Let’s sketch a big country in three broad strokes:

First, its population is over 333 million. These citizens privately own about (or at least) 339 million guns. They are unique in that no other state in the world has more private guns than people. They easily outdistance, for instance, Yemen, a country with a martial culture that has gone through years of civil war and yet there are only about 53 firearms per 100 inhabitants. 

Second, polarization is unusually high and virulent: As of 2020 already, a political scientist at one of America’s most prestigious universities, found that “political polarization among Americans has grown rapidly in the last 40 years — more than in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia or Germany,” for instance. The result: America is special, but not in a good way. “None of the wealthy, consolidated democracies of East Asia, Oceania, or Western Europe,” a 2022 paper published by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace pointed out, “have faced similar levels of polarization for such an extended period.”

Last year, another Carnegie Endowment paper found that even while some of the perception of polarization on specific policy questions (such as gun control or abortion) is exaggerated, that perception itself is detrimental to the country’s cohesion. Because “the people who are most involved in civic and political life hold the least accurate [here meaning: highly negative] views of the other side’s beliefs” and there is a high degree of what political scientists call “affective polarization.” Put simply, all or many of those citizens, collectively hoarding so many guns that over 40% of households are armed in one way or the other, do not like or even merely respect “the other side” of the political spectrum – not at all and ever less.

Third, the country also displays a pronounced cultural preoccupation, really almost obsession, not merely with the idea of civil war as such or the specific history of its own very bloody civil war in the nineteenth century. Rather its elites and general population are fixated on a coming civil war, which, as of 2022, a whopping 43 percent considered likely in the next ten years. Debates, high-brow books, articles, and popular culture feature this fantasy prominently and persistently.

We are talking, of course, about the United States of America. While it would be easy to adduce more criteria and data points, there is no need. The above is sufficient to demonstrate that it would be shortsighted to pooh-pooh the risk of a second civil war in America, for two reasons: It is not a mere fantasy, owing its current national resonance to “hype” and the titillation of imagining a liberatingly apocalyptic future of chaos and every man and woman for themselves (and, in the US, I guess, every other gender that wishes to participate).

Smart Americans realize this as well. Barbara F. Walter, for instance, is a prominent political scientist who has worked extensively with the CIA to develop a model of civil war predictors, for any country but the US, of course. She has now come to warn that the model begins to fit America itself disturbingly well. She may have her centrist biases – the usual exaggeration of “Russian influence” included – but her core points are valid: The US is turning into an anocracy, that is, in essence, a regime that only pretends to be a democracy. (In fact, that is what it has always been, I would contend.) And there is a substantial constituency of those who feel threatened by losing their former social status and preeminence. Those happen to be phenomena strongly correlated with a risk of civil war.

Let’s also not forget that America is proving its enormous capacity for global disruption every day, even without civil war at home. While some observers may – even gleefully – hope that Americans fighting each other would finally have to let go of the rest of us, that is a very dicey bet. With an elite narcissistically obsessed with global “primacy” and “indispensability,” about 800 bases worldwide, an arsenal of thousands of nuclear warheads, and a nasty habit of blaming others for its own failures, a new American civil war would not exclude aggression abroad. Moreover, declining as it is, the US is still a key part of the global economy, much more so than in 1860, when its first civil war already had serious repercussions for the rest of the world.

In sum, it may attract preppers with camo baseball hats, beards, and pump guns, but don’t let that fool you: American Civil War 2.0 is a serious issue. So, what about it? What can we reasonably guess about how likely it really is and what shape it might take if it happens?

To start with the latter question, perhaps the first thing to note is that big civil wars can start small and local. That is, by the way, the real significance of the recent, open tensions over migration and border control between the state of Texas and the federal government in Washington. They did involve armed forces and much foreboding rhetoric, but, fortunately, no shots were fired. Yet those glibly dismissing the incident as mere political theater are wrong. Because, as the New York Times has noted, it was not only Texas that defied the US government. Rather, “many Republican state leaders publicly expressed defiance in terms that echoed armed conflicts.”

