The billionaire’s Neuralink company implanted the first chip in a human brain last January, and is now gearing up for a second trial.

CELL PHONES WILL BECOME OBSOLETE IN THE FUTURE, BEING REPLACED BY CHIPS THAT ARE IMPLANTED DIRECTLY IN THE HUMAN BRAIN, BILLIONAIRE TECH ENTREPRENEUR ELON MUSK HAS PREDICTED.

His Neuralink biotech company IMPLANTED A BRAIN CHIP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 30-YEAR-OLD QUADRIPLEGIC NOLAND ARBAUGH BACK IN JANUARY. The surgical procedure involved placing THE COMPUTER CHIP – WHICH IS ABOUT THE SIZE OF A COIN – IN THE REGION OF THE BRAIN WHICH CONTROLS THE INTENTION TO MOVE. THE CHIP IS THEN USED TO “RECORD AND TRANSMIT BRAIN SIGNALS WIRELESSLY TO AN APP THAT DECODES MOVEMENT INTENTION.”

Musk shared his latest prediction in response to a post published on X (formerly Twitter) by a parody account named Not Elon Musk on Sunday. The original message read: “Would you install a Neuralink interface on your brain to allow you to control your new X phone by thinking?”

Musk replied by claiming that “in the future, there will be no phones, just Neuralinks.”

In its press release last year, Neuralink said its PRECISE ROBOTICALLY IMPLANTED BRAIN-COMPUTER INTERFACE (PRIME) PROGRAM AIMS AT DEVELOPING A “FULLY IMPLANTABLE, WIRELESS BRAIN-COMPUTER INTERFACE” that would at first grant people the ability to control a computer cursor or keyboard using their thoughts. It would later pave the way for revolutionary treatments for people suffering from various physical disabilities such as paralysis and blindness, as well as illnesses like obesity, autism, depression, and schizophrenia.

In an interview with Joe Rogan in 2018, Musk suggested that Neuralink COULD ALSO ONE DAY ALLOW HUMANS TO COMMUNICATE WITHOUT USING WORDS, AND POSSIBLY ALSO ACHIEVE A STATE OF “SYMBIOSIS” WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted approval for the first chip implantation trial last May. Several weeks after the procedure in late January, Musk reported that the man had made a “full recovery with no ill effects that we are aware of,” and was capable of moving a computer mouse around the screen “by just thinking.”

However, in May, Neuralink acknowledged that it had ENCOUNTERED CERTAIN ISSUES AFTER TINY WIRES IMPLANTED IN THE BRAIN WERE DISLODGED OUT OF POSITION.

Nevertheless, the FDA gave the green light for a second human trial, the Wall Street Journal reported last month. The next experiment, which is reportedly slated for June, will feature a modified procedure, whereby A CHIP WILL BE IMPLANTED DEEPER INTO THE BRAIN TO PREVENT IT FROM RETRACTING.

Elon Musk has announced that the first patient to receive the Neuralink brain chip has fully recovered from the operation to implant it and is already capable of interacting with a computer using thought.

The billionaire initially reported that the chip was successfully implanted late last month, after Neuralink received approval for human trial recruitment in September. The surgery involved using a specially-designed robot to place the computer chip – which is about the size of a coin with ultra-thin flexible threads –  in the region of the brain which controls the intention to move, Neuralink has explained. The chip is then used to record and transmit brain signals wirelessly to an app that decodes movement intention.

In an update during a Spaces event on Monday, Musk stated that “progress is good” and that the patient has made “a full recovery with no ill effects that we are aware of.” Additionally, he claimed that the unnamed person implanted with the Neuralink chip is now capable of moving a computer mouse around the screen “by just thinking.”

Neuralink is now trying to get as many precise mouse movements and left and right mouse button clicks as possible from the patient in order to have the anonymous volunteer click, drag and hold objects, Musk added.

The startup has claimed that the ultimate goal of the project, dubbed the PRIME Study, is to develop a “fully-implantable, wireless brain-computer interface” that would at first grant people the ability to control a computer cursor or keyboard using their thoughts alone and later make way for groundbreaking treatments for people suffering from various physical disabilities such as paralysis and blindness, as well as illnesses like obesity, autism, depression, and schizophrenia.

