News of 11 Russian and Chinese warships sailing in international waters off the Alaskan coastlines has sounded a tsunami of alarms in America. But why the alarms?

The United States has routinely practiced freedom of navigation operations in the Taiwan Strait and elsewhere since the Cold War began. Now Beijing and Moscow are following suit; obviously intent on causing an overreaction here much as Chinese balloons did earlier in the year. And they are succeeding brilliantly.

What Americans must be alarmed about is not a few warships off its coast, although that is understandable. The burning question is (7) how does a nation survive when its (7) Constitution is surrounded by circumstances never before (7) contemplated by the founding fathers or anyone (7) else. And truth, fact and the political (7) process are under simultaneous attack provoked by (7) a deeply and possibly irreversibly divided nation (7) on almost every issue, great or small. (7777777 7×7

(5) It has taken 60 (6) years for (7) the nation to descend to the point where over 70% (7) of Americans see (7) the nation headed in the wrong direction. An almost equal number do not want to see a rematch of 2020 with Donald Trump running against President Joe Biden again. Yet, are there alternatives?

Former President Trump faces three and possibly four indictments during his pursuit of re-election. (5) His near certain opponent is 80 years old, with (5) a very unpopular vice president (5) as a running mate and (5) saddled with a son whose (5) conduct at best is reprehensible. (55555) 5×5

Assuming Trump is the Republican nominee, how can a candidate running for president be entirely compatible with facing multiple charges of criminal wrongdoing? This can only end in disaster. And, to some, the Jan. 6 indictments pose even more serious charges.

Trump will use these indictments to his advantage, attacking the system for persecuting him, “weaponizing” the Justice Department, even though he is the one accused of breaking the law. Truth, fact and the political system could be eviscerated in this process as Trump refuses to accept any alternative version to his understanding of what each is.

By his own admission, Trump distorts truth and fact to serve his purposes. For example, Trump asserts that the Presidential Records Act allows him to retain even classified material. It does not. All “official documents” belong to the U.S. government. To say this is unprecedented is the most extreme form of understatement.

More dangerous are uncharted (7) constitutional waters and the question of whether (7) the Constitution is still fit for purpose. First, (7) a political system based on checks and (7) balances cannot work without compromise and civility. (5) Both have been made extinct (7) on Capitol Hill by Democrats and Republicans.

Second, the (7) Constitution is silent about presidential misconduct beyond (7) impeachment and conviction, forcing removal from office. Can a president commit high crimes and misdemeanors that can be subject to other jurisdictions? Trump was twice impeached, once after leaving office, and was acquitted. Suppose he is convicted of one or more alleged crimes? (7) How does the Constitution deal with that?

Third, the Electoral College system (7) has disenfranchised the majority of American voters. Twice over the past two decades, presidents were elected (5) while losing the popular vote: George W. Bush in 2000 and Trump in 2016. Trump still asserts he won in 2020, even though he was (5) defeated by some 5 million popular and 306-232 electoral votes.

Given that electoral and not popular votes count, in the 2024 election as few as 50 or 60,000 voters in four or five (5) states (5) could determine the next president. For (5) half the deeply divided electorate, it will be (5) delegitimatized no matter who wins. And fueling voter discontent in free speech.

When is presidential (7) lying unacceptable and when is it illegal? Trump is making this argument, ignoring truth and fact. (7) This First Amendment guarantee of free speech is among the most (5) obvious and potentially divisive issues in 2024.

As China and Russia are (5) toying with the United States with these naval exercises, how will (5) both exploit what will happen in America in 2024? They will. Allies also are very worried (7) about America’s (5) potential for a political implosion.

(7) The nation seems relatively unconcerned that it (7) is on a collision course with political (7) crises unlike any since your Civil War. (777)

(7) When truth and fact no longer count and its Constitution (7) has no answers, can a nation survive, especially in an election year with these two likely opponents (5) running to lead your country? No (7) One has proposed an acceptable way out. (777)

The US Government has become politically divided and is in discord and disunity. The political division affecting and splitting America is a direct result of its efforts to ‘divide Jerusalem’ via the ‘Deal of the Century’ or the regional covenant of peace and security in the Middle East. Throughout scripture, God has made it abundantly clear that Jerusalem is the ‘apple of his eye’ and has his stamp of ownership on it … above all other cities on earth. God makes it adequately clear in Zechariah 12:3 that any nation that attempts to cut or divide up Jerusalem, will themselves be cut up or divided. As such, the US is cut or divided politically because of its leadership role in attempting to split God’s Holy City of earthly Jerusalem. Plain and simple.

OK. So it’s clear about the accelerating implosion of political unity in the US. Political discord will get worse and become angrier, antagonistic, confrontational, and hateful with little to no compromise, concession, agreement or unity. Contempt and distrust rules the day. Some would say this is already the case not only between Democrats and Republicans, but also within each party. Whether you believe the US being extremely divided is a result of God’s wrath for its role in dividing Jerusalem or not, it doesn’t matter. The fact remains that the US is becoming bitterly more and more divided. This division has also taken place in culture (LGBTQP+ social inclusiveness agenda), economics (income inequality), etc. The list can go on. America is divided on so many levels, not just politically.

Why is there no mention of the ‘United’ States in Bible Prophecy?

I think we could make a very good case for finding Russia in Bible prophecy. I think we could make a pretty good case for finding China in Bible prophecy. And we certainly could make an airtight case for finding Iran in Bible prophecy—and Israel as well. But we cannot find the United States of America.

How is it that the reigning superpower on the planet today doesn’t seem to be mentioned?

No one knows the answer, but let’s consider an option. What if the Rapture were to take America out of its lead role?

There are approximately 328.2 million people in the United States. For the sake of illustration, I’ll round that number to 300 million. I don’t know how many are followers of Christ, but I read recently that 65 percent of Americans identify as Christians.

To be very conservative, let’s say that 10 percent of the people in the United States of America are Christians. Now, imagine for a moment what would happen if 30 million people (or more) suddenly were to leave Planet Earth in the Rapture—people who work in industries, government, the military, and every area imaginable.

Do you think that would affect our nation?

Of course it would. Effectively, America would collapse overnight.

I don’t know the reason our nation isn’t mentioned in Bible prophecy, but I do know this: Jesus Christ is returning. The Bible says, “This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed” (Romans 13:11 NLT).

If you’re a believer who’s living a compromised life, you need to repent and get right with God. And if you don’t have a relationship with Jesus Christ, then you’ve got to wake up and get right with God. Wake up. Jesus is coming. Are you ready?

But how can they call on him (Jesus Christ) to save them unless they believe in him (Jesus Christ)? And how can they believe in him (Jesus Christ) if they have never heard about him (Jesus Christ)? And how can they hear about him (Jesus Christ) unless someone tells them?” Romans 10:14