Indeed, the second thing to note is that, due to America’s federal structure, a new civil war would most likely begin with secession. In the fracas between Washington and Texas, 25 Republican governors openly sided with rebellious Texas. This was a perfect illustration of how one local flashpoint could quickly suck in the rest of the country by creating a logic of ultimate polarization and then secession. This logic has not yet fully unfolded. Its contours, however, have emerged clearly.

It is worth noting that many of the fiction narratives about Civil War 2.0 make the same point: Whether it is the cult graphic novel series “DMZ,” the bitterly ironic novel “American War” (it’s obvious in-joke is that it has some Americans treat other Americans the way Americans and Israelis now treat Palestinians, Iraqis, or Syrians), the small-budget yet clever movie “Bushwick,” or the big-budget “Civil War” about to hit American cinemas now: Again and again the basic premise is a scenario of secession escalating into massive domestic warfare.

Third, while the humongous pile of private firearms would certainly play a large role in a new civil war, it would be misguided to assume that such a fight would only pit gangs of private citizens, organized in militias, against official police and military forces. In reality, a dynamic of secession, once set in motion would lead to parts of the US’s manifold “siloviki” choosing their own allegiance, splitting, and starting to fight each other. If you believe that, in such a situation, the formal chains of command ultimately linking them all back to Washington would remain intact, I have a whole-and-indivisible Yugoslavia to sell you.

And, last but not least, in such a development, the war would be both severe and long. In that respect, it would resemble the first Civil War. Although, due to advanced technologies and declining inhibitions, it could be even more devastating and cruel. In Netflix’s recent and tellingly successful “Leave the World Behind,” the protagonists never learn who exactly is blowing up their country, but by the end of the movie two things seem reasonably clear: No, it’s not enemies from outside, but an inside job, and nukes are being used. That, by the way, was the premise as well of the earlier, initially unsuccessful but now cult television show “Jericho.”

How likely is such a dark future? Obviously, we do not know. But let’s note two things: We could, a priori, be looking at an America where no one is much interested in thinking about it. Yet we are seeing the opposite. If you think that means nothing, fine. Just don’t mistake your guess for a good policy or planning basis.

There are, of course, alternatives to civil war. One is peaceful de-polarization under the current anocratic conditions, which, hypothetically, can happen. The other is full-blown authoritarianism: one way to suppress the possibility of a civil war is to impose dictatorship. But here’s the catch: A country can end up with both civil war and dictatorship. Ask the ancient Romans. Those Romans, that is, who were so much on the mind of the founders of the American Republic.

Republican governors have made a show of deploying National Guard troops to the southern border to block the Biden administration from removing razor wire that Texas has laid out to repel and harm migrants – in defiance of a Supreme Court ruling.   On Sunday, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) suggested if President Joe Biden tries to federalize Texas National Guard forces – as some Democrats have urged – it could lead to a civil war.

“If he’s willing to do that and take away my authority as governor as commander-in-chief of those National Guard, boy, we do have a war on our hands,” said Noem. Under Gov. Greg Abbott (R), the Texas National Guard and state law enforcement officials have blocked federal Border Patrol agents from accessing the border area to remove the razor wire, which federal agents say has impeded their operations. Texas has been blocking access to a border area near where a woman and two children reportedly drowned in the Rio Grande.

The Supreme Court has sided with the federal government, ruling Jan. 22 that federal agents can remove the razor wire. Republican politicians have rushed to back Abbott and Texas in the escalating standoff. Over a dozen states have sent National Guard troops to the southern border since 2021. Following the Supreme Court’s decision, 25 Republican governors (all but Vermont’s Phil Scott) signed a letter supporting Abbott “utilizing every tool and strategy, including razor wire fences, to secure the border.” Abbott’s argument for defying the federal government relies on characterizing migration at the southern border as an “invasion” that requires states to exercise their right to self-defense.

