HUMANISM TO THE RESCUE! PARLIAMENT OF THE WORLD’S RELIGIONS HOPES TO HARNESS FAITH TO ADDRESS WORLD’S ILLS

Speakers at the Parliament’s opening sessions spoke openly about the ways religion can be viewed with suspicion or used to harm others. That makes the Parliament’s work all the more important, said the Rev. Paul Raushenbush, president of the Interfaith Alliance.

Raushenbush, who will give a plenary address on Tuesday, told RNS the Parliament’s focus on both religious freedom and human rights is essential, especially at a time when authoritarian forms of organized religion are on the rise.

“The reason the interfaith movement was born was because people decided they were not going to kill each other because they believe different things,” he said. “And we still have people killing each other for believing different things.”

In his address later this week, Raushenbush said, he plans to challenge attendees to put their beliefs and their cooperation into action to counter (5) authoritarian political and religious groups.

“We are really focusing (7) on the rise of authoritarianism and the (7) rise of the threat of a certain (7) elevation of one religious tradition over others,” he said. “And this is (7) happening around the world working in concert (7) with political and other kinds of power.” (77777)

ISLAM; Those who WORSHIP (5) THE DRAGON AND THE BEAST.

Revelation 13 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Note; The Beast was referenced SIX (6) times. The number of the Beast is 666.

CHICAGO (RNS) — Thousands of religious leaders — from Buddhists to Zoroastrians — gathered at Chicago’s cavernous McCormick Place conference center on Monday (Aug. 14) for the opening day of the Parliament of the World’s Religions, a historic and influential gathering.

Leaders from a wide range of faiths urged attendees to appreciate both the uniqueness of their own spiritual traditions as well as the traditions of their neighbors — and to work together to address the world’s biggest problems.

The Rev. Vance Henry, the chief of faith engagement for Chicago’s mayor, told attendees that the (7) world remains filled with darkness and division. But that darkness, he said, can be overcome if people of faith work together.

John 8:12 Then spake (7) Jesus again unto them, saying, I am (7) the light of the world: he that (7) followeth me shall not walk in darkness, (7) but shall have the light of life. (7777)

He drew on a story from his childhood and from a parable of Jesus to make his point — saying it is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.

“If we decided to put our lights together — we can force the darkness away,” he said

The Rev. Asayo Horibe, president of the Buddhist Council of the Midwest, described the Parliament as both a spiritual event and a gathering of friends. Horibe, who greeted attendees in English, Spanish and Hawaiian, said she first attended a Parliament gathering in 1993, the last time it was held in Chicago. The Parliament traces its history to an event in 1893, also in Chicago, which is credited with inspiring the interfaith movement in the United States.

“I am so grateful for the friendships that have come my way since the beginning of this journey,” Horibe said.

She urged attendees (5) to learn from each other — and (5) to share what they learn.

“Talk to everyone,” she said. “Greet everyone. And go (5) home with the treasures you (5) have received at this gathering.”

Eboo Patel, founder of Chicago-based Interfaith America, told Religion News Service (5) that much of the nation’s (5) interfaith movement, including the organization (5) he leads, was inspired by (5) the work of the Parliament. (5555)

(5) “This week it gives a (5) profound gift to the world: demonstration that faith (5) is a source of inspiration, not (5) domination; a bridge of cooperation, (5) not a barrier of division,” he said. (55555) 5×5

As of (5) Monday afternoon, more than 6,000 (6) attendees (5) from 95 countries, representing 212 spiritual traditions, (5) had registered for the Parliament, with more attending online. (555)

Along (5) with plenary sessions about climate (5) change and defending human rights, the Parliament’s meeting offers (5) hundreds of workshops and panels(5) as well as networking opportunities. (5555)

In her remarks during the Parliament’s opening session, Barbara Abrajano, president of the Council of Religious Leaders of Metropolitan Chicago, reminded attendees of (5) the power of interfaith cooperation.

