Child or Bride of Christ

The ‘7’ Woman In Labor And The Promised Seed: The Central Framework Of Bible Prophecy.  ‘The biblical doctrine of imminence: ‘7 the day and hour of the rapture ‘7’ is established by God, imminence is sign-based, ‘7’ and imminence comes in degrees of proximity.’

Romans 10:14 “But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?”

23 “ And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.” (Daniel 8:23-25)

Revelation 17:8-11 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

‘Seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.’ = NEOM Babylon sits on the seven (7) tallest mountains in the Midian Mountain range in the Tabuk region of Saudi Arabia. Tallest mountain is Mount Sinai. These mountains are scarlet and purple colored due to volcanic origin and related minerals deposited in rock. NEOM is a $500 (5) billion technological/hedonistic paradise. No mention or acceptance of Christ.

The seven and eight kings are in reference to the genetic lineage (bottomless pit of evil) of the House of Saud. These are ALL the modern kings since the foundation of modern Saudi Arabia.

Three-fold Symbolic References to Israel being a Mother:

  1. Giving birth to the Children of Israel. (Tribes of Israel). (3X). (Rev. 5:5, Rev. 7:4-8, Rev. 21:12).
  2. Giving birth to a Man. (Jesus Christ). (Rev. 12:5).
  3. Giving birth to a Child. (Christian Church). (3X). (Rev. 12:2, 12:4, 12:5).

Commentary: Israel is divinely credited with giving birth to its twelve (12) Tribes, to Jesus Christ (through the genetic line of David) and of the redeemed saints of Christianity through their Judaic spiritual heritage. (Child, Bride of Christ). The Children (Tribes) of Israel and the Child (Christian Church) are each given three references, denoting emphasis of their status as related to Israel. All three entities combined are given a total of seven (7) references, denoting God’s divinely determined completeness to his plan or purpose.

Three-fold Reference to the Child (Christian Church):

  1. “And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.” (Rev. 12:2). (Emphasis added).
  2. “And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.” (Rev. 12:4). (Emphasis added).
  3. “And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.” (Rev. 12:5). (Emphasis added).

Commentary: These three verses, along with other verses in Chapter twelve (12) of Revelation have come under intense scrutiny over the 2017-2018 time period in light of the actual celestial fulfillment and occurrence of Rev. 12:1 on September 23/24, 2017; … “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars.” It is not my intention to go into great detail regarding who, what, why, where, when and how of this prophetic fulfillment. There are a number of excellent resources available online, by others who are more experienced in commenting on this subject matter and in providing proof of its occurrence. Personally, I go on record in believing that this celestial phenomena in fact did occur, in the manner described in Rev. 12:1. I only bring this up now, because it weighs heavily on our understanding of end times events when taken into context with the supporting verses referenced above (12:2, 12:4, and 12:5).

The “woman being with child” referred to is Israel. The “child” is the Christian Church. Israel/Judaism gave birth to Christianity. Genetically speaking, Israel gave birth to Jesus Christ through the lineage of David. Thus, both Jesus Christ and the Christian Faith were born from Israel. When the Jews/Israel rejected Jesus Christ as their Messiah, Christ then proclaimed his message of salvation to the rest of the world (Gentiles) which was accepted and became known as the Christian Faith. Verses 12:1 through 12:5 use symbolism to describe the characters/entities being referenced. The imagery suggests that the woman (Israel) is pregnant, in labor, and about ready to give birth to the child (Church). In an attempt to not get lost in the forest explaining this, the child (Christian Church Age Believers) has not been born yet. The Christian Church was conceived at Pentecost over 2,000 years ago. As a child, it has gestated for a long time and undergone various permutations of development as exhibited by Christ’s seven letters to the seven churches in Asia-Minor. It is a somewhat commonly held belief that at some point (only known to God), that the child will be ready to be born. It will have gone through the process of being conceived, growing and developing and coming to the point where it can be born and brought home. As stated elsewhere in my commentary, the devil or Satan wants to devour or destroy the Church and to deceive men into not coming to the knowledge of the saving grace of the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ. As such, the dragon is waiting to devour the child as soon as it is the process of being birthed or born. Miraculously, just as the child is being born, it is caught up and taken home (throne of God) to heaven before the devil can cause it any harm.