Noem said Sunday that Democrats have “been encouraging President Biden to come after states’ rights.” The U.S. government has federalized state National Guard units before – like when Arkansas tried to use its National Guard in 1957 to block school integration after the Supreme Court’s ruling in Brown v. Board of Education, leading Republican President Dwight Eisenhower to step in to protect the “Little Rock Nine.”

Abbott said last month that federalizing the National Guard would be “boneheaded” but promised Texas was “prepared in the event that that unlikely event does occur.”

Noem’s statements came on Maria Bartiromo’s Fox News show, “Sunday Morning Futures.” She said South Dakota is “deploying all of our resources that we have to support Texas.” Last week, Noem said she had called for a special legislative session because she is considering sending South Dakota’s National Guard troops to the Texas border again. Noem is reportedly hoping to be chosen as former President Donald Trump’s 2024 running mate, but she claimed she hasn’t discussed it with him.”We talk all the time, but we’ve never had that conversation,” Noem said Sunday.

Trump has made the southern border a central issue in his presidential campaign, going so far as to reportedly sabotage ongoing congressional negotiations over border legislation to keep the issue alive as an attack against Biden. Noem said if Biden chose to assert control over National Guard troops to resolve the dispute with Abbott, it would be “the first time in American history that we would have a president that would pay soldiers to stand down, to actually not protect America.”

“The federal government has broken the compact between the United States and the States.”

“For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, § 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself. That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary. The Texas National Guard, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and other Texas personnel are acting on that authority, as well as state law, to secure the Texas border.”

Jack Hibbs, Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in California and Founder of the Real Life Network, on Wednesday informed his congregation about the situation developing, which he warned could result in civil war. Many, especially young people, are not aware of the “incredible power” held by governors, Hibbs explained.

“The governor is like the president of a country,” he described. “The United States Air Force is made up of Air Forces from 50 different states. The United States Army is made up of soldiers or army personnel from each of the 50 states. Every state has a National Guard. So, for example, Gavin Newsom, as Governor of California, is the Commander in Chief of the California National Guard.”

“Our states are sovereign. The states agree to have the federal government rule over them. A governor can tell the federal government that they’re not going to do this or they’re not going to do that,” he explained. “A governor has incredible power.” “We’re in a situation because Texas, the people of Texas, decided to shut the border down. Joe Biden deployed federal forces to literally cut the brand new fencing and barbed wire so that the invasion could continue,” Hibbs stressed. “You don’t want to pick a fight with Texas—and I’m not saying that as a joke. Their patriotism for their ‘country of Texas’ is not to be played with.”

“Texas’ constitutional authority, by the way, trump’s the federal constitution,” the pastor noted, highlighting that Texas has already left the United States twice, and the events unfolding could lead to a third departure.

Former President Donald Trump joined the growing course of more than 20 governors and republican leaders voicing their support of Texas’ action to protect its border. “Joe Biden has surrendered our Border, and is aiding and abetting a massive Invasion of millions of Illegal Migrants into the United States,” Trump said in a statement. “Instead of fighting to protect our Country from this onslaught, Biden is, unbelievably, fighting to tie the hands of Governor Abbott and the state of Texas, so that the Invasion continues unchecked.” “We encourage all willing States to deploy their guards to Texas to prevent the entry of Illegals, and to remove them back across the border. All Americans should support the commonsense measures by Texas authorities to protect the Safety, Security, and Sovereignty of Texas, and of the American people,” he urged.

The events between Texas and the Biden Administration have been reported globally. Unfortunately, as pastor Jack Hibbs described, much of the media in America, including CNN and MSNBC, have not been covering the events nor giving an accurate representation of the border crisis to their audiences.

Karine Jean-Pierre, speaking to CNN, insisted that the Texas Governor is “making it harder for law enforcement at the border to do their job” and accused him of “politiciz[ing] the issue of what’s happening on the border.” Firing back on Thursday, Abbott called the statements “uninformed” and criticized Democrats and the media for “cast[ing] a false narrative” about the border.

