I don’t believe America is mentioned in Bible prophecy—certainly not directly.

A lot of people think America is mentioned indirectly. For example, they will look at passages like Isaiah 18, pointing to the unnamed nation in the chapter. They may suggest that America is the ten lost tribes of Israel, the young lions of Tarshish in Ezekiel 38, or Babylon from Revelation 17-18.

However, I don’t think any of those places are America in prophecy. It is Scripture’s silence about America which I find significant. If, in the future, we stay the great superpower we are today, then I (7) think the Bible certainly would mention us. For example, the Bible mentions nations like Rosh (Russia), Persia (Iran), Sheba / Dedan (Saudi Arabia) and the kings of the (7) East (which likely include India and China).

Something has to happen to America (7) to reduce us from our superpower status, (7) and I think that event is going (7) to be the rapture of the church. All (7) of the salt and light will be (7) extracted out in a moment, in the (7) twinkling of an eye, and when that (7) takes place, America will be reduced to (7) being a second or third-rate nation overnight. 

When we think about God’s judgment on America in the future, we need to consider how we live today in a (7) culture that is collapsing all around us.

In one of his books, Erwin Lutzer writes that there are three things we can do in America: we can be complicit, we can be complacent, or we can be courageous. (5) To be complicit means giving (5) up and giving into the (5) culture, becoming part of it. (7) Being courageous means giving everything to the (7) Lord, serving Him, and standing for Him (7) in these times in which we live. (777)

Lutzer further wrote, “The (7) day of the casual Christian is over? No longer is it (7) possible to drift along, hoping that no (7) tough choices will have to be made. At this point in American history, (7) any moral and spiritual progress will have (7) to be one at a great cost. The darker the (7) night, the more important every candle becomes.”

We don’t want to be people (7) that just curse the darkness around us. We want (7) to shine as lights. Jesus said that (7) we “are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14-16), and we certainly (7) want to do that in our culture.

There’s a quote I read years (7) ago which says, “The world at its (7) worst needs the church at its best.” Our world today (7) is at its worst, and the church (7) today needs to be at our best. We (7) need to be seizing the opportunities that (7) God has given to us and living (7) lives that are pleasing in God’s sight. (7777777) 7×7

Four Keys To National Blessing

There are four things I see in the Bible for God to bless America or any other nation. We need to think about these and apply these to our own lives and in our churches in these times.

1) Support The Nation Of Israel

All the way back in Genesis 12:3, God gave the only foreign policy statement in all of the Bible when he said to Abraham, “I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee.”

Very emphatically, God is saying that (7) support for the Jewish people brings blessing, (7) and cursing the Jewish people brings cursing. We’ve seen this play out throughout history, and it (7) continues to be God’s foreign policy today. (777)

One of the things we need to do in America is support the nation of Israel. The problem (5) is support for Israel in (5) our nation today is eroding. (5) More Democrats in America today (5) favor the Palestinians over Israel for the (7) first time in any American political party. Additionally, most young Americans (56%) between 18 to 29 view Israel unfavorably.

In another stunning statistic, the majority of Americans aren’t sure whether President Biden favors the Palestinians or Israel. Now I have an inkling of which he favors, but it’s not good for our country to be unsure. We ought to know that our president favors the nation of Israel.

It doesn’t mean that we agree with everything the Jewish government does, but we want (7) to be supporters of Israel, and when (7) we do, God will bless our nation.

In spite of all the problems we’ve had in America through the years, one of the (7) reasons God has had His hand of (7) blessing upon us is because our nation (7) has been the chief supporter of Israel. (777)

2) Pray for our country

In 1 Timothy 2:2, we are (7) told to pray for those in authority (7) over us, which are our national leaders. That’s one (7) of the ways that God blesses us. (777)

One of the things people often talk about is praying 2 Chronicles 7:14, which states, “If my people, (7) which are called by my name, shall (7) humble themselves, and pray, and seek my (7) face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will (7) I hear from heaven, and will forgive (7) their sin, and will heal their land.” But notice it goes on to say, “Now mine eyes shall (7) be open, and mine ears attent unto (7) the prayer that is made in this (7) place. For now have I chosen and (7) sanctified this house, that my name may (7) be there for ever: and mine eyes (7) and mine heart shall be there perpetually.”

This passage in 2 Chronicles 7 is when Solomon is dedicating the temple. God is telling Solomon that someday when the people disobey, and He brings discipline on them (Deuteronomy 28), if they pray (7) to Him from this place, the temple, then (7) He will come and heal their land. We need to remember that passage (7) is a specific promise to the nation (7) of Israel, their land, and their temple.

While we can make an application of that today, it’s not a promise to America. Certainly, it’s always good to humble ourselves, to pray, and to seek God. We can apply it to ourselves, but we need to understand that’s not a direct promise to America today. 

3) Promote missions and the Gospel

Romans 10:15 (7) says, “How beautiful are the feet of (7) them that preach the gospel of peace, (7) and bring glad tidings of good things!” (777)

Now we don’t often think of our feet being the most beautiful part of us, but feet that spread (7) the good news are beautiful to God. He blesses a nation and (7) a people who spread the good news.

America has been (7) the greatest missionary nation of all time. We (7) need to continue to spread the Gospel, (7) and God will continue to bless us. (777)

4) Practice godliness in our lives

Proverbs 14:34 says, “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” One of the ways to have blessing upon our country is to be a righteous nation. 

We know (5) about all the sin and (5) moral pollution in our culture, and we may not be able to do anything about that, but we can control our own lives. Many today are decrying all (5) the sin in our culture while living (5) lives themselves that are sub-Christian, not (5) behaving in the righteous standards that God has for us.

