Blog note. Jesus indicated that ‘fearful sights’ (various natural disasters) would occur leading up to the time known as the Tribulation and Great Tribulation (a combined seven year period of great destruction on earth). Although these types of things have occurred in the past for centuries and thousands of years, they could be identified as the ‘season of the times’ due to the ferociousness of these events. They would be occurring in greater intensity, severity, frequency, size, duration, scope … just like the pains that a woman experiences in labor the farther along she is in the labor process. We are in the ‘season of the times’ that comes just before the seven (7) year Tribulation/Great Tribulation period
… And great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, and famines, and
pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
(Luke 21:11).
… And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and
upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves
roaring; (Luke 21:25)
… Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which
are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken; (Luke 21:26)
… This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2 Timothy
3:1)
Jesus is giving a series of prophecies about what to look for as the age of
grace comes to a close. These verses are several of many such prophecies from
throughout the Bible. 2017 was the worst year in recorded history for the
intensity, frequency, severity, duration and occurrence of a large number of
severe natural disasters worldwide. Earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes,
typhoons, cyclones, torrential flooding, unprecedented wildfires in unusual
places, devastating droughts, excessive/scorching heat setting records
everywhere, record snowfalls in Europe and Russia. Snow in the Arabia. This
list can go on. Most studied Eschatologists believe these ‘fearful sights’ and
massive natural disasters are all part of the ‘CONVERGENCE’ of signs that this
Biblical and prophetic age is closing. Most people who study prophecy are
familiar with the routine reference(s) made that these things will be like
a woman having labor pains, growing in intensity, frequency, size, duration and
scope.
Cyclone Maha track update: Cyclone Bulbul to hit India with torrential rain as storms form. TWO CYCLONIC systems are tracking close to India and are forecast to unleash heavy rain and strong winds to Bengal, Odisha and Gujarat.

Heavy rain, strong winds and rough seas are forecast for areas along the Bay of Bengal as two weather systems church through the ocean. Cyclone Bulbul is being closely monitored and is forecast to strengthen over the next few days. While Cyclone Maha is decreasing in strength but is still expected to bring heavy rain across Gujarat.
Cyclone Bulbul
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Cyclone Bulbul is tracking over the east-central Bay of Bengal.
The weather system has moved northwards at a speed of 8mph over the past six hours.
In their latest advisory at 8.30am IST (3.30am GMT) Bulbul was located approximately 422 miles south-southeast of Paradip, Odisha and 484 miles south-southeast of Sager Islands, West Bengal.
Wind speeds measured 40mph with stronger gusts of 51mph.
The IMD forecasts Bulbul will continue to strengthen, becoming a severe cyclonic storm over the next 24 hours.
Wind speeds are forecast to peak on Saturday, November 9, reaching 75 to 80 mph with stronger gusts of 90mph.
The IMD warn Bulbul is likely to move north-northwestwards towards Western Bengal and the Bangladesh coasts.
In Odisha, all district administrations have been asked to monitor the development of Bulbul, as it could bring widespread rainfall across several locations.
The IMD has forecast light to moderate rainfall in most areas across West Bengal and heavy rain in isolated areas on November 10 and 11.
Squally winds are also forecast, with gusts of up to 37mph over northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha-West Bengal coasts from the evening of November 8.
These winds will then increase in intensity as the weather system tracks closer to Bengal.
This will, in turn, impact the seas around the Bay of Bengal, creating rough and dangerous conditions.
Cyclone Maha
Cyclonic storm Maha has tracked across the Arabian sea, where it has weakened to a deep depression.
The IMD further said ‘Maha’ is “very likely” to skirt the Saurashtra coast.
The forecasters stated: “It would lay centred about 40 km (24 miles) south of Diu around noon of November 7 as a deep depression.
“The system would further weaken into a depression by tomorrow (November 7) evening,”
Despite the forecast weakening, the IMD warned there will be light to moderate rain on Thursday in parts of Maharashtra — Madhya Maharashtra, Thane and Palghar districts.
Light to moderate rainfall is also forecast across Gujarat, with heavy to very heavy falls at isolated places likely over Saurashtra.
The parts of Gujarat that are expected to receive rains include Diu, Junagarh, Gir Somnath, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Surat, Bharuch, Anand, Porbandar and Rajkot during the next 24 hours.
Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Bhavnagar, Surat, Bharuch, Anand, Ahmedabad and Vadodara.
Heavy rainfall at isolated places over Botad and Ahmedabad is forecast during the next 12 hours.