“No single (5) community of faith working alone (5) can resolve the challenges that (5) all of us face together,” she told attendees. (5) “But if we stand together (5) for all we believe, then (5) our diversity is our greatest (5) strength. We show people that (5) there is another, better way.” (55555555)

Rashad Hussain, the U.S. ambassador-at-large for religious freedom, echoed (5) the idea that religious diversity (5) is a source of strength.

“We don’t seek uniformity,” he told attendees. “But we must (5) have a unity in purpose.

Hussain, who is Muslim, also stressed the importance of protecting religious freedom for all. During his comments, he pointed out that he succeeded former Ambassador Sam Brownback, who is Christian, and Rabbi David Saperstein, who is Jewish.

In an interview after the opening session, Hussain said he continues (5) to work with his predecessors (5) on matters of religious freedom, which remains a bipartisan issue. Their collaboration and their (5) differing faith backgrounds serve as (5) an example of interfaith cooperation. (5555)

“It sends a powerful signal to the world that we will stand up for the rights of all people,” Hussain said.

He also said the (5) Parliament can be an example (5) of the way religious communities (5) can help address global challenges. (555)

“Religions can be such (5) a powerful force for good (5) all around the world in (5) bringing us together and addressing some of the challenges thatwe face,” he said. “And it should always be a force for good. It should never be used to harm people or oppress people. (555)

Speakers at the Parliament’s opening sessions spoke openly about the ways religion can be viewed with suspicion or used to harm others. That makes the Parliament’s (5) work all the more important, said the Rev. Paul Raushenbush, (5) president of the Interfaith Alliance.

Questions about the role (5) of religions in the world drew a small group of students and staff from Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the Parliament.

“We’re here to really ask some serious (5) questions about working together to (5) build a thriving world community,” said Queens University chaplain Adrian Bird.

Katie Pittman, a senior religion major at Queens, said the Parliament (5) was a chance for her (5) to experience a wide range (5) of religious diversity in person.

(5) “I’m really here to just (5) soak everything up and learn.”

Seven-fold Evils of the False Prophet:

. . . “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.” (Rev. 13:11-13).

. . . “And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” (Rev. 13:14-15).

. . . . “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom, Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of man; and his number is Six hundred three-score and six.” (Rev. 13:16-18).

Paul Rolland| Night Watchman Ministries |The False Prophet Endorses the World’s Worship of the Beast and His Image

  1. Exercises all the demonic power of the antichrist. (Rev. 13:12)
  2. Causes people on the earth to worship the beast/antichrist. (Rev. 13:12)
  3. Deceives those on earth by false miracles or wonders, but is only able to do these when the antichrist is present. (Rev. 13:13-14)
  4. Requires people on earth to build an image of the beast/antichrist. (Rev. 13:14)
  5. Gives false life to the man-made image enabling it to speak. (Rev. 13:15)
  6. Forces all people to receive the antichrist’s mark of ownership in their forehead or right hand, forces buying and selling to be contingent upon having this mark. Causes the martyrdom of those not willing to worship the beast or his image. (Rev. 13:15-17)
  7. Causes people on earth to worship the beast’s image. (Rev. 13:15)

Commentary: The False Prophet is the Antichrist’s ‘right hand’ man, propaganda minister, and #1 religious cheerleader, in an all-in-one package. A ‘yes’ man of the most-evil sort. Adolf Hitler had very similar people operating in this capacity during his evil attempt to enslave the world. The false prophet will be demonically or satanically inspired to perform the deceit and false miracles that lead the weak-minded and spiritually dead to falsely worship the beast/antichrist. Interestingly, the False Prophet can only conduct these false miracles when he is in sight/proximity to the beast. This indicates that Satan’s power is not omnipresent, but can only be conveyed to a willing participant within close proximity to Satan. Whereas God’s power is unlimited by time and space, Satan’s power is not and is strictly limited. Just as Hitler forced the Jews to take a tattoo or mark of the Star of David, for identification, so too will the beast/antichrist force citizens to take his mark for identification. Additionally, Hitler forced Jews to have a number tattooed on them in concentration camps, for more detailed recognition and identification. Scripture continues to tell us that the antichrist/beast will also force the number of his name to be forced onto people. Impossible you say? See my detailed analysis of the sevenfold markings by the beast/antichrist. The false prophet is also the ringleader to get men to make a false image(s) of the beast and to have men worship it. Impossible you think? Read my detailed analysis on the sevenfold image of the beast. The false prophet is the enabler of spiritual fornication on a global, worldwide scale all with the endorsement, approval, sanctioning and blessing from the Beast. Satan gives the false prophet just enough power, through the beast/antichrist, to ensure this satanic abomination is accomplished.

