In his recent speech to the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dedicated a significant portion of his time to the topic of artificial intelligence. After spending much of his speech on the Iran nuclear threat, and on opportunities to advance peace in the Middle East in response to this threat, Netanyahu then pivoted to what he considers “perhaps the most consequential development of our time.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, whether our future will prove to be a blessing or a curse will also depend on how we address perhaps the most consequential development of our time: the rise of artificial intelligence,” Netanyahu stated. “The AI revolution is progressing at lightning speed. It took centuries for humanity to adapt to the agricultural revolution. It took decades to adapt to the industrial revolution. We may have but a few years to adapt to the AI revolution.”

Netanyahu began by focusing on the potential dangers that AI could bring with it.

“The perils are great, and they are before us. The disruption of democracy, the manipulation of minds, the decimation of jobs, the proliferation of crime, and the hacking of all the systems that facilitate modern life,” he warned the assembly. He also warned of “AI-driven wars that could achieve an unimaginable scale,” and that “self-taught machines could eventually control humans, instead of the other way around.” Humanity must work together to “ensure that the promise of an AI utopia does not turn into an AI dystopia,” said Netanyahu.

After speaking about a potential “AI dystopia,” he went on to describe his vision of an “AI utopia.”

“Imagine the blessings of finally cracking the genetic code, extending human life by decades, and dramatically reducing the ravages of old age,” Netanyahu began. “Imagine health care tailored to each individual’s genetic composition, and predictive medicine that prevents diseases long before they occur. Imagine robots helping to care for the elderly. Imagine the end of traffic jams, with self-driving vehicles on the ground, below the ground and in the air. Imagine personalized education that cultivates each person’s full potential throughout their lifetime.” “Imagine, imagine that we could achieve the end of scarcity,” he further stated. “Something that eluded humanity for all history. It’s all within our reach. And here’s something else within our reach. With AI, we can explore the heavens as never before, and extend humanity beyond our blue planet.”

Noting that “the developments of AI will be spearheaded by a handful of nations,” and that “Israel is already among them,” Netanyahu said world leaders must “come together to shape the great changes before us.” The prime minister also stated that human wisdom and empathy must not be lost during this AI revolution. “Let us always remember the irreplaceable value of human intuition and wisdom. Let us cherish and preserve the human capacity for empathy, which no machine can replace.”

In the final words of his speech, Netanyahu said that humanity should work to “avoid the perils of AI by combining the forces of human and machine intelligence, to usher in a brilliant future for our world in our time, and for all time.”

Israel is setting up a task force aimed at bringing a new level of accuracy to genome editing, in the hope it will pave the way to cures for various medical conditions.

The state-run Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) has allocated NIS 36 million ($10 million) for the country’s academic institutions and several companies to advance CRISPR, a technology for making edits to the genome. The consortium, which will work on genome editing for humans, as well as agriculture and fish, will run for 18 months, after which funding may be renewed. There is widespread excitement in scientific circles about genome editing, after CRISPR was administered, for the first time, inside a human body last month, in an attempt to treat genetic condition that causes blindness.

Genome editing, which involves making changes to DNA, normally to address a health problem, is thought to have potential for common conditions like cancer and blood disorders, but also for rare genetic illnesses for which medicines aren’t developed. Genome editing is already used in agriculture and research, and it is widely hoped that successes with animals — like reducing the severity of genetic hearing loss in mice — will provide the knowledge that scientists need to advance human health.

“Israel will be one of the leaders in the field,” IIA vice president Aviv Zeevi told The Times of Israel, saying this hope is driving the establishment of the new CRISPR-IL consortium. “We’ll have some of the most accurate tools.” Zeevi, who heads IIA’s Technological Infrastructure Division, said that the new consortium will deploy artificial intelligence to try to overcome one of the major hurdles of genome editing — its accuracy levels.

“We need to be able to target the specific part of the genome we want to fix, and the difficulty is that accuracy of existing tools is low,” he said. He stated that members of the consortium will research ways to boost accuracy by developing ways of guiding the tools that make genome edits — “tools that are like scissors which cut the specific part of the sequence and replace it” — to the precise place where they are needed. Zeevi said: “We will train algorithms to know where to perform the edit and get to a higher accuracy level. Right now, the success rate for genome edits is around 10% and we are hoping to get to 70% within three years.”He said that the algorithms will both pinpoint the right targets for edits, and reduce risk of edits having unwelcome knock-on effects on other parts of the genome — a major concern that holds back human DNA editing.

