(Bloomberg) — Saudi Arabia is (5) pushing for key Arab states (5) to take a common position on how to end Israel’s war on Hamas as fears grow over its attacks on the refugee haven of Rafah — while increasing calls (5) for an independent Palestinian state. 

The foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates as well as a senior aide to President Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority traveled to Riyadh on Thursday to meet with Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal Bin Farhan. Included on the agenda was a call for an “immediate and full cease-fire” in Gaza, according to a Saudi communique issued at the start of the gathering, and the removal of all obstacles to the entry of aid into the war-torn enclave.

On top of that, the kingdom made clear that “irrevocable steps had to be taken to implement a two-state solution and recognize the state of Palestine.” This demand — popular throughout the Arab world — has repeatedly been dismissed out of hand by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu since Hamas invaded the country from Gaza on Oct. 7, triggering the ongoing conflict. Hamas is designated a terrorist organization by the EU and the US.

“This meeting is about consolidating the core group of Arab states that are working with the Americans on the Gaza crisis and Palestinian issue,” said Ali Shihabi, a Saudi analyst close to the royal court.

Balancing Act 

The meeting was held as Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler, Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, strives to balance opposition to Israel’s military campaign with a desire to build closer ties with the US, particularly over defense. Washington is pushing the kingdom to agree to diplomatic ties with Israel as part of those negotiations, though Prince Mohammed has made clear, especially after Oct. 7, a path toward a Palestinian state is a pre-condition to any deal.

The diplomatic exchanges are becoming increasingly urgent as Israel starts to bomb the southern Gaza city of Rafah, which lies near the territory’s border with Egypt. More than one million people have sought refuge there since the start of the war, having fled to escape Israel’s initial attacks on Gaza City in the north. The United Nations has warned that a “humanitarian nightmare” risks getting worse if attacks on Rafah intensify.

US President Joe Biden criticized the extent of Israel’s military campaign on Thursday, calling it “over the top” and emphasizing there are “a lot of innocent people who are in trouble and dying.” Israel’s attempt to destroy Hamas has killed more than 27,000 people in Gaza so far, according to health officials in the Hamas-run territory, while disease and starvation in the enclave are rife.   

The Riyadh meeting of Arab foreign ministers came immediately after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken ended his fifth tour of the region since Oct 7. He told reporters in Tel Aviv Wednesday that while he is “intensely focused” on international negotiations aimed at releasing Israeli hostages held by Hamas and implementing a “humanitarian pause,” he also discussed with Arab and Israeli officials “the substance and sequence of steps” needed to create “a concrete, time-bound, irreversible path to a Palestinian state.”  

Post-War Plans

A senior Arab diplomat said the Riyadh meeting was an attempt to advance a unified position in the face of post-war plans for Gaza floated by Israeli and US officials.

The diplomat, who asked not to be identified discussing sensitive matters, said the objective of the meeting was to build Arab consensus around the idea that a permanent cease-fire and relief for Palestinian civilians must be followed by an agreement on the framework for Palestinian statehood. He said that would be a precondition for Arab involvement in any future security arrangements and rebuilding plans for Gaza.    

A person close to the Saudi leadership said that while Washington and Riyadh had made significant progress in talks over a binding defense treaty, many differences remained over the issue of Palestinian statehood. The Saudi foreign ministry did not respond to multiple requests for comment. 

Iran and militant groups backed by Tehran, including the Houthis in Yemen and Hezbollah in Lebanon, have said any normalization of ties between Saudi Arabia and Israel would be tantamount to treason to Arabs and Muslims. And even the countries invited to Riyadh have varied agendas. The UAE, which is already at peace with Israel, has its own calculations to make and so does Qatar, which hosts several Hamas leaders.

Jon Alterman, director of the Middle East program at the Washington-based CSIS think tank, sees some progress happening this year on Saudi-Israel ties and Palestinian statehood but no landmark deal. “Middle East peace breakthroughs have often come after leaders got frustrated with slow multilateral negotiations,” he said. “We don’t even have a multilateral negotiation yet, let alone one that everyone thinks is too slow and messy.”

Saudi Arabia has resumed talks with the US about forging closer defense ties after a pause following the start of the Israel-Hamas war in early October, according to people familiar with the discussions.

Discussions took place in the town of Alula in northwestern Saudi Arabia between de-facto ruler Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and US senators earlier this month, said the people, asking not to be identified due to the sensitivity of the matter. On the agenda was a revival of earlier negotiations about a defense pact that would also have included an historic tie-up between Saudi Arabia and Israel, they said.