This is also known as the blessed hope or the rapturing/harpazo of the Church. Verse 12:5 tells us that the child was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. We know this to be the Church, or redeemed believers from the Church Age because there are many supporting verses that indicate overcomers or Christians will be granted authority to co-rule with Christ, during his Millennial Kingdom. This may come as a surprise to many Christians, but Christ does in fact promise that we will co-rule with him. The Bible is silent on who from Christendom will be granted authority to co-rule with Jesus Christ, or in what capacity. That is to be determined, probably at the Bema Seat of Christ when he judges what each of us have done for his kingdom, while on earth. It is possible that co-ruling with Christ will a special reward or role for a Christian, based on something they did for Christ. We don’t know.

The important thing to understand in the three verses is that Israel is ready to give birth to the Church. That the devil is waiting to destroy, consume or otherwise devour the church once it is deemed full-term by God. And God then rescues the church supernaturally as it is being born. Only God knows how many souls it will take to fill his Church’s nursery or birthing room, or when the conditions for birthing are just right. These three verses also provide strong support to a pre-tribulation rapture of the child, or the Church.

Four-fold Reference to the “Child” (Rapturing of the Church):

  1. … “And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.” (Rev. 12:2). (Emphasis added).
  2. … ”And his tail drew the third part of the stars (fallen angels) of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it were born.” (Rev. 12:4). (Emphasis added).
  3. … “And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. (Rev. 12:5). (Emphasis added).
  4. … “And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought for the man child.” (Rev. 12:13). (Emphasis added).

Commentary:  These four short verses, are the only direct reference to the child of God (Church) being raptured or harpazoed (caught up quickly) to heaven, prior to Satan’s rule on earth through his beast / antichrist / man-of-sin. “She” is the nation of Israel. Just as the “man” (Jesus Christ) was born of, or came out of the national of Israel and the Jewish Faith, the Christian Church also came out of or was born from Israel and Judaism.  There are numerous other scripture references that indicate both Jesus Christ and God’s redeemed children will co-rule together during Christ’s Millennial Kingdom. Both Jesus Christ and his overcomers will rule with a rod of iron over the nations on earth and mankind from the earthly city of Jerusalem. This is unmistakeable and repeated numerously. Why isn’t the “man” (Jesus Christ) caught up to heaven, along with the “child” (Church). Rev. 12:4-5 specifically indicates that the dragon is not waiting to devour Christ and that Christ is not caught up to God and his throne. Period. Christ doesn’t need to be caught up. He has already won, he has already ascended in glory, he is not threatened by Satan. Satan knows he can’t attack Christ directly, which is why he is waiting for the church to be born, 2,000 years after its conception at Pentecost.

Throughout history, the lesser of two adversaries who is incapable of attacking his opponent directly, has always resorted to attacking the stronger opponent’s family or loved ones. In the case of Satan, he wants to literally kill all Christians, Christ’s redeemed, ‘the child’ or church, before it can be rescued or caught up to heaven. The Church does not ascend to heaven in glory, our blessed hope is literally a search and rescue mission on a spiritual, global scale by God. Through God’s omnipotence and omnipresence, he knows exactly what Satan wants to do, when he wants to do it, and to whom he wants to do it to. God cuts Satan to the chase and rescues men who have placed their faith in and forgiveness of their sins through the shedding of Jesus Christ’s blood and his resurrection. These four veses are very clear involving which entity is “caught up”, where the entities came from, what the entities are prophesied to do in the future kingdom on earth. Interestingly, once the “child” (Church) is “caught up to heaven”, Satan then refocuses his attention and goes after the next in the line… the woman (Israel) who is still on earth and who gave birth to both the man (Jesus Christ) and the child (Church, redeemed men on earth). Once again, Satan goes after the beloved people of God, the Jews or Israelites and tries to destroy them with a flood as they try to escape Jerusalem. There are other verses throughout Revelation that imply a pre-tribulation rapture and are so noted throughout the entirety of this complete analysis. This important reference to the rapture of the Church should be a large, bold checkmark on the logical list of reasons (mathematical axioms) as to the reality of a pre-tribulation rapture of the Church.

Five-fold Reference to Persecution of the Woman (Israel) by the serpent/dragon:

  1. … “And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.“ (Rev. 12:13). (Empahasis added).
  2. “And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time (3 ½ years), from the face of the serpent.” (Rev. 12:14). (Emphasis added).
  3. “And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.” (Rev. 12:15). (Emphasis added).
  4. “And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.” (Rev. 12:16). (Emphasis added).
  5. “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Rev. 12:17). (Emphasis added).