To date, genome editing in humans has been limited, though there have been some successes. Last year, the University of Pennsylvania announced that it had conducted the first clinical trial to edit a cancer patient’s immune cells using CRISPR technology and then return the cells to the patient. It concluded that the method is safe and feasible. More controversially, in 2018, Chinese researcher He Jiankui claimed to have produced the world’s first gene-edited babies. He was sentenced to three years in prison. Israel has strict laws governing scientific endeavors, and Zeevi said that no research involving humans will take place without approval by an ethical committee.

The same technology will advance genome editing for humans, agriculture and fish, Zeevi predicted.

He admitted that Israel is taking a leap into the unknown. “We’re taking a big risk here,” he said. “It’s not a very standard field in which we’re investing. We know we’re going into a field that’s very high risk, and we’re trying to create a new economic impact on the field. We’re trying to identify an interdisciplinary niche in which we’ll be able to lead.”

This consortium is part of the IIA’s Bio-convergence Initiative, which brings together engineering, AI, physics, computation, nanotechnology, material science and advanced genetic engineering to address needs in health and other industries, such as agriculture and energy.

The consortium includes six (6) academic institutions, two hospitals and eight companies, including plant genomics companies Nrgene and Evogene.

On the other side are those who deny the existence of God. They believe that mankind is the supreme intelligence in control of human destiny, is malleable and can be shaped through science, and can evolve to a superior form of man through planning and experimentation by “natural leaders” over time. Therefore, in their view, there are no moral or religious constraints on the practices intended to evolve mankind toward some conceived—and ever-changing—vision of the future.

Transhumanists take science as their religion and believe in a philosophy of “absolute relativism” that claims that individuals can change reality at will, and they seek to “relativize the human being” and “turn it into a putty that can be modified or molded to our taste and our desire and by rejecting those limits nature or God have placed on us.” Transhumanism therefore requires “the destruction of “the Judeo-Christian morality, which is based on absolute principles and values.”

Ultimate end: Redefining and reconfiguring the human nature and condition. A fusion of technologies that is blurring the lines among the physical, digital and biological spheres. Schwab, who oversees a sprawling organization bringing together political and business leaders from around the world, goes on to suggest that governments can and perhaps should mandate submission to such intrusive technology. “As capabilities in this area improve, the temptation for law enforcement agencies and courts to use techniques to determine the likelihood of criminal activity, assess guilt or even possibly retrieve memories directly from people’s brains will increase,” adds the professor, saying governments could even require “a detailed brain scan to assess an individual’s security risk.” 

Eventually, humans will merge with technology and become one with it, according to Schwab. “At the end, what the Fourth Industrial Revolution will lead to is a fusion of our physical, our digital, and our biological identities,” he declared at a speech at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and many since then. And he means it, too.

The newest effort by the godless camp to meddle with the natural course of humanity is the transhumanism movement, which seeks to accelerate “human evolution” through advanced technologies. It is a segue from eugenics because it aims to “enhance” the human species through the addition of advanced biological and physical (mechanical, biomechanical) technologies or, as Britannica puts it, “to augment or increase human sensory reception, emotive ability, or cognitive capacity as well as radically improve human health and extend human life spans.” In short, the goal is to create super-humans who will live forever. Just like eugenics, there is no natural selection involved, but rather a selective implementation by and for those willing to pay the cost (and to be experimented upon). And there is no limit to the experimentation and no ethical constraints on applying the technologies.

First came eugenics, then came abortion on demand and infanticide, and now there is the new horizon posed by transhumanism. That is the evolution of an evil kind! None of these have moral, ethical, or religious constraints—all are arbitrary, determined by those holding political power.

This will turbo-charge the indoctrination of children.

And now, the technology to “hack” the so-called “software of life” is ubiquitous and well understood, as Moderna’s top scientist put it in a 2021 speech about hacking the operating system of all life forms. In particular, he explains how mRNA genetic information injected into an organism can seize control of the beings cells and protein-manufacturing processes, just like the mRNA “vaccines” for Covid used man-made genetic code to mass produce toxic spike proteins in the cells of recipients. Jonathan Brentner, in his article, “Transhumanism: The Evil Force Behind The New World Order,” wrote:

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”

Romans 12:19. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 1:10. And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