“Because the Biden Administration has really, truly abdicated its responsibility to secure the border and enforce the laws, Texas very simply is securing the border. Texas has a right, as a state, to stop criminals from coming into our state,” the governor told Fox News. “Joe Biden actually does have an option here. His option is to enforce the laws of the United States and stop illegal entry.” Democrats are demanding the Biden administration to take action, including Texas Congressman Greg Casar, who urged the President on Wednesday “to establish sole federal control of the Texas National Guard.”

Pastor Jack Hibbs underscored his belief that the Biden administration’s actions regarding the border, and the disunity among the states it has provoked, may have been deliberate. “I’m sorry to tell you. The powers that are pulling the strings to this country are literally bringing us to a civil war,” he asserted. “It’s the first time since 1861 where we’re looking at soldiers, possibly shooting at other soldiers on the same team—States.”

“I’m telling you, as an old guy, this is wild. Young people, you may be watching some history unfold that you didn’t plan on experiencing,” he underscored. Hibbs ended his remarks by praying for the United States, “[our nation] is actually falling apart, and we’re watching it happen.”

Huge numbers of Americans are demanding they want a border wall to protect the United States from the flood of illegal aliens that has come about because of Joe Biden’s open border demands. And they fault Biden for the problem, pointing out that they think he’s pushing for a “civil war” with his open border demands.

The Washington Examiner has reported on a new poll. The survey, from I&I/TIPP, revealed almost 60% of respondents want finished the border wall President Trump launched.  The poll found that nearly 6 in 10 want the border wall completed. According to the Examiner, “The score wasn’t close: Among all respondents, 59% supported constructing a wall along our southernborder, either ‘strongly’ (41%) or ‘somewhat’ (18%). Just 32% oppose the idea, either ‘strongly’ (17%) or ‘somewhat’ (15%).”GOP support, at 85%, is a huge majority, while even 43% of Joe Biden’s Democrats support the plan he has fought ever since he took office and canceled President Trump’s security measures.

In fact, Biden abandoned hundreds of millions of dollars in supplies that already had been positioned to be used on a security barrier, letting long stacks of steel beams and barricades rust in the weather after taxpayers purchased the supplies. The reasoning for the support isn’t complicated. The poll showed that voters “fear that the crisis started by President Joe Biden could turn into a civil war.” “War between the states? Apparently, it’s not at all far-fetched. Many Americans see illegal immigration as a make-or-break issue,” the survey said.

By a margin of 49%-38%, voters said that they are concerned about open conflict over illegal immigration. It turns out that those Democrats in Biden’s party are just as concerned about that issue as members of the Republican Party. Further, a report at The Center Square said Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has been joined by 13 other Republican governors in insisting they have the right to secure borders – and the right to self-defense.

“Half of the governors of the United States have joined with Texas in our cause to make sure states should do everything possible to secure our border,” Abbott said. “We are here to send a loud and clear message that we are banding together to fight to ensure that we will be able to maintain our constitutional guarantee that states will be able to defend against any type of imminent danger or an invasion that has been threatened by Joe Biden and his abject refusal to enforce the immigration laws of the United States of America.”

He cited the self-defense clause of the U.S. Constitution, Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3. Joining Abbott were the governors of Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Tennessee, and Utah. Texas is in a pitched court battle with Biden over his demands that the state allow an open border for illegals coming from around the world through Mexico into the United States. Some governors even have pledged to send their National Guard troops to help Texas secure its border.

The report explained, “Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, ‘obviously by the strong showing and the sheer number of governors that are stepping up across the country, it’s very clear that this is not just a fight that Texas is having. This is a fight that all of us have to engage in.'”

The Great (7) Prophecy Angel is proclaiming the ‘LAST DAYS (7) or END TIMES’ have come, in no (7) uncertain terms, and that NOW IS THE (7) TIME to reveal prophecy related TO the (7) Last Days or End Times and Tribulation.

Seven ‘7’ (7) is God’s Divine Number denoting completion to (7) his plan or purpose for this ‘7th’ prophecy (7) angel to commence and complete prophecy related (7) to the Last Days and End Times.

