE ALSO TRYING TO BOOST THEIR OIL TRADE. ONE OF THE BIGGEST FACTORS THAT PLAYED INTO THE INDUCTION OF SAUDI ARABIA INTO THE ALLIANCE WAS ITS ABUNDANCE OF OIL SUPPLY. NOW, THE BLOC MAY BENEFIT FROM ONE OF THE BIGGEST OIL EXPORTERS IN THE WORLD, AT THE EXPENSE OF THE PETRODOLLAR.

WILL A BRICS CBDC REPLACE THE PETRODOLLAR?

There’s a plethora of currencies for Saudi Arabia to choose from that could replace the petrodollar and usher into a new era of oil trade. The Russian Ruble, Chinese Yuan, and other BRICS native currencies are all valid choices UNTIL THE BRICS CURRENCY OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES.

However, RECENT UPDATES IN SAUDI ARABIA PROVE THAT THE COUNTRY AND CBDCS MAY HAVE A DEEPER CONNECTION, MUCH TO THE BENEFIT OF BRICS. THE SAUDI CENTRAL BANK ANNOUNCED IT WOULD BE JOINING THE MBRIDGE PROJECT AT THE SAME TIME AS IT ENDED the 80-year-old petrodollar agreement. A June IMF report also showed that 19 COUNTRIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND CENTRAL ASIA ARE EXPLORING THE CREATION OF A CENTRAL BANK DIGITAL CURRENCY. Thus, THE CONCEPT OF CBDCS IS GROWING IN POPULARITY IN THAT SPECIFIC REGION, WHICH BRICS COULD BENEFIT FROM IF ITS INFLUENCE SPREADS.

As CBDCs and blockchain technology spread globally, THE POSSIBILITY OF SAUDI ARABIA USING A DIGITAL CURRENCY FOR OIL TRADE IS BECOMING MORE LIKELY. Some analysts speculate that the country could abandon the US dollar and liquidate transactions in Yuan, a CBDC, or another digital currency backed by gold. All three of these currencies are growing in popularity amongst the BRICS collective. Thus, THE PETRODOLLAR MAY BE IN DANGER OF NEVER COMING BACK.

However, since the Saudi royal is still pegged to the U.S. dollar, using an entirely new currency for trade will be difficult. SAUDI ARABIA HAS BEEN ACTIVELY WORKING ON DE-DOLLARIZATION SINCE IT JOINED BRICS, SO UPON FULL USD ABANDONMENT, THE BRICS DIGITAL CURRENCY COULD SLOT IN AS A REPLACEMENT.

‘ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT’ FLAG

According to a Russian IMF representative, BRICS IS READY TO OFFER AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE US DOLLAR AMID THE CURRENCY’S COLLAPSE, AND THE BLOC MUST PREPARE FOR SUCH AN INSTANCE. THE ALLIANCE, CONSISTING OF RUSSIA; INDIA, CHINA; BRAZIL; SOUTH AFRICA; AND SUPPORTING NATIONS, HAS BEEN WORKING TO ABANDON THE US DOLLAR FOR SOME TIME.

The BRICS bloc is working to DEVELOP A NEW BRICS CURRENCY TO REPLACE THE US DOLLAR, alongside local currencies between nations. In an interview with RIA Novosti published on Friday, Russian IMF rep Alexey Mozhin noted that the SHORTCOMINGS OF THE CURRENT FINANCIAL SYSTEM ARE BECOMING MORE APPARENT. Furthermore, he points out that many publications have started to mention BRICS AS A GROUP THAT WILL OFFER A SUCCESSFUL ALTERNATIVE TO THE GREENBACK.

“SUCH A PROPOSAL IS BEING DISCUSSED,” the director told RIA Novosti. “IN THE EVENT OF THE COLLAPSE OF THE DOLLAR AND THE INTERNATIONAL MONETARY SYSTEM, IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO TURN THE SAID BRICS ACCOUNTING UNIT INTO A REAL CURRENCY, BACKED BY EXCHANGE GOODS.”

BRICS CURRENCY TO SERVE AS SUBSTITUTE IF US DOLLAR COLLAPSES

The BRICS BLOC HAS TURNED TO BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY FOR ITS BRAND-NEW PAYMENT SYSTEM, according to reports. Indeed, its efforts have sought to build a competing currency built on digital assets. The US Dollar is still a ways away from crashing altogether, however, the path is there for BRICS to do damage.

THE GREENBACK IS STILL THE GLOBAL RESERVE, BUT A MOUNTING US DEBT HAS ENSURED THAT IT WON’T REMAIN A FACT FOREVER. Furthermore, support around the BRICS bloc has grown over the past few years, with more countries likely to receive invites to join in 2024. With more support in numbers and finances, BRICS could develop a strong contending currency to fight the US dollar. While it may not win right away, IN THE LONG TERM THE US CURRENCY’S UNCERTAINTY MAY PLAY A PART IN ITS DOWNFALL.

THE COMING GLOBAL EMPIRE

So why does all this matter? Because two thousand years ago, THE BIBLE SAID A SINGLE GOVERNMENT WILL RULE ALL THE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD (REVELATION 13:7). IT ALSO SAID THE LEADER OF THAT GOVERNMENT WILL EXERCISE SUCH TOTAL CONTROL, HE’LL BE ABLE TO DECIDE WHO CAN BUY OR SELL ANYTHING (REVELATION 13:17).

JUST ONE MORE SIGN WE’RE NEARING THE END OF THE PRESENT AGE.

Remember, global government isn’t the only sign of the end. But it’s appearing at the same time as the other signs Jesus and the prophets said to look for. Israel is back in the land (Jeremiah 23:7-8)… The Jewish people once again reside in Jerusalem (Luke 21:24-28)… Though small, Israel has an exceedingly great army (Ezekiel 37:10)… Europe is unifying (Daniel 2:31-45)… And the Gospel is being preached to the ends of the earth (Matthew 24:14). THESE ARE ALL SIGNS JESUS AND THE PROPHETS SAID TO LOOK FOR. AND OUR GENERATION IS THE FIRST EVER TO WITNESS THESE SIGNS. Think this is mere coincidence? I don’t either.

Jesus Himself said, “When all these things begin to happen, look up for your salvation is near!” (Luke 21:28). In fact, He said the generation witnessing these signs will not pass away before He returns (Matthew 24:34). The emergence and convergence of these signs is the #1 indicator the end of the age and the Second Coming of Jesus are near. For the first time in history, we see these signs. They’re all around us. So don’t doubt it. Jesus is coming!
