The US Government has become politically divided and is in discord and disunity. The political division affecting and splitting America is a direct result of its efforts to ‘divide Jerusalem’ via the ‘Deal of the Century’ or the regional covenant of peace and security in the Middle East. Throughout scripture, God has made it abundantly clear that Jerusalem is the ‘apple of his eye’ and has his stamp of ownership on it … above all other cities on earth. God makes it adequately clear in Zechariah 12:3 that any nation that attempts to cut or divide up Jerusalem, will themselves be cut up or divided. As such, the US is cut or divided politically because of its leadership role in attempting to split God’s Holy City of earthly Jerusalem. Plain and simple.

OK. So it’s clear about the accelerating implosion of political unity in the US. Political discord will get worse and become angrier, antagonistic, confrontational, and hateful with little to no compromise, concession, agreement or unity. Contempt and distrust rules the day. Some would say this is already the case not only between Democrats and Republicans, but also within each party. Whether you believe the US being extremely divided is a result of God’s wrath for its role in dividing Jerusalem or not, it doesn’t matter. The fact remains that the US is becoming bitterly more and more divided. This division has also taken place in culture (LGBTQP+ social inclusiveness agenda), economics (income inequality), etc. The list can go on. America is divided on so many levels, not just politically.

I think we could make a very good case for finding Russia in Bible prophecy. I think we could make a pretty good case for finding China in Bible prophecy. And we certainly could make an airtight case for finding Iran in Bible prophecy—and Israel as well. But we cannot find the United States of America.
How is it that the reigning superpower on the planet today doesn’t seem to be mentioned?
No one knows the answer, but let’s consider an option. What if the Rapture were to take America out of its lead role?
There are approximately 328.2 million people in the United States. For the sake of illustration, I’ll round that number to 300 million. I don’t know how many are followers of Christ, but I read recently that 65 percent of Americans identify as Christians.
To be very conservative, let’s say that 10 percent of the people in the United States of America are Christians. Now, imagine for a moment what would happen if 30 million people (or more) suddenly were to leave Planet Earth in the Rapture—people who work in industries, government, the military, and every area imaginable.
Do you think that would affect our nation?
Of course it would. Effectively, America would collapse overnight.
I don’t know the reason our nation isn’t mentioned in Bible prophecy, but I do know this: Jesus Christ is returning. The Bible says, “This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed” (Romans 13:11 NLT).
If you’re a believer who’s living a compromised life, you need to repent and get right with God. And if you don’t have a relationship with Jesus Christ, then you’ve got to wake up and get right with God. Wake up. Jesus is coming. Are you ready?

In The Complete Story of Civilization Historian Will Durant said of Rome, “A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself within. The essential causes of Rome’s decline lay in her people, her morals, her class struggle, her failing trade, her bureaucratic despotism, her stifling taxes, her consuming wars.” The difference between Rome and the United States is that we initially built this nation on a Judeo-Christian foundation. But we have strayed dramatically from the original vision of our Founding Fathers that produced this place we call the United States of America. I think we would do well to look at the soul of our nation right now. What once was freedom of religion seems to have become freedom from religion. Our society has succeeded in getting God out of our schools, out of our sporting events, out of our public places, and out of our workplaces. But here’s what we need to remember. The freedom we enjoy today is built on the foundation of absolute truth. And when you remove that foundation, this freedom actually can turn into anarchy. People in our nation are saying they don’t like the idea of things that are right and things that are wrong. They don’t want to live by those standards anymore. Instead, they want to live according to moral relativism so they can choose their own truths. The United States of America, like every other nation on earth, has its days numbered. We need divine intervention. We need God’s help. My belief about the future of our nation is that we have two choices before us: one is judgment and the other is revival. If we do not have revival, then I think judgment is inevitable. |

