Land, Vomiting Out Inhabitants
‘Vomiting’ is a metaphor for violently expelling, discharging, removing, eradicating, forcing out or ‘getting rid of’. Because of ‘sin’ and ‘abominations’ that cause the Lord God disgust, he will remove the people or nations from the lands they were/are given, because they did not keep his commandments, laws, or correct ways of living. ‘Vomiting’ describes something (sin, abominations) ‘vile’, ‘sick’, ‘poisonous’, ‘deadly’, ‘disgusting’, ‘gross’, ‘evil’, ‘reprobate’, ‘foul’, ‘loathsome’, ‘reprehensible’, ‘contamination’, ‘not pure’, ‘deathly,’ that which needs to be (forcefully) ‘eradicated’ or ‘removed’ from its present state or location.
God is referring to the ‘gross’ sin and ‘abominations’ occurring in the lands or locations he gave people. In lands of ‘milk and honey’ (wholesome, good things), the people who sin(ned) turn the land into something vile or putrid and offensive, and thus need to be cast out or ‘vomited out’ like a poison that has made the land sick.
The simple interpretation of the above scripture is this: The sins of the people defile the land, and God therefore punishes the land for their sins. But then the land refuses the punishment and therefore vomits out the perpetrators of such sins.
Muslim Death (Those Who Worship the Dragon and the Beast). First they bathe and cleanse the body. The exception is if the person dies in battle or his death is suspicious, requiring an autopsy. A piece of cloth is used to completely cover the body. Think shroud of Turin. Then there is a communal prayer, usually in a mosque, followed by a burial with NO COFFIN. The body is placed with the head facing Mecca. Two simple stones are place to mark the head and the feet. No names, no plaques, no nothing. IN a few years, they will recycle the grave and stick another body on top of the previous one. Recycle and Upcycle.

Typically, if a Haji (pilgrim) dies in Makkah/Madinah during or after the pilgrimage, the last rites of the Haji are all taken up by the Saudi government. From taking the body to the hospital to investigate the cause of death, giving Ghusl (bath), and even burying are all done by the government. They do not take a penny. Its all free for the Hajis. My Father-in-law expired in Makkah after Hajj and his burial was done in a place called “Sharaya” near Mina. Jannatul Mala is in Makkah, but for Hajis they bury in Sharaya. My Mother-in-law expired after a gap of 20 days in the city of Madinah and she too after Hajj. Her burial, was Alhamdulillah done in Jannatul-Baqi which is in the courtyard of the Masjid-e-nabawi (The Prophet’s Mosque). May ‘Allah’ bless them with the highest rank in Jannah. Aameen.

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa is asking for $2 billion (€1.85 billion) in food aid to help milllions of people impacted by drought brought about by the El Nino weather pattern. Zimbabwe declared a national disaster on Wednesday as the El Nino weather pattern continues to cause drought across southern Africa. The declaration follows a similar move by Malawi late last month. Neighboring Zambia designated the regional drought a national disaster late in February.
What do we know about the drought in Zimbabwe?
President Emmerson Mnangagwa said that Zimbabwe needed $2 billion (E1.85 billion) in aid to help millions of people who are going hungry. “No Zimbabwean must succumb or die from hunger,” Mnangagwa told a press conference. “To that end, I do hereby declare a nationwide State of Disaster, due to the El Nino-induced drought.” He said that over 2.7 million people, or around a sixth of the country’s population, have not had adequate access to food this year due to low yields produced during the drought.
Mnangagwa appealed to UN agencies, local businesses, and religious charity organizations to contribute to humanitarian assistance. The World Food Organization (WFO) has already rolled out an assistance program for 2.7 million people in Zimbabwe from January to March. More than 60% of Zimbabweans live in rural areas. Much of the country’s rural population lives off subsistence farming, occasionally selling small surpluses. Zimbabwe was once a major grain exporter, but has in recent years increasingly relied on aid agencies to avert famine.
What is El Nino?
El Nino is a naturally occurring and cyclical weather pattern that emerged in its latest phase in mid-2023. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) said that El Nino reached a peak in December but should still result in above-normal temperatures until May.
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) said several countries in southern Africa–Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe–recorded below average rainfall during the summer in the southern hemisphere. Higher temperatures and an “erratic” distribution of precipitation have worsened the situation.