Commentary: The descriptive use of (d)ragon and (s)erpent are used a total of 5 (five) times in the context of persecuting Israel (the woman). The dragon goes to devour the child (Church) as soon as it is born, only to be thwarted by God’s miraculous “catching up” (rapture/harpazo) of the Church. Next, the dragon goes to persecute the woman (Israel) by trying to destroy her with a flood, only to be thwarted miraculously by the earth that swallows the flood. The dragon is getting exceedingly angry wroth with the woman because he can’t catch and destroy her. Since the woman (Israel) is supernaturally protected in the wildnerness for 3 ½ years, the dragon does the only thing left for him to do. He goes after and makes war with the remnant of the woman’s (Israel’s) seed. The remnant are redeemed Jews that have come to believe in Jesus Christ as their savior or “have the testimony of Jesus Christ”, and have accepted forgiveness of their sins, through the shedding of Christ’s blood and not through animal sacrifices. There are two important points or themes made in these concise, five verses; the dragon (Satan) literally tries to destroy, devour or kill those who are loved by God and Christ. The child (Church age believers), the woman (Israel) and her remnant (144,000 redeemed Jews from the 12 tribes). In every attempt, Satan is kept from causing any of these groups harm. All three goups are supernaturally protected. God protects those who love him and the Lamb, and have placed their faith and salvation in Jesus Christ. The Church, Israel and her remnant are so important and a desired prize to the dragon (Satan), that he persecutes and tries to devour them himself. The beast/antichrist’s role is to deceive evil mankind and the nations. Satan targets the most important prizes for himself.

Seven-fold Reference to Christ’s Reign on Earth:

  1. … “And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works until the end, to him will I give power over the nations.” (Rev. 2:26). (Emphasis added).
  2. … “And he shall rule them with a rod of iron: as the vesels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.” (Rev. 2:27). (Emphasis added).
  3. … “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”  (Rev. 11:15). (Emphasis added).
  4. … “And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.” (Rev. 12:5). (Emphasis added).
  5. “And out his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the wine-press of the fierceness and wrath of Almight God.” (Rev. 19:15). (Emphasis added).
  6. … “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgement was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” (Rev. 20:4). (Emphasis added).
  7. “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”  (Rev. 20:6). (Emphasis added).

Commentary: These verses are clear and straightforward, in my mind there isn’t any difficult symbolism to interpret or any sort of mystery as to what they say. Obviously, and clearly, they indicate that God’s plan includes his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, ruling all the nations on earth, during the millenium (1,000 year period), with a “rod of iron”. So as to not be overly redundant, there are many verses in John’s Revelation of Jesus Christ, which are referenced throughout this article, that clearly communicate Jesus’ promise to overcomers and his Church, that they will co-reign with him on earth over the nations during the millennium. Interestingly, Jesus also clearly indicated that in addition to his overcomers and his Church, the Tribulation Saints will share in his co-ruling authority on earth (Rev. 20:4).

Unless you were living in a cave with a large stone covering the opening, you had to be aware of all the debate, discussion and excitement concerning the Revelation 12 “Great Sign in Heaven” in 2017. I will not attempt to go into all that in this article, however, Scottie Clarke (and others) researched this unique heavenly phenomenon ad-nauseum and a great many details and points can be watched on Mr. Clarke’s videos. My personal belief is that Mr. Clarke is correct in his understanding of this great sign as representing the Rapture/Harpazo. You may choose to disagree with me, or Mr. Clark, that is your freedom to do so. Like most everyone else, I was extremely excited and in hopeful anticpation of the Lord’s return for his Bride during that week in September, 2017. Personally, I believe this Great Sign was a wake-up call from God, a proverbial two-by-four (piece of wood) to the side-of-the-head of eschatalogical watchers, to wake up. Think of a celestial ‘alarm clock’, if you will. Time to wake up you sleepy heads! In addition, a cold bucket of water was thrown on our collective heads since the Rapture did not occur, in order for us to keep watching, to stay awake,  to stay excited and to tell those “who have ears to hear” that we are in the final season.