MBS, as the 38-year-old leader is known, still sees opportunities for greater US cooperation despite anger across the Arab world over the continuing strikes by Israel, a key US ally, on Hamas, and the deaths of Palestinians in Gaza, said two people with knowledge of his thinking. The US is also at the heart of simmering regional tensions. Over the weekend, three American soldiers died in an attack on a base in Jordan, while US forces have launched several airstrikes on Yemen to counter ship attacks by Houthi militants.

A major stumbling block to the talks is that Saudi Arabia has long said any deal with Israel would be conditional on steps toward the creation of an independent state for Palestinians. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government is firmly against that and its resolve has only strengthened since the outbreak of war with Hamas, a group Israel says needs to be completely destroyed.

Treading Carefully

Given the likely backlash among Arabs and Muslims to any Israel deal, Saudi Arabia must tread carefully. The kingdom is sending what it hopes are the right signals to all parties concerned: assuring that any agreement is now conditional on a state for Palestinians, pushing for a cease-fire in Gaza and engaging the US on postwar scenarios.

The Saudi defense ministry referred questions to the government, whose center for international communications didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. The US National Security Council declined to comment.

Critical Visitors

Prince Mohammed’s guests included erstwhile critics such as New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who previously signed a letter to his father King Salman expressing concern about “systematic human rights abuses” — including the murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi. Another visitor was Mark Warner, chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and also a Democrat, who in 2018 cited “careless bombings” by Saudi Arabia in Yemen.

Of mutual interest between Saudi Arabia and the US is how to counter the Houthis in Yemen, who MBS has been trying to secure a peace deal with after a decade of fighting. The US airstrikes are in response to persistent attacks by the Iran-backed group on shipping in the Red Sea, roiling global trade.

The US is also weighing a response to the attack in Jordan, which President Joe Biden has blamed on Tehran-backed militias. Iran has urged the US to use diplomacy to ease tensions, while denying involvement in the strike.

Before Oct. 7, when Hamas triggered the war with Israel by invading the south of the country, a US-Saudi defense pact and US assistance in launching a civil nuclear program were among the kingdom’s main preconditions for normalizing relations with Israel. There was talk of rolling everything into one deal that would ease Congressional approval and help Biden notch a big foreign policy gain in an election year.

Everything changed after that date, as it became less likely than ever that the issue of a Palestinian state could be sidelined.

But the way Iran was able to mobilize members of its so-called axis of resistance, including Hamas and the Houthis, in such a coordinated manner after Oct. 7 served as a stark reminder to the Saudi leadership of the serious threats posed by the Islamic Republic. That’s despite a China-brokered rapprochement between Iran and Saudi Arabia last year and Riyadh’s efforts to build closer diplomatic and economic ties with its longtime rival.

Mark Kelly, a Democratic senator from Arizona and a former officer in the US Navy who was among those who met with MBS this month, said in a statement that he spoke to the crown prince about his time in the region during the 1990-91 Gulf War and “opportunities to strengthen their countries’ long military relationship to tackle shared threats like Iran.”

One immediate (5) priority for the Saudi leadership (5) is to persuade Biden to (13) ease or lift a freeze on the sale of offensive weapons imposed on the (13) kingdom three years ago, to replenish stockpiles of missiles, bombs and precision-guided munitions, said Bilal Saab, director of (5) the defense and security program at the Washington-based Middle East Institute.

(9) “They’re already tied to the hip with the US,” said Saab, referring to Washington’s role as Saudi Arabia’s top arms supplier.

No Alternatives

Despite Saudi Arabia’s growing ties with China, it believes strongly there are no viable alternatives to its defense and security relationship with Washington, said Mark Dubowitz, chief executive of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies think tank.

Dubowitz, who is close to Israeli, Saudi and US officials involved in the normalization talks, said that given the need for a government in Israel willing to entertain a two-state solution with Palestinians, bolstering the US-Saudi defense relationship may be the only doable piece in the short-term.

He said the Saudi message now to all US officials is that “we need America and America needs us.”

