Blog note 1: Israel is forging a common front with Saudi Arabia, against Iran in the region. Saudis and Israelis are friendly towards each other and consider themselves united against the Iranian threat. This is one reason why Saudi Arabia is in a strong position to help endorse and confirm whatever “peace and security” agreement Israel eventually agrees to. If the peace agreement with the Palestinians forces the checking of Iranian power, the Saudi’s will be for it. The Trump ‘deal of the century’ team has been conferring with Saudi’s leading up to whatever will be announced soon. Trump knows that Saudi Arabia is the KEY ally in the region that has the power to rally other Arab nations in coming to a regional consensus in confirmation or approval of any peace deal. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Both Saudi Arabia and Israel see themselves as friends because of this statement. International support of and for Mohammed Bin Salman and Saudi Arabia, by Israel, is exactly what the Crown Prince needs and wants. End of note 1.
Blog Note 2: For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:3). This verse is believed by eschatologists to be a key verse that describes a period of time when Israel signs a worldwide peace or security agreement that is confirmed or verified by the antichrist. Other Biblical verses describe this Jewish agreement as a covenant with death. This Israel security agreement event for ‘peace and safety’ is also believed to be one of the catalysts initiating the Tribulation period on earth. The world today is clamoring for a ‘two-state’ solution between the Jews and the Palestinians regarding the status and geography of Jerusalem. The Bible is clear that a large portion of land in the Middle East was given and promised to the Jews by God, including the current land under contention internationally. The Jews currently do not occupy any significant amount of land that was originally promised and given to them by God.
Zechariah 12:2 … Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
Zechariah 12:3 … And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
Daniel 9:27 … And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Isaiah 28:15 … Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
Isaiah 28:18 … And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. End of note 2.
Report: Saudi Arabia mulling normalization with Israel
Lebanese paper claims Saudi Foreign Ministry urging Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MbS) to normalize relations with Jewish state.
As long as MBS has the support of world powers like the United States, the UAE, and Israel, I don’t think he’s going to change,” Hala Aldosari, a fellow at Harvard’s Radcliffe Institute, said in a phone interview
Saudi Arabia’s crown prince said in a published interview that Israelis are entitled to live peacefully on their own land, another public sign of an apparent thawing in ties between the two countries.
Asked if he believes the Jewish people have aright to a nation state in at least part of their ancestral homeland, Mohammed bin Salman was quoted by US magazine The Atlantic assaying: “I believe the Palestinians and the Israelis have the right to have their own land. But we have to have a peace agreement to assure the stability for everyone and to have normal relations.”
Increased tension between Tehran and Riyadh has fueled speculation that shared interests may push Saudi Arabia and Israel to work together against what they regard as a common Iranian threat. “There are a lot of interests we share with Israel and if there is peace, there would be a lot of interest between Israel and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries,” Prince Mohammed added. (Night watchman’s note; GCCC are the ‘many’).
Saudi Arabia opened its air space for the first time to a commercial flight to Israel last month, which an Israeli official hailed as historic following two years of efforts. In November, an Israeli cabinet member disclosed covert contacts with Saudi Arabia, a rare acknowledgment of long-rumoured secret dealings which Riyadh still denies. Saudi Arabia condemned US President Donald Trump’s move to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel last year. But Arab officials told Reuters at the time that Riyadh appears to be on board with a broader US strategy for an Israeli-Palestinian peace plan still in its early phases of development.
According to a report by a Lebanese newspaper Tuesday, the Saudi government is weighing the possible normalization of relations with Israel ahead of a planned Middle East peace program by the Trump administration which aims to not only secure a final status agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, but lead to recognition of the Jewish state by the larger Arab world. In the letter, Adel al-Jubeir urges the Crown Prince to accept the Trump administration’s efforts to normalize relations between Israel and the Arab world, listing the potential benefits of such a dramatic shift in Saudi policy. While al-Jubeir acknowledges that the move would initially be rejected by much of the Arab world, it would have long-term benefits. The Saudi Crown Prince is believed to be behind a series of reforms aimed at modernizing his kingdom’s economy and currying favor with Western governments.