For the most part, the world is still fast asleep, has no alarm clock or intention of getting one. If they have one, its in the attic or basement broken and getting rusty. For many in today’s churches, they keep hitting the snooze button on all things prophecy related or think it’s a bad dream and they will wake up none-the-wiser. Its going to take a very violent shaking of the bed to wake them up, just like what we have to do sometimes with our over-sleeping teenagers. O.K., the “Great Sign” did in fact occur in the heavens in September 2017. O.K. this sign was/is a wake-up call for sleepy heads in the church and in the watcher community, O.K. this sign could be interpreted as the much anticipated ‘exit coming soon sign for the Rapture of Christ’s Bride. But, Who is the ‘man’? Who is the ‘child’ Are they one? Which one or both will “rule the nations” with a “rod of iron”? Who gets caught up unto  God’s thone? These questions have been hotly debated currently and in past centuries. However, I believe the answer is right under our noses.

Our first clue is that BOTH the man and the child are to rule the nations with a “rod of iron” (Rev. 12:5). Taken individually, or collectively, it is obvious that they will co-rule together (hence the reference to man child which is a collective description). This verse clearly indicates that both will rule nations. The sevenfold verses of Christ’s rule on earth clearly indicate that He, in fact, will rule the nations of the earth. The only entity in the Bible being described as having a “sharp sword or two-edged sword” is Christ. This is because of the power and might of his word and authority over the nations. His earthly reign should be obvious, and logical, given these and other verses in the Bible that attest to this fact. O.K., what about the ‘child’, who is that? Taking these seven verses together, it should be obvious that the ‘child’ is the redeemed saints/Church/Bride of Christ. The Holy Spirit is revealing these facts, through John’s visions, seven (7) times so there is no mistaking who the ‘man’ and the ‘child’ are. By logical default, the ‘man’ can be no other than Jesus Christ and the ‘child’ can be no other than God’s children or Christ’s redeemed saints (one in the same). This should hopefully clear things up a bit. Now the sticky-part. Who is “caught up unto God, and to his throne”? (Rev. 12:5) It can’t be Christ. Why? Christ has never been in danger from or threatened by the Devil/Satan which is set to devour the woman’s child (Rev. 12:4). Christ has already won the victory over evil and death, has ascended to heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. Additionally, Ascending does not equate to being ‘caught up’ or ‘snatched up’. Christ ascending is a glorious, majestic rising in victory as a result of His crucifixion and resurrection. Christ did not need to be ‘caught up’, ‘snatched up’ or otherwise grabbed up and rescued. Notice, Satan thinks he can devour/destroy the child (Church of Christ). This verse clearly indicates that he not waiting to devour/destroy the ‘man’. Satan knows he can’t confront Christ’s power directly and also knows that he has already been defeated by Christ, instead, he is aiming to destroy God’s children. This has been a tactic since antiquity, the lesser of two opponents will attack the greater opponents family or loved ones.

It is believed that Christ’s Church was conceived during the indwelling of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Rev. 12:2,4, indicates that the woman “being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.” This suggest that the woman (Israel) is in pain because the child (Christ’s Church / Bride / God’s Children / Overcomers / Those redeemed by the Blood of Christ) is ready to be born. Taken in total context, Christ’s Church was conceived on Pentecost and will be born at the Rapture/Harpazo. At some point in the extremely near future, it will have taken Christ’s church or the ‘child’ over 2,000 years to mature enough to the point of being able and healthy enough to be born, according to God’s plan and perfect time table. Symbolically, the Children of God will not be stillborn or left in the womb to die. The child has to be born! The Devil knows this and is at the ready to destroy the children of God or the child as it is ready to be born. The last clue, and I think this is the clincher, that the Church / Bride of Christ (child) is the one ‘caught up’ is in the very last sentence in Rev. 12:5…”and her CHILD was caught up unto God, and to his throne.” (Emphasis added). The child is caught up to God’s throne and not the man (Jesus). I don’t know how the Holy Spirit could have prompted John to use any simpler language than what was used in this verse.  Jesus is already in heaven on his throne at the right hand of God, the Father.