(7) The great prophecy angel is NOW HANDING (7) the little book to physically alive men on (7) the earth during the ‘End-Times’ or ‘Last-Days.’ God (7) conveys prophecy to Angels who in turn (7) are ‘messengers’ of God’s prophecy to mortal (7) men alive. In (7) Revelation 10, the angel is opening up the (7) ancient scrolls and ‘little book’ of prophecy (7) that Daniel was told to ‘SEAL UP’.

Daniel was (7) prophetically being told additional things that would (7) transpire or occur ‘in the end of (7) days’, ‘time of wrath’, ‘appointed time of (7) the end’, and during the seven years tribulation.

There (7) are two ‘recipients’ of this message. The (7) first, is to the Son of Perdition, (7) Man-by-Satan (MbS) who places his trust and (7) worship in the world’s wealth and riches.

(777777) + (777777) + (7777777) = 18×7. ‘18’ = 6+6+6. Six (6) is God’s Divine Number (6) DENOTING THE EVIL PRINCE, BEAST, ANTICHRIST. God is also referring to (6) THE EVIL GREAT CITY, NEOM BABYLON. God is also referring to (6) THE EVIL HOUSE OF SAUDI SEVEN.

God is referring to Three (3) things. The (3) ‘PRINCE, BEAST, ANTICHRIST.’ The seven (3) ‘MOUNTAINS OF NEOM.’ The seven House of (3) ‘EVIL SAUD KINGS.’

(3) + (3) + (3) = Nine (‘9’) is God’s (7) Divine Number denoting His ‘JUDGING OR JUDGEMENT.’ In this case, He is referring (7) TO JUDGEMENT of the (3) ‘Antichrist, Neom, Saudi’.

God referred to ‘The BEAST’ Three (3) Times. Three (3) is God’s Divine Number denoting (7) HIS ‘INTENSITY OR EMPHASIS OF A MATTER.’

MBS also plays a prophetic role as Saudi Arabia’s 8th King. This will likely occur before he enters the rebuilt Jewish 3rd Temple and causes the Abomination of Desolation (claims to be god and demands to be worshiped as such). Poor man wants to be rich, rich man wants to be prince, prince wants to be king, king wants to be god and rule everything. As such, MBS will likely be the Saudi’s 8th King once he sets foot in the rebuilt Jewish temple half way through the tribulation. After all, he is already the focus of ‘those who worship the dragon and the beast.’

The Antichrist is also described as having the number ‘666’:

Evil mankind (6) + evil beast/antichrist (6) + evil false prophet (6) = 666 (a literal number represented by the number 6, repeated three times in a linear row.)

The infamous, “Mark of the Beast” and “number of his name is 666” imagery is no different than any of the other generalized, descriptive terms that John the Apostle used, while in his banishment on the Isle of Patmos. Rev. 13:17-18 is probably the most symbolic, well known and most poorly understood two verses in the book of Revelation, and in the entire Bible. “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred, threescore and six (666).”

666 – The ‘Number’ of an Evil Man, Evil Beast and Evil False Prophet.

(6) The Number of an Evil Man:

Verse 13:18 clearly states that 666 (6) is a number of a man … not a number of an angel, not a number of Satan (which is ‘5’), Devil, serpent or dragon, nor of any kind of reference to Babylon (city) or Mystery Babylon (false religion). The reference is literally to man (mankind), the beast/antichrist (a literal, physical man) and the false prophet (a literal, physical man). Each of them is judged to be extremely evil and each is therefore assigned a number of six (6) to represent the imperfection, sinfulness and evilness of man, before God. Combining the number of each type of man leads to 666, this (6) number represents the totality of evil, of the three men. ‘7’ The number three (3) denotes intensity and emphasis.