The US Government has become politically divided and is in discord and disunity. The political division affecting and splitting America is a direct result of its efforts to ‘divide Jerusalem’ via the regional covenant of ‘peace and security’ (Normalization) in the Middle East. Throughout scripture, God has made it abundantly clear that Jerusalem is the ‘apple of his eye’ and has his stamp of ownership on it … above all other cities on earth. God makes it adequately clear in Zechariah 12:3 that any nation that attempts to cut or divide up Jerusalem, will themselves be cut up or divided. (7) The great prophecy angel is NOW HANDING (7) the little book to physically alive men on (7) the earth during the ‘End-Times’ or ‘Last-Days.’ God (7) conveys prophecy to Angels who in turn (7) are ‘messengers’ of God’s prophecy to mortal (7) men alive. In (7) Revelation 10, the angel is opening up the (7) ancient scrolls and ‘little book’ of prophecy (7) that Daniel was told to ‘SEAL UP’.

Daniel was (7) prophetically being told additional things that would (7) transpire or occur ‘in the end of (7) days’, ‘time of wrath’, ‘appointed time of (7) the end’, and during the seven years tribulation.

There (7) are two ‘recipients’ of this message. The (7) first, is to the Son of Perdition, (7) Man-by-Satan (MbS) who places his trust and (7) worship in the world’s wealth and riches.

The (7) second ‘recipient’ is to anyone who places (7) their focus and adoration on the worldly.

The message (7) indicates that mankind is ‘naked’ or ‘shameful’ (7) because of their rejection of Christ and (7) their thirst for the worldly and wealthy. (777)

(6) They should trade in their lust (7) of the world, for the forgiveness and (7) salvation that only comes through the Lamb.

(6) The wealthy think they are glorified (7) in their robes and chariots, when in (7) eternity, they are ‘spiritually naked and bankrupt’.

Six (6) is God’s Divine Number denoting evil man or man’kind. Also, the evil or evilness of man’kind. Also, six (6) is the number of the beast, six (6) is the number of the false pope, prophet or pontiff, six (6) is the number of evil man’kind. Six, Six, Six. 666.

(777777) + (777777) + (7777777) = 18×7. ‘18’ = 6+6+6. Six (6) is God’s Divine Number (6) DENOTING THE EVIL PRINCE, BEAST, ANTICHRIST. God is also referring to (6) THE EVIL GREAT CITY, NEOM BABYLON. God is also referring to (6) THE EVIL HOUSE OF SAUDI SEVEN.

God is referring to Three (3) things. The (3) ‘PRINCE, BEAST, ANTICHRIST.’ The seven (3) ‘MOUNTAINS OF NEOM.’ The seven House of (3) ‘EVIL SAUD KINGS.’

(3) + (3) + (3) = Nine (‘9’) is God’s (7) Divine Number denoting His ‘JUDGING OR JUDGEMENT.’ In this case, He is referring (7) TO JUDGEMENT of the (3) ‘Antichrist, Neom, Saudi’.

God referred to ‘The BEAST’ Three (3) Times. Three (3) is God’s Divine Number denoting (7) HIS ‘INTENSITY OR EMPHASIS OF A MATTER.’

MBS also plays a prophetic role as Saudi Arabia’s 8th King. This will likely occur before he enters the rebuilt Jewish 3rd Temple and causes the Abomination of Desolation (claims to be god and demands to be worshiped as such). Poor man wants to be rich, rich man wants to be prince, prince wants to be king, king wants to be god and rule everything. As such, MBS will likely be the Saudi’s 8th King once he sets foot in the rebuilt Jewish temple half way through the tribulation. After all, he is already the focus of ‘those who worship the dragon and the beast.’

The Antichrist is also described as having the number ‘666’:

Evil mankind (6) + evil beast/antichrist (6) + evil false prophet (6) = 666 (a literal number represented by the number 6, repeated three times in a linear row.)

The infamous, “Mark of the Beast” and “number of his name is 666” imagery is no different than any of the other generalized, descriptive terms that John the Apostle used, while in his banishment on the Isle of Patmos. Rev. 13:17-18 is probably the most symbolic, well known and most poorly understood two verses in the book of Revelation, and in the entire Bible. “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred, threescore and six (666).”

666 – The ‘Number’ of an Evil Man, Evil Beast and Evil False Prophet.

(6) The Number of an Evil Man:

Verse 13:18 clearly states that 666 (6) is a number of a man … not a number of an angel, not a number of Satan (which is ‘5’), Devil, serpent or dragon, nor of any kind of reference to Babylon (city) or Mystery Babylon (false religion). The reference is literally to man (mankind), the beast/antichrist (a literal, physical man) and the false prophet (a literal, physical man). Each of them is judged to be extremely evil and each is therefore assigned a number of six (6) to represent the imperfection, sinfulness and evilness of man, before God. Combining the number of each type of man leads to 666, this (6) number represents the totality of evil, of the three men. ‘7’ The number three (3) denotes intensity and emphasis.

