Commentary: Babylon System is the beast’s/antichrist’s kingdom of power and control on earth during the Tribulation. It is the beast’s/antichrist’s political and military systems. It is an economic and communication system. It is the name of a physical city believed to be the capital of this kingdom. Lastly, it is a false, blasphemous religious and worship system (Mystery Religion Babylon). Satan controls and manipulates all these global systems, through his beast/antichrist and the false prophet. The number of references for each of these systems CONFIRMS his influence on these systems.

Economic System (18 references). 6+6+6=18. Six is the evil number of man, the beast and the false prophet. The economic system is man’s ultimate evil because he has to completely prostitute himself (spiritually) to the beast in order to participate in this system through taking the name, mark or number of the beast. 3×6=18. Three (3) denotes God’s intensity and emphasis, Six (6) denotes the evil number of man (mankind, beast, false prophet).

Communication System (15 references). 5+5+5=15. Control and manipulation of the world’s communications systems is under the influence of Satan, via the beast. Five (5) being the number of Satan and his influence in the world. 3×5=15. Three (3) denotes God’s intensity and emphasis. Satan controls the world’s communications systems so he can worshipped worldwide indirectly and eventually directly, through the beast.

Political System (12 references). 2×6=12. Two (2) denotes God’s solid confirmation of a matter. Six (6) is the evil number of man. Twelve (12) denotes God’s divinely constituted organization either in heaven or earth. Remember, even though the beast’s political system is evil, God is in control and allows this political system to exist for a limited time. The Bible is very clear about God’s desire to influence and orchestrate the development of this political system in Revelation 17:17, “For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.”

Revelation 13, 14 and 16 indicate that an unclean spirit is spewed forth by the dragon (and beast and false prophet) to go out into the world to motivate kings and their armies to arrive at Armageddon in order to do battle on the Great Day of the Lord.

Religious System (24 references). Ultimately, it is the whore (Mystery Religion Babylon) who causes religious/spiritual fornication among everyone on earth. This is the most evil of all five (5) worldwide systems influenced by Satan. He does everything in his power to shield or hide the truth about the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. He wants to destroy all men, and send them to hell and the lake of fire. He wants to blaspheme God. He wants the world to worship only him. He wants to world think he is equal to God. All of these satanic goals are manifest in Mystery Religion Babylon. The other four world systems (economic, communication, political and military) just serve a means to an end. The end culminating in the direct (false) worship of Satan.

The religious system of Babylon receives the most references by the word of God through His Holy Spirit. 2×12=24. Two (2) signifying God’s solid confirmation of a matter and twelve (12) denoting God’s divinely constituted organization either in heaven or on earth. Another way to think of twenty-four (24) is 4×6=24. Four (4) denoting God’s foursquareness of balance and symmetry, and of intelligent design multiplied by six (6) the evil number of man (mankind, beast, false prophet). Most Americans have become comfortable using face and fingerprint biometrics as a way to unlock their mobile phones. In 2024, the number of Americans using digital IDs and biometric verification to pass more quickly through airport checkpoints will start to catch up. A growing number of the state agencies that issue identity credentials like driver’s licenses are working to make digital IDs available to residents in the form of mobile driver’s licenses (mDLs). They are also collaborating with federal officials to give Americans a faster option for security checks and flight boarding. This introduction of digital ID in a way that makes things easier for people will reframe the way numerous air travelers think about the technology, and bring a base of informed users to the popular dialogue about how people should establish ‘trust.’

Consumers and biometrics

Touch ID debuted in September, 2013, but most smartphone users were introduced to biometrics in person sometime later, less than ten years ago for most of us. In the intervening time, the use of a PIN as a way to unlock a smartphone has become old-fashioned to many. Consumers are also becoming used to using biometrics in other settings. In 2024, consumers will see a wider availability of biometric identity verification solutions offered by commercial entities to verify the identity of the individual, when transacting either in-person or online, than ever before. Commercial uses of biometric technology now span across fingerprint, iris and facial recognition modalities to ensure the individual is the same one who initially enrolled in a service such as grocery store checkout or amusement park season pass. As consumers repeat processes like taking a selfie or scanning a fingerprint to complete a purchase instead of entering a number sent in a text message, they will see the benefits of replacing other tedious, ineffective procedures. And one place where Americans are clearly looking to replace those processes is the airport environment.