The Woman In Labor & The Promised Seed: The Central Framework Of Bible Prophecy

Gary  (Unsealed) Tuesday, September 13, 2022

Background: the Bible is essentially a macro-prophetic framework and narrative centered on the person of Jesus Christ and dealing with undoing the catastrophe caused by Satan in the Garden (cf. Gen. 3:15–16 and Rev. 19:10). In other words, the Bible is the narrative of the fall and God’s plan, through the Promised Seed, to overcome the fall. Thus, the woman in labor with the injured Promised Seed (Gen. 3:15–16) is the central theme and image in Scripture. It reoccurs very often in Scripture and is central to prophecy.

This is why the Prophets so frequently prophesy through this framework (see Isa. 7:10–179:3–726:17–2166:6–9Mic. 5:1–5Jer. 30:5–11Hos. 13:9–14). For instance, immediately after we read the most famous section of Isaiah (The Suffering Servant—Isa. 53), we see the Gen. 3:15–16 image yet again (Isa. 54:1–10).

Now we read in Scripture that the Promised Seed is both individual and corporate. Paul ties this together very succinctly in Galatians 3: the Promised Seed is both Christ and the Church (Gal. 3:1629). It’s one and many. A mystery in ages past, somewhat hidden in the OT, fully revealed in the NT.

The future prophecy of Rev. 12 is based on the framework given in Isa. 26 and 66. In these two passages we see:

1. A woman in labor, defined explicitly as Israel/Zion.

2. A birth of individuals distinct from Israel/Zion (Isa. 26) / a birth of a nation distinct from Israel/Zion (Isa. 66).

3. Birthed/resurrected individuals hidden during the coming Tribulation (Isa. 26) / newly birthed nation (not Israel), born before the woman’s labor/travail/tribulation (Isa. 66).

In Rev. 12:5 John intentionally quotes the grammatically-incorrect Septuagint translation of Isa. 66 (“huion arsen”; lit. “a son, a male”); in other words, the male son of Rev. 12 is identical to the male son of Isa. 66. The male son of Isa. 66 is not an individual, but a nation—a nation distinct from Israel, because in Isa. 66 the woman is Israel, not the child. The child-nation of Isa. 66, distinct from Israel, would thus be the holy nation mentioned in 1 Pet. 2:9the Church. Note that the Church literally began/was formed, or you might say was conceived, in Israel circa 30–33 AD on Pentecost.

Isa. 66 explicitly states that the woman will give birth before her labor. The woman’s labor pains are likened to the Trouble/Tribulation of Jacob (Jer. 30), the signs of the Tribulation given by Jesus in the Olivet Discourse (Mt. 24:8), and the onset of the Day of the LORD described by Paul in 1 Thess. 5:1–4.

Putting all these pieces together, we can view Rev. 12 as the crux of Revelation and a macro-timeline of end-time events. In fact, numerous scholars have noted that the book of Revelation is what is called a chiasm and Rev. 12 is the dead center of that chiasm (see here).

So first, we’ll define our terms and characters in Revelation 12:

The woman = Israel/Zion

The child = the Church

The dragon = Satan and his system trying to thwart the Church, and preparing to “devour [the Church] the moment he is born.”

The woman’s labor = the Tribulation of Jacob; Daniel’s 70th Week; etc

Note that there isn’t really any guesswork above. Rev. 12 explicitly defines the dragon; Isa. 265466, etc, explicitly define the woman; Jer. 30Mt. 241 Thess. 5 explicitly define the labor; Isa. 65:1Deut. 32:21Rom. 10:19–201 Pet. 2:9Gal. 3:28–29Eph. 2:14–161 Cor. 12:12–27, etc, explicitly define the corporate man-child/nation; and so forth.

So, our Rev. 12-defined order of events are as follows:

1. Dragon poised to devour the Church.

2. Church miraculously raptured to escape the dragon.

Note: this completes the Mystical Body of Christ and Jesus+Church begin to reign with the rod of iron (Jesus rules with a rod of iron in Psalm 2, but Jesus extends this promise to the whole Church in Rev. 2:26–27); thus Rev. 12:5 points back to Psalm 2, Rev. 2:26–27, and also Rev. 4–5 where we see Jesus reigning in Heaven with the Elders.