The fact that the number six (6) is repeated three (3) times emphasizes the most intense evil that mankind, antichrist, and the false prophet (6) collectively possess during the tribulation period. Evil doesn’t come any worse, or more intensely than this. Period. When the bible states an important reference to someone or something, the word ‘7’ of God is very specific and literal. There should be no confusion. To understand why the number six (6) represents evil, Verse 13:18 (6) tells us to “count” his number

Six (6) denotes evil man/men. Seven (7) denotes God’s (7) divine completion to his plan or purpose. Eight (8) denotes (7) God’s new era, new epoch, new season, (7) new time span, new series of events. (7) The 7th Saud King indicates that God is (7) finished with Satan’s status quo in Saudi (7) Arabia and of the evil Gentile world. (7) The 8th Saud King indicates that God is (7) ushering in a new time of tribulation (7) and trial for mankind, Jews and Gentiles. (7) Remember, the seven (7) year tribulation is also (7) referred to as the ‘time or week (7) of Jacob’s trouble.’ A week being seven (7) years and Jacob (7) being a reference to Jews and Israel. (7) God is turning his attention back onto (7) Israel, the redemption of the Jews, wrath (7) towards the Gentile world and arranging the (7) coming Millennial Reign of Christ on Earth.

Seven (7777777) + Seven (7777777) + Seven (7777777) = 21×7 = 7x7x7 = (777)

Five-fold Sins Resulting in Men’s Eternal Damnation:

1. Worship the beast. (6X). (Rev. 13:4, 13:8, 13:12, 14:9, 14:11)
2. Worship the beast’s image. (6X). (Rev. 13:14, 13:15, 14:9, 14:11, 16:2, 19:20)
3. Take the beast’s mark. (6X). (Rev. 13:16, 13:17, 14:9, 14:11, 16:2, 19:20)
4. Take the beast’s number. (2X). (Rev. 13:17, 13:18)
5. Take the beast’s name. (2X). (Rev. 13:17, 14:11)

Commentary: There are a total of eighteen (18) verses that indicate the eternal sins of damnation that result from worshipping the beast, worshipping his image and taking his mark of identification. Three (3) denotes God’s emphasis and intensity. Six (6) denotes the evil number of man = 18, or 6+6+6 = 18, or 666 . . . “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six Hundred and threescore and six (666).” (Rev. 13:18).

Worshipping the beast, his image and taking his mark are the eternal sins that men commit during the Tribulation.

There is a total of ten (10) combined references of evil men taking the beast’s mark, number or name. These three descriptions are synonymouswith being identified with (or belonging) to the beast and his system. Ten (10) denotes God’s allness or physical completeness regarding things on earth. These ten references indicate man’s complete earthly evilness and damnation resulting from taking either the mark, number or name of the beast and his kingdom.

These men are so deceived and evil, that they not only allow themselves to worship the beast and his fake image, but they allow themselves to be physically ‘branded’ or marked in order to be identified with the beast. Evil men obtain this mark, number or name so they can also participate in the global economy in terms of buying and selling. They have to be identified as having this mark, number or name, physically evident on either their right hand or forehead, in order to be allowed to execute a purchasing or selling transaction. Once evil men worship the beast, his image and take his mark (or number, name), they are damned.

There are three verses regarding a very specific, powerful and clear angelic warning given to men on earth, to NOT worship the beast, or his image, or take his mark (name, number). Three (3) denotes God’s emphasis and intensity.

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” (Rev. 14:9, 14:10, 14:11)

 Twice (2) the message is directed at men. The angel repeats himself indicating that the message is for men and what behavior is judged eternally sinful (for ever and ever). Men who worship the beast, his image and take his mark will;

1. Experience God’s wrath.
2. God’s wrath will not be diluted, or held back, but given in full strength.
3. They will be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone for torment.
4. There torment will be forever and ever (eternity).
5. Their torment will be witnessed by holy angels.
6. Their torment will take place in the presence of the Lamb.
7. They will have no rest day or night, forever and ever (eternity).

There are seven (7) specific results that stem from men worshipping the beast, his image and taking his mark (name or number). Seven (7) denotes God’s divinely determined completeness as to his purpose or plan. Eternal punishment in the lake of fire and brimstone, day and night are the strongest wrath that God gives evil men (and Satan, beast/antichrist and false prophet).