Historian Victor Davis Hanson sat down with Tucker Carlson to discuss his perspective on the current political climate in the US, asserting that American liberalism is characterized by dishonesty, and warning about what he sees as liberal efforts to introduce a highly intolerant age.
“It’s hard for most Americans to comprehend the total dishonesty of American liberalism.”
VDH says Trump represents a significant threat to the specific vision held by liberals, who are employing a “critical legal theory,” in which traditional moral values are abandoned in favor of whatever gains power.
“Liberals are now telling us they plan to protect American democracy and that’s the clearest possible sign that they intend to end it.”
Most specifically, Hanson told Carlson that:
“I think they’ve come to the conclusion that Trump is an existential threat and by association, half the country is to their vision of what they want to transform us into, and so they feel that whatever means necessary are justified.”
And this is an issue since Hanson pointed out that while some conservatives were speaking up, they are also fighting a culture in the Republican Party that preferred to “lose nobly” as opposed to winning elections in an “ugly” manner.
Hanson emphasizes that the traditional boundaries and norms are being renegotiated, from the Senate filibuster and the Electoral College to societal understandings of gender and language, raising concerns that:
“We’re in the middle of a cultural, economic, political revolution,” but “we think that we’re still playing within the same sidelines or parameters, and we’re not. Everything’s under negotiation.”
Hanson argues that the legal actions against Trump are politically motivated and biased and designed to send a message to the half of America that will not simple ‘comply’:
“The idea is now that we now have the power to do this, and because we have the power to do it, it’s moral and right, and if you don’t like it, what are you doing to do about it?”
Finally, Hanson issues a call to action of sorts, noting that “There are legitimate efforts to rectify and stop this madness and let’s see what happens in 2024.”
“You need leaders who will tell people we are in a Jacobin takeover of this country, and the old get along at any cost does not work,” Hanson said.
“I hope everybody can keep their head because I think the next 12 to 18 months are going to be the most explosive in our history since the Great Depression.”

Dangerous conspiracy’ to end democracy in 2025 taking root among right-wing billionaires: analysis

Right-wing billionaires are investing in a conspiracy cooked up by obscure professors at conservative colleges to end American democracy and install an authoritarian dictator.
Conservatives are pining for a “Red Caesar” to suspend democracy in 2025 and wrest power back from the “cosmopolitan class” of unelected elites they believe are ruling America, and they see congressional dysfunction as a symptom of the institutional rot they believe a dictator could cure, wrote Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Will Bunch.
“America should be having a robust, life-or-death conversation — when TV’s cable talkfest signs on at 6 a.m. until the last words at midnight, on the floors of the House and Senate, in newspaper editorial boards and down at the barber shop and in Starbucks — about whether we really want to end this country’s 247-year uneven experiment in democracy, and whether one man should have the power to override elections, jail his enemies, free his friends, and eviscerate federal agencies,” Bunch wrote.
Kevin Slack, a politics professor at the ultraconservative Hillsdale College, and the Claremont Institute’s Claremont’s Michael Anton are the brains behind this push to install a dictator – specifically, Donald Trump – to replace the Constitution with a form of governance that would blend “monarchy and tyranny,” and Steve Bannon has been systematically removing obstacles to that goal from government.
“Intellectuals play a certain kind of role, especially on the right, in legitimating actions of elites in the party and [the] movement,” said Damon Linker, a senior writing fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. “They’re giving people permission to do terrible things.”
Linker warned that a “dangerous conspiracy theory” originating with obscure professors is taking root with right-wing billionaires who fund conservative causes and candidates, and Trump has openly campaigned on prosecuting his enemies, filling the government with loyalists, deporting immigrants and deploying the military against Democratic-led cities.
“But in thinking about a ‘Red Caesar,’ it’s helpful to remember what the actual Caesar said right before crossing the Rubicon: Alea iacta est, meaning, ‘The die is cast,'” Bunch concluded. “But in the United States in 2023, the die is not cast, not yet. The majority of Americans do not want to live under a dictatorship, and we have the power to stop this. But America is never going to prevent the ‘Red Caesar’ unless we start talking about it, loudly and right away.”