Remember, in the book of Isaiah 5-6, he says “woe” to the (6) people six (6) times for their sins, but finally, in chapter six (6), he says, (5) “Woe is me! for I(5)  am undone; because I am (5) a man of unclean lips, and I (5) dwell in the midst of (5) a people of unclean lips…“ (55555) 5×5

We (7) need to live godly lives and not (7) contribute to (5) the corruption in our culture.

1 John 3 says, “Every (7) man that hath this hope in him (7) purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” If we believe that (7) Jesus can come back at any moment, that should (7) be a purifying hope in our lives.

Bring In The Candles

Back on May 19th, 1780, there was a remarkable day in the northeast of America. There was a great darkness that came over the land. It was very ominous, and people thought it was the end of the world.

In Hartford, Connecticut, the legislature was meeting. Many concluded that this was the end, so the House of Representatives adjourned, stopping the meeting, thinking it was all over. 

However, in the Senate, when someone brought up a motion to adjourn, Colonel Abraham Davenport, who was the leader of the Senate at that time, said this: “I am against adjournment. The day of judgment is either approaching, or it is not. If it is not, there is no cause for an adjournment; if it is, I choose to be found doing my duty. I wish therefore that candles may be brought.”

I love that story because there is (7) a descending darkness in our country today. (5) But as the darkness descends, let’s not just curse the darkness; let’s bring in (7) the candles and keep working so we (7) can be found faithful when Jesus comes. (777)

Let’s be found (7) doing our duty and living in the (7) light. Keep looking, loving, and laboring as (7) we await the coming of Jesus Christ. (777)

(7) America is NOT mentioned in the Bible. Why? Discernment.

The US Government has become politically divided and is in discord and disunity. The political division affecting and splitting America is a direct result of its efforts to ‘divide Jerusalem’ via the ‘Deal of the Century’ or the regional covenant of peace and security in the Middle East. Throughout scripture, God has made it abundantly clear that Jerusalem is the ‘apple of his eye’ and has his stamp of ownership on it … above all other cities on earth. God makes it adequately clear in Zechariah 12:3 that any nation that attempts to cut or divide up Jerusalem, will themselves be cut up or divided. As such, the US is cut or divided politically because of its leadership role in attempting to split God’s Holy City of earthly Jerusalem. Plain and simple.

OK. So it’s clear about the accelerating implosion of political unity in the US. Political discord will get worse and become angrier, antagonistic, confrontational, and hateful with little to no compromise, concession, agreement or unity. Contempt and distrust rules the day. Some would say this is already the case not only between Democrats and Republicans, but also within each party. Whether you believe the US being extremely divided is a result of God’s wrath for its role in dividing Jerusalem or not, it doesn’t matter. The fact remains that the US is becoming bitterly more and more divided. This division has also taken place in culture (LGBTQP+ social inclusiveness agenda), economics (income inequality), etc. The list can go on. America is divided on so many levels, not just politically.

Why is there no mention of the ‘United’ States in Bible Prophecy?

Prophetic Discernment: Seven (7) year ‘book-end’ solar eclipses, August 2017 to April 2024. God’s divine completion to His plan or purpose for the once powerful and great ‘United’ States. Seven (7) spirits affected; Financially, Politically, Militarily, Geographically, Geo-Politically, Spiritually and Socially. No further need of the United States to be Israel’s ‘Big Brother’ watching over her and protecting her and giving her financial aid. By the start of 2024, the once ‘United’ States will have descended into anarchy, chaos, rebellion, the bottomless pit, despair, insolvency and strife. For 70 (7) years, the United States was Israel’s ‘worldly’ protector and benefactor (1948-2018). The American ‘millennium or empire’ lasted from 1620 to 2020. 400 years. America has been wandering ‘in the desert’ for 400 years and time has expired. 40(0) is a time or period of ‘trial or testing.’

“This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed” (Romans 13:11 NLT).

I think we could make a very good case for finding Russia in Bible prophecy. I think we could make a pretty good case for finding China in Bible prophecy. And we certainly could make an airtight case for finding Iran in Bible prophecy—and Israel as well. But we cannot find the United States of America.

How is it that the reigning superpower on the planet today doesn’t seem to be mentioned?

No one knows the answer, but let’s consider an option. What if the Rapture were to take America out of its lead role?

There are approximately 328.2 million people in the United States. For the sake of illustration, I’ll round that number to 300 million. I don’t know how many are followers of Christ, but I read recently that 65 percent of Americans identify as Christians.

To be very conservative, let’s say that 10 percent of the people in the United States of America are Christians. Now, imagine for a moment what would happen if 30 million people (or more) suddenly were to leave Planet Earth in the Rapture—people who work in industries, government, the military, and every area imaginable.

Do you think that would affect our nation?

Of course it would. Effectively, America would collapse overnight.

I don’t know the reason our nation isn’t mentioned in Bible prophecy, but I do know this: Jesus Christ is returning. The Bible says, “This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed” (Romans 13:11 NLT).

If you’re a believer who’s living a compromised life, you need to repent and get right with God. And if you don’t have a relationship with Jesus Christ, then you’ve got to wake up and get right with God. Wake up. Jesus is coming. Are you ready?

But how can they call on him (Jesus Christ) to save them unless they believe in him (Jesus Christ)? And how can they believe in him (Jesus Christ) if they have never heard about him (Jesus Christ)? And how can they hear about him (Jesus Christ) unless someone tells them?” Romans 10:14

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:15-17). C. Call upon His name, Confess with your heart and with your lips that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.