3. Dragon cast down with his minions.

Important note: Medieval Catholic theology teaches Satan was cast down with his angels in the beginning, but Scripture indicates this is yet future; note he still had access to Heaven in Job and also see Zech. 3; furthermore, Paul calls him the Prince of the power of the Air and the god of this age; note also: Rev. 12 indicates when Satan is cast down he has but a short time to do what he’s going to do, that is, namely, give his power and authority to the beast (see Rev. 13). Finally, Rev. 12 mentions a multitude rejoicing in Heaven (the newly raptured Church), but a warning to earth-dwellers: “but woe to the earth and the sea, for the devil has come down to you…”

4. Woman in labor (i.e., Israel enters the Tribulation).

5. The dragon, unable to get the Church, turns his focus to pursuing Israel on earth (Rev. 12:13). This would be the first half of the Tribulation/Time of Jacob’s Trouble.

6. The woman escapes mid-trib and is fully protected for the last half, the Great Trib; see Rev. 12:614; also Mt. 24:15–22.

7. Finally, since the dragon lost the Church pre-trib (Rev. 12:5), lost Israel mid-trib (Rev. 12:614), he now turns his attention to the woman’s other children (“the remnant of her seed”) as described in Rev. 12:17. These do not escape and are all overcome by the dragon and his beast (Rev. 13:7). These would be what many call the “Trib Saints” (basically Gentiles who come to faith during the Trib and Great Trib; see Rev. 6:9–117:9–1420:4).

Note that when we see the Trib Saints resurrected at the end of the Trib in Rev. 20:4, there is also pictured a distinct group seated on thrones (the Elders—the only group on thrones in Revelation)

Pre-trib bonus round: Paul’s chronology in 1 Thessalonians 4–5

When we read the most famous rapture-related section of Scripture as a single narrative whole, without giving heed to our modern verse and chapter markings, an interesting pre-trib picture develops simply by the order in which Paul writes:

FIRST: The resurrection and rapture of the Church

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

SECOND: The Day of the Lord and a reminder weescape; theydon’t

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

FINALLY: Paul’s exhortation that the whole Church will be raptured, not just those watching; and a further reminder we are not appointed to wrath (cf. 1 Thess. 1:10), but they are, whereas we are appointed (“destined”) to live together with Him (i.e., 1 Thess 4:16–18 = 1 Thess. 5:9–11)

You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

Revelation 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Commentary; the rider is the ‘beast’ or ‘antichrist’. His being clothed in white suggests ‘3’ false righteousness, false peace and false authority. He has a bow, but no arrows. He rules with lies and threats, but no military or arms. He conquers and subjugates, not with force but with ‘5’ lies, deception, false covenants and false agreements and false promises. He is the world’s greatest ‘political’ leader and deceiver. He is the one who ‘confirms the false covenant of seven years with Jacob’ which starts the tribulation. You should know now of who I speak. His ‘crown’ represents authority, rulership and position. It even literally represents his ‘position’ as Crown Prince, once the tribulation begins. My discernment is that the ‘white horse upon which he sits’ is symbolically a white Arabian stallion.

But how can they call on him (Jesus Christ) to save them unless they believe in him (Jesus Christ)? And how can they believe in him (Jesus Christ) if they have never heard about him (Jesus Christ)? And how can they hear about him (Jesus Christ) unless someone tells them?” —Romans 10:14

Jesus Christ’s Offer of Salvation:

The ABCs of Salvation through Jesus Christ (the Lamb)

A. Admit/Acknowledge/Accept that you are sinner. Ask God’s forgiveness and repent of your sins.

. . . “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23).

. . . “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10).

. . . “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8).

B. Believe Jesus is Lord. Believe that Jesus Christ is who He claimed to be; that He was both fully God and fully man and that we are saved through His death, burial, and resurrection. Put your trust in Him as your only hope of salvation. Become a son or daughter of God by receiving Christ.

. . . “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:15-17). For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13).

C. Call upon His name, Confess with your heart and with your lips that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.

. . . “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10).

. . . “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” (John 1:8-10).

. . . “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. (John 2:2).

. . . “In this was manifested the love of god toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.” (1 John 4:9, 14-15).

. . . “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” (Romans 5:8-10).

. . . “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23).

. . . “Jesus saith unto them, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6).

. . . “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.” (Romans 1:16).

. . . “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts: 4:12).

. . . “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth for there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:4-6).

. . . “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5:9).

. . . “But as many as received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” (John 1:12).

True Church / Bride of Christ Spared from God’s Wrath:

Romans 5:8-10. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”

Romans 12:19. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 1:10. And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

1 Thessalonians 5:9. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Romans 8:35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Jeremiah 30:7. Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