Paul Rolland | Night Watchman Ministries | Pope Francis and Mystery Babylon – Both the Religion and City of the Beast

7’ Paul Rolland, Night Watchman, Night Watchman Ministries:

Evil mankind (6) + evil beast/antichrist (6) + evil false prophet (6) = 666 (a literal number represented by the number 6, repeated three times in a linear row.)

666

The infamous, “Mark of the Beast” and “number of his name is 666” imagery is no different than any of the other generalized, descriptive terms that John the Apostle used, while in his banishment on the Isle of Patmos. Rev. 13:17-18 is probably the most symbolic, well known and most poorly understood two verses in the book of Revelation, and in the entire Bible. “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred, threescore and six (666).” (Emphasis added).

(6) The Number of an Evil Man:

Verse 13:18 clearly states that 666 (6) is a number of a man … not a number of an angel, not a number of Satan (which is ‘5’), Devil, serpent or dragon, nor of any kind of reference to Babylon (city) or Mystery Babylon (false religion). The reference is literally to man (mankind), the beast/antichrist (a literal, physical man) and the false prophet (a literal, physical man). Each of them is judged to be extremely evil and each is therefore assigned a number of six (6) to represent the imperfection, sinfulness and evilness of man, before God. Combining the number of each type of man leads to 666, this (6) number represents the totality of evil, of the three men. ‘7’ The number three (3) denotes intensity and emphasis. The fact that the number six (6) is repeated three (3) times emphasizes the most intense evil that mankind, antichrist, and the false prophet (6) collectively possess during the tribulation period. Evil doesn’t come any worse, or more intensely than this. Period. When the bible states an important reference to someone or something, the word ‘7’ of God is very specific and literal. There should be no confusion. To understand why the number six (6) represents evil, Verse 13:18 (6) tells us to “count” his number

But how can they call on him (Jesus Christ) to save them unless they believe in him (Jesus Christ)? And how can they believe in him (Jesus Christ) if they have never heard about him (Jesus Christ)? And how can they hear about him (Jesus Christ) unless someone tells them?” Romans 10:14

Make Your Decision for Christ NOW!!!!!!! Time is Up!!!!!!!

Jesus Christ’s Offer of Salvation:

The ABCs of Salvation through Jesus Christ (the Lamb)

A. Admit/Acknowledge/Accept that you are sinner. Ask God’s forgiveness and repent of your sins.

. . . “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23).

. . . “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10).

. . . “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8).

B. Believe Jesus is Lord. Believe that Jesus Christ is who He claimed to be; that He was both fully God and fully man and that we are saved through His death, burial, and resurrection. Put your trust in Him as your only hope of salvation. Become a son or daughter of God by receiving Christ.

. . . “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:15-17). For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13).

C. Call upon His name, Confess with your heart and with your lips that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.

. . . “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10).

. . . “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” (John 1:8-10).

. . . “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. (John 2:2).

. . . “In this was manifested the love of god toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.” (1 John 4:9, 14-15).

. . . “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” (Romans 5:8-10).

. . . “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23).

. . . “Jesus saith unto them, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6).

. . . “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.” (Romans 1:16).

. . . “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts: 4:12).

. . . “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth for there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:4-6).

. . . “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5:9).

. . . “But as many as received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” (John 1:12).

True Church / Bride of Christ Spared from God’s Wrath:

Romans 5:8-10. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”

Romans 12:19. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 1:10. And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

1 Thessalonians 5:9. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Romans 8:35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Jeremiah 30:7. Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