Biometrics and digital IDs

Biometrics have long been a consideration in the standards for passports, and are widely used to connect individuals to their digital ID around the world. It is little surprise, therefore, that as states issue mDLs to provide digital ID to their residents, they are similarly implementing them with biometrics standards in mind. The mDL allows for the verification of a person’s identity to a trusted government issued source along with the additional option of extending the verification to make use of biometric facial 1:1 match with a selfie. The greatest success of biometric technology for everyday applications is in its ability to accurately confirm who an individual is in a 1:1 or 1:few matching situation. These are the kinds of comparisons used in airport applications like security checks and flight boarding.  Completing these checks without handing over a passport will demonstrate the value of biometrics-backed digital IDs in the form of increased speed and convenience. Further, by providing users the choice to use their biometric features for a specific identity verification process and transparency into its ethical use by the operator, we should see less alarmism over the use of biometric technology.

Digital IDs and airports

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has been a pioneer in acceptance of mobile digital identities helping to make the travel experience quicker. Dedicated TSA lanes now exist at several airports for encouraging passengers to use their mobile digital credential. TSA began accepting mDLs on a trial basis in early-2022. The pilots are expected to reach dozens of airports this year, as two more states join the seven already issuing digital IDs accepted by the agency.

The first assessments of how successful the pilots have been may also come out in the year ahead, potentially creating a tail-wind of positive attention and consumer interest.

Next steps for US digital IDs

Then there are trials for other applications, like retail purchases and age verification for alcohol or tobacco purchases, as in Charleston, Soth Carolina and Nevada, respectively. In the latter case, the privacy of the individual is protected by the ability of the digital ID to provide a “yes/no” answer to an inquiry if the person is old enough to make the purchase, while the retailer gets assurance that the ID is not fake. The next step is production roll-outs where trials have happened, and more trials in other locations and by other retailers. With these pilots, digital ID adoption and use will grow rapidly this year, starting with air travelers. The most consequential outcome of this change in public experience may eventually be real progress towards the creation of strong legislative guard rails for biometrics use.

Commentary; the rider is the ‘beast’ or ‘antichrist’. His being clothed in white suggests ‘3’ false righteousness, false peace and false authority. He has a bow, but no arrows. He conquers and subjugates, not with force but with ‘5’ lies, deception, false covenants and false agreements and false promises. He is the world’s greatest ‘political’ leader and deceiver. He is the one who ‘confirms the false covenant of seven years with Jacob’ which starts the tribulation. You should know now of who I speak. His ‘crown’ represents authority, rulership and position. It even literally represents his ‘position’ as Crown Prince, once the tribulation begins. My discernment is that the ‘white horse upon which he sits’ is symbolically a white Arabian stallion.

The infamous, “Mark of the Beast” and “number of his name is 666” imagery is no different than any of the other generalized, descriptive terms that John the Apostle used, while in his banishment on the Isle of Patmos. Rev. 13:17-18 is probably the most symbolic, well known and most poorly understood two verses in the book of Revelation, and in the entire Bible. “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred, threescore and six (666).” (Emphasis added).

(6) The Number of an Evil Man:

Verse 13:18 clearly states that 666 (6) is a number of a man … not a number of an angel, not a number of Satan (which is ‘5’), Devil, serpent or dragon, nor of any kind of reference to Babylon (city) or Mystery Babylon (false religion). The reference is literally to man (mankind), the beast/antichrist (a literal, physical man) and the false prophet (a literal, physical man). Each of them is judged to be extremely evil and each is therefore assigned a number of six (6) to represent the imperfection, sinfulness and evilness of man, before God. Combining the number of each type of man leads to 666, this (6) number represents the totality of evil, of the three men. ‘7’ The number three (3) denotes intensity and emphasis. The fact that the number six (6) is repeated three (3) times emphasizes the most intense evil that mankind, antichrist, and the false prophet (6) collectively possess during the tribulation period. Evil doesn’t come any worse, or more intensely than this. Period. When the bible states an important reference to someone or something, the word ‘7’ of God is very specific and literal.