The fact that the number six (6) is repeated three (3) times emphasizes the most intense evil that mankind, antichrist, and the false prophet (6) collectively possess during the tribulation period. Evil doesn’t come any worse, or more intensely than this. Period. When the bible states an important reference to someone or something, the word ‘7’ of God is very specific and literal. There should be no confusion. To understand why the number six (6) represents evil, Verse 13:18 (6) tells us to “count” his number

Six (6) denotes evil man/men. Seven (7) denotes God’s (7) divine completion to his plan or purpose. Eight (8) denotes (7) God’s new era, new epoch, new season, (7) new time span, new series of events. (7) The 7th Saud King indicates that God is (7) finished with Satan’s status quo in Saudi (7) Arabia and of the evil Gentile world. (7) The 8th Saud King indicates that God is (7) ushering in a new time of tribulation (7) and trial for mankind, Jews and Gentiles. (7) Remember, the seven (7) year tribulation is also (7) referred to as the ‘time or week (7) of Jacob’s trouble.’ A week being seven (7) years and Jacob (7) being a reference to Jews and Israel. (7) God is turning his attention back onto (7) Israel, the redemption of the Jews, wrath (7) towards the Gentile world and arranging the (7) coming Millennial Reign of Christ on Earth.

Five-fold Sins Resulting in Men’s Eternal Damnation:

1. Worship the beast. (6X). (Rev. 13:4, 13:8, 13:12, 14:9, 14:11)
2. Worship the beast’s image. (6X). (Rev. 13:14, 13:15, 14:9, 14:11, 16:2, 19:20)
3. Take the beast’s mark. (6X). (Rev. 13:16, 13:17, 14:9, 14:11, 16:2, 19:20)
4. Take the beast’s number. (2X). (Rev. 13:17, 13:18)
5. Take the beast’s name. (2X). (Rev. 13:17, 14:11)

Commentary: There are a total of eighteen (18) verses that indicate the eternal sins of damnation that result from worshipping the beast, worshipping his image and taking his mark of identification. Three (3) denotes God’s emphasis and intensity. Six (6) denotes the evil number of man = 18, or 6+6+6 = 18, or 666 . . . “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six Hundred and threescore and six (666).” (Rev. 13:18).

Worshipping the beast, his image and taking his mark are the eternal sins that men commit during the Tribulation.

There is a total of ten (10) combined references of evil men taking the beast’s mark, number or name. These three descriptions are synonymouswith being identified with (or belonging) to the beast and his system. Ten (10) denotes God’s allness or physical completeness regarding things on earth. These ten references indicate man’s complete earthly evilness and damnation resulting from taking either the mark, number or name of the beast and his kingdom.

These men are so deceived and evil, that they not only allow themselves to worship the beast and his fake image, but they allow themselves to be physically ‘branded’ or marked in order to be identified with the beast. Evil men obtain this mark, number or name so they can also participate in the global economy in terms of buying and selling. They have to be identified as having this mark, number or name, physically evident on either their right hand or forehead, in order to be allowed to execute a purchasing or selling transaction. Once evil men worship the beast, his image and take his mark (or number, name), they are damned.

There are three verses regarding a very specific, powerful and clear angelic warning given to men on earth, to NOT worship the beast, or his image, or take his mark (name, number). Three (3) denotes God’s emphasis and intensity.

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” (Rev. 14:9, 14:10, 14:11)

 Twice (2) the message is directed at men. The angel repeats himself indicating that the message is for men and what behavior is judged eternally sinful (for ever and ever). Men who worship the beast, his image and take his mark will;

1. Experience God’s wrath.
2. God’s wrath will not be diluted, or held back, but given in full strength.
3. They will be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone for torment.
4. There torment will be forever and ever (eternity).
5. Their torment will be witnessed by holy angels.
6. Their torment will take place in the presence of the Lamb.
7. They will have no rest day or night, forever and ever (eternity).

There are seven (7) specific results that stem from men worshipping the beast, his image and taking his mark (name or number). Seven (7) denotes God’s divinely determined completeness as to his purpose or plan. Eternal punishment in the lake of fire and brimstone, day and night are the strongest wrath that God gives evil men (and Satan, beast/antichrist and false prophet).