In the past, the Claremont Institute — founded in 1979 by Barry Goldwater ally Harry V. Jaffa — was known for being a conventional conservative think tank. But in recent years, Claremont has taken a far-right hyper-MAGA turn.
Some members have promoted the idea that the United States, in order to survive, needs to leave democracy behind — and that traditional Reagan or Goldwater conservatism no longer works.
In an article published by The Guardian on October 2, journalist Jason Wilson describes the “Red Caesar” ideology that some Claremont members and MAGA Republicans are now promoting.
“For the last three years,” Wilson explains, “parts of the American right have advocated a theory called Caesarism as an authoritarian solution to the claimed collapse of the U.S. republic in conference rooms, podcasts and the house organs of the extreme right — especially those associated with the Claremont Institute think tank…. Their calls for a ‘Red Caesar’ are now only growing louder as Donald Trump, whose supporters attempted to violently halt the election of Joe Biden in 2020, has assumed dominant frontrunner status in the 2024 Republican nomination race.”
Wilson adds, “Trump, who also faces multiple criminal indictments, has spoken openly of attacking the free press in the U.S. and having little regard for American constitutional norms should he win the White House again. The idea that the U.S. might be redeemed by a Caesar — an authoritarian, right-wing leader — was first broached explicitly by Michael Anton, a Claremont senior fellow and Trump presidential adviser.”
Anton, according to Wilson, has defined Caesarism as a “form of one-man rule: halfway.… between monarchy and tyranny.”
Damon Linker, who teaches at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, discussed “Caesarism” with The Guardian and warned that Anton and others associated with Claremont “have convinced themselves thoroughly that the current order is decadent, corrupt and far removed from the proper, admirable origins of American government.”
Linker told The Guardian, “The fact that Trump lost in 2020 has just radicalized a lot of these people. It occurred to them that they might not win a proper election again. That would mean that — excuse the language — they’re s*** out of luck unless there’s some other path to power. That’s where Caesarism comes in.”
According to Linker, the possibility of a dictatorship in the U.S. under a “Red Caesar” should not be taken lightly.
Linker told The Guardian, “Thirty years ago, if I told you that a bunch of billionaires and intellectuals on the right are waiting in the wings to impose a dictatorship on the United States, you would have said that I was insane. But it’s no longer insane. It’s now real. There are those people out there. The question is: Will they get their chance.”

With Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-California) having been ousted as House speaker, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Rep. Steve Scalise (R-Louisiana) are competing for the position. Former President Donald Trump is endorsing far-right Jordan, and former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Illinois) — a scathing Trump critic who served on the January 6 Select Committee — predicted on CNN that supporting Jordan for speaker will become the “new litmus test” for House Republicans.
The motion to oust McCarthy was initiated by the ultra-MAGA Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Florida), whose critics are slamming him as a provocateur who thrives on chaos.
In an article published by Politico on October 6, scholars and political science experts weigh in on the broader implications of McCarthy being ousted — and what they mean for the GOP and U.S. democracy in general.
The University of Denver’s Seth Masket told Politico, “For Gaetz and others in the populist wing, there had to be payback against McCarthy…. not for any specific policy, of course, but rather, for working with Democrats to keep the federal government from shutting down. Gaetz had to make it clear that, even if it was impossible for McCarthy to do his job by working within his party, he wasn’t allowed to work outside it. And now, he doesn’t have that job anymore.”
Yale University’s Joanne Freeman views McCarthy’s fate as a symptom of “extremism” and “dysfunction” within the GOP.
Freeman said of Republicans, “Norms and rules be damned, they feel entitled to maintaining power. This isn’t democracy. It’s the heartbeat of authoritarianism.”
The American Enterprise Institute’s Norman Ornstein describes the ousting of McCarthy as symptomatic of the “nihilistic, radical politics” that have made the GOP a “radical cult.”
The Niskanen Center’s Geoffrey Kabaservice believes McCarthy was imperiled by the very extremism he encouraged and described the GOP as “a party that prefers temper tantrums to governing, fantasies about stolen elections to the hard work of appealing to swing voters.”
Kabaservice told Politico, “It would rather destroy the federal bureaucracy than use it to implement conservative policies. Increasingly, it poses a threat to national stability and world order. Kevin McCarthy did little to resist the feral direction of his party and much to indulge it.”

1 Thessalonians 5:9. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