Musk has also argued that humanity needs to develop new forms of interacting with computers and processing information in order to ensure the survival of the human race in a world dominated by artificial intelligence. 

In an interview with Joe Rogan in 2018, the billionaire suggested that aside from curing disabilities, Neuralink could also one day allow humans to communicate without using words and possibly achieve a state of “symbiosis” with AI, which he expects to be ubiquitous in the future.

The latest advances in artificial intelligence could soon lead to sex dolls that are “alive” and dating sites being flooded with realistic AI avatars, former Google X chief business officer Mo Gawdat has claimed.

The former executive at Google’s R&D department told the Impact Theory podcast that THE CONVERGENCE OF AI, VIRTUAL AND AUGMENTED REALITY MAY END UP ALTERING THE VERY FABRIC OF SOCIETY AND CREATING A “VERY SIGNIFICANT REDESIGN OF LOVE AND RELATIONSHIPS.” 

Asked by host Tom Bilyeu about the near-term disruptions that AI cold cause, especially regarding sex, Gawdat noted that alternative sexual activity is already here and that people need only to obtain a VR headset and see how incredibly realistic sex simulations have become. 

“Just think about all the illusions that we are now unable to decipher,” Gawdat stated, adding that “sex happens in the brain at the end of the day and the physical aspect of it is not that difficult to simulate.”  

“IF WE CAN CONVINCE YOU THAT THIS SEX ROBOT IS ALIVE OR THAT SEX EXPERIENCE IN A VIRTUAL REALITY HEADSET OR AN AUGMENTED REALITY HEADSET IS ALIVE, THEN THERE YOU GO. GO A FEW YEARS FURTHER AND THINK OF NEURALINK AND OTHER WAYS OF CONNECTING DIRECTLY TO YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM, WHY WOULD YOU NEED ANOTHER [HUMAN] BEING IN THE FIRST PLACE?” Gawdat asked. 

The former CBO argued that THE JOY OF COMPANIONSHIP AND SEXUALITY ARE “ALL SIGNALS IN YOUR BRAIN” AND SUGGESTED THAT SUCH ACTIVITY COULD BE SIMULATED, MUCH LIKE SCIENTISTS CAN NOW “VERY EASILY” SIMULATE HOW TO MOVE MUSCLES AND COPY OTHER BRAIN SIGNALS. 

Gawdat went on to dismiss the “huge debate” about AI sentience or how people should interact with it. “Does it matter if the Morgan Freeman talking to you on the screen is actually Morgan Freeman or an AI-generated avatar if you’re convinced that it is Morgan Freeman?” 

He also noted the big business incentives in further developing AI technology, especially in the realm of dating, where apps like Replica – an AI chatbot that learns to mimic users’ writing styles in order to develop bonds with them – already boast some 2 million users. 

“Because there is money in it, what would prevent the next dating app from giving you avatars to date?” he asked. “A lot of people will try it,” Gawdat claimed, admitting that he doesn’t know if such “eerie” advancements are for better or worse.

THE WEF ARTICLE GOES ON TO NOTE THAT THE END RESULT OF A FUSION BETWEEN HUMAN AND MACHINE WOULD BE AN “ENHANCED OR AUGMENTED” VERSION OF HOMO SAPIENS – but still insists the person would remain fundamentally human.

However, a journal published in 2018, “Transhumanism as the dominant ideology of the fourth industrial revolution” by Klaus-Gerd Giesen, a professor of political science at Clermont Auvergne University in Clermont-Ferrand, France, contradicts this premise.

Susan Levin, a professor in the Humanities and chair of the philosophy department at Smith University, stated during a 2021 interview that even if technology and science were able to deliver a transhuman world, people still shouldn’t want to get on board.

“We should have serious qualms about signing on. For they largely presume the veracity of their own, highly contentious and constrictive answers to longstanding questions in Western philosophy about human nature and a flourishing life. Why should we accept their extreme version of rational essentialism, which excludes a necessary role for emotion in a life well lived?” Levin said.

Meanwhile, Schwab and other global “elites” like Microsoft founder BILL GATES have been a driving force behind efforts to lower birth rates through funding abortion, VACCINES and contraception. It seems like an about-face to push for people to “live forever,” although arguably a transhuman, part-machine population devoid of its humanity might be easier to control.