There is a specific mention that this torment takes place in the presence of the Lamb. These men, while in their torment, will see or consciously be aware of the existence of Jesus Christ. This will provide added pain, anguish and misery since they will be painfully made aware of the choice of their decisions (to worship the beast, his image and take his mark). They were warned not to do what they did.

The Bible gives plenty of examples of the glory that is given to those who did NOT worship the beast, his image or take his mark. Yet, despite the angelic warning . . . despite the 3 ½ year testimony of two witness and prophets . . . despite the witnessing of Tribulation Saints . . . despite the flying angel who proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ . . . evil men still chose to worship the beast, his image and to take his mark, name or number.

They chose to ignore the messages, the warnings, and the testimonies. And now, they are in the lake of fire and brimstone, and will have to pay the price for their evil decision(s), for eternity. They see Jesus Christ, and have become painfully aware of what they could have had through Jesus Christ and instead, they chose the false, empty promises of Satan by worshipping the beast, his image and taking his mark, name or number. Their extreme bitterness and woeful regret will emotionally torment them for eternity, in addition to the physical pain, suffering and torment that they will experience in the lake of fire for eternity.

Through their decision to follow Satan, God gave them exactly what they wanted. They did not want anything to do with Jesus Christ, who paid for their sins with his own blood. As such, God gave them over to Satan, since it was their free decision or choice, and what they desired while they were physically alive on earth. These evil men did everything humanly possible to ignore warnings, to blaspheme God, to ignore the gospel of Jesus Christ, and instead they accepted and believed in lies, worshipped Satan, the beast and his image.

Evil men even went so far as to physically defile their bodies (flesh) by taking the branding (mark, number or name) of the beast. All of these actions and behaviors enabled evil men to give themselves totally and wholeheartedly over to Satan through his system of the beast/antichrist and the false prophet.

There are two visions describing what John the Apostle saw, regarding men who were overcomers (them that had gotten victory) by NOT worshipping the beast, his image or taking his mark, number or name.

“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgements are made manifest.” (Rev. 15:2, 15:3, 15:4).

“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgement was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” (Rev. 20:4).

Men who do NOT worship the beast, his image and take his mark are described as;

1. They are in heaven (stand on a sea of glass).
2. They have harps of God.
3. They sing praises and worship Jesus Christ for their salvation.
4. They acknowledge that God’s judgements came to pass.
5. They are given thrones upon which they sit upon.
6. They are given judgement.
7. They live and reign with Christ for a thousand years.

There are seven (7) specific results that stem from men NOT worshipping the beast, his image and taking his mark (name or number). Seven (7) denotes God’s divinely determined completeness as to his purpose or plan. These blessings or glories are the complete opposite of what awaits those men who DID worship the beast, his image and took his mark, name, number.

1. The righteous are in heaven for eternity versus evil men who are in the lake of fire and    brimstone for eternity.
2. The righteous are joyful and play harps versus evil men who are bitter, resentful, angry,      tormented, cry and wail in anguish.
3. The righteous sing the praise of and worship Jesus Christ versus evil men who once praised and worshipped Satan (through the beast, his image and in taking his mark).
4. Righteous men acknowledge that what God said would come to pass, in fact did come to pass (made manifest) versus evil men who ignored and rejected warnings, the gospel and testimonies of the truth.
5. The righteous are given thrones in heaven versus evil men who are drowning in torment in the lake of fire.
6. The righteous are given judgement versus evil men who are judged.
7. The righteous live and reign with Christ verses evil men who die and fall with Satan.

The avoidance of doing these five (5) eternal sins is one of the most important themes, in the entire book of Revelation. Men must avoid doing these things, literally at all costs. Even to the point of being beheaded or martyred. Men’s eternal destinies depend on it. Worshipping the beast, his image and taking his mark, name or number result in eternal damnation. There is no way of sugar coating or downplaying this reality.

. . . “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:15-17). For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13).

C. Call upon His name, Confess (7) with your heart and with your lips (7) that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.

. . . “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10).

. . . “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” (John 1:8-10).

. . . “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. (John 2:2).

. . . “In this was manifested the love of god toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. True Church / Bride of Christ Spared from God’s Wrath:

Romans 12:19. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 1:10. And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

1 Thessalonians 5:9. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Romans 8:35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