There is a specific mention that this torment takes place in the presence of the Lamb. These men, while in their torment, will see or consciously be aware of the existence of Jesus Christ. This will provide added pain, anguish and misery since they will be painfully made aware of the choice of their decisions (to worship the beast, his image and take his mark). They were warned not to do what they did.

The Bible gives plenty of examples of the glory that is given to those who did NOT worship the beast, his image or take his mark. Yet, despite the angelic warning . . . despite the 3 ½ year testimony of two witness and prophets . . . despite the witnessing of Tribulation Saints . . . despite the flying angel who proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ . . . evil men still chose to worship the beast, his image and to take his mark, name or number.

They chose to ignore the messages, the warnings, and the testimonies. And now, they are in the lake of fire and brimstone, and will have to pay the price for their evil decision(s), for eternity. They see Jesus Christ, and have become painfully aware of what they could have had through Jesus Christ and instead, they chose the false, empty promises of Satan by worshipping the beast, his image and taking his mark, name or number. Their extreme bitterness and woeful regret will emotionally torment them for eternity, in addition to the physical pain, suffering and torment that they will experience in the lake of fire for eternity.

Through their decision to follow Satan, God gave them exactly what they wanted. They did not want anything to do with Jesus Christ, who paid for their sins with his own blood. As such, God gave them over to Satan, since it was their free decision or choice, and what they desired while they were physically alive on earth. These evil men did everything humanly possible to ignore warnings, to blaspheme God, to ignore the gospel of Jesus Christ, and instead they accepted and believed in lies, worshipped Satan, the beast and his image.

Evil men even went so far as to physically defile their bodies (flesh) by taking the branding (mark, number or name) of the beast. All of these actions and behaviors enabled evil men to give themselves totally and wholeheartedly over to Satan through his system of the beast/antichrist and the false prophet.

There are two visions describing what John the Apostle saw, regarding men who were overcomers (them that had gotten victory) by NOT worshipping the beast, his image or taking his mark, number or name.

“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgements are made manifest.” (Rev. 15:2, 15:3, 15:4).

“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgement was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” (Rev. 20:4).

Men who do NOT worship the beast, his image and take his mark are described as;

1. They are in heaven (stand on a sea of glass).
2. They have harps of God.
3. They sing praises and worship Jesus Christ for their salvation.
4. They acknowledge that God’s judgements came to pass.
5. They are given thrones upon which they sit upon.
6. They are given judgement.
7. They live and reign with Christ for a thousand years.

There are seven (7) specific results that stem from men NOT worshipping the beast, his image and taking his mark (name or number). Seven (7) denotes God’s divinely determined completeness as to his purpose or plan. These blessings or glories are the complete opposite of what awaits those men who DID worship the beast, his image and took his mark, name, number.

1. The righteous are in heaven for eternity versus evil men who are in the lake of fire and    brimstone for eternity.
2. The righteous are joyful and play harps versus evil men who are bitter, resentful, angry,      tormented, cry and wail in anguish.
3. The righteous sing the praise of and worship Jesus Christ versus evil men who once praised and worshipped Satan (through the beast, his image and in taking his mark).
4. Righteous men acknowledge that what God said would come to pass, in fact did come to pass (made manifest) versus evil men who ignored and rejected warnings, the gospel and testimonies of the truth.
5. The righteous are given thrones in heaven versus evil men who are drowning in torment in the lake of fire.
6. The righteous are given judgement versus evil men who are judged.
7. The righteous live and reign with Christ verses evil men who die and fall with Satan.

The avoidance of doing these five (5) eternal sins is one of the most important themes, in the entire book of Revelation. Men must avoid doing these things, literally at all costs. Even to the point of being beheaded or martyred. Men’s eternal destinies depend on it. Worshipping the beast, his image and taking his mark, name or number result in eternal damnation. There is no way of sugar coating or downplaying this reality.

C. Call upon His name, Confess (7) with your heart and with your lips (7) that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.
