Access control technologies, often with biometric facial recognition capabilities, continue to be upgraded with body temperature scanning sensors to meet the guidelines from official bodies like state governments and the Centers for Disease Control to identify and deny entry to people with fevers. New hardware or software products have been launched by Janam, Temperature Check, Samola Systems and Patriot One. Meanwhile VPR Brands has struck a distribution deal, and a Green Packet subsidiary, eConnect, Global Security Devices and Purview Services have announced deployments.

A new biometric facial recognition access management kiosk with thermal imaging to detect COVID-19 symptoms has been launched by Janam Technologies.

The company says the GT2 is easy to deploy, and reads temperature within 0.9 degrees Fahrenheit in less than a second from up to 20 inches away. If a fever is detected, the kiosk provides a voice alert and sounds a siren. The kiosk includes an optional mask detection mode, and can deny access to individuals not complying with mask guidance. The kiosk generates access logs for integration into human resources systems, and users can also interact with the Android-powered kiosk through a 7-inch touchscreen display.

The company will market the new kiosk to sports and live entertainment venues, airports, hospitals, retail establishments, restaurants, office buildings, hotels, schools and other organizations.

A new startup founded in response to the pandemic, Temperature Check, has launched a line of three devices, each with facial recognition, mask detection, and body temperature scanning, reports.

The company was founded by events industry veteran Bruce Pike, who notes that hospitality, and particularly the events space, was very hard-hit by the pandemic.

“As someone whose business for the past two decades revolved around the gathering of people, I made it my mission to provide a prevention tool to help business owners — from restaurants to corporate office lobbies and residential buildings to event venues — rebuild and enter this new reality with confidence,” Pike says.

The article includes positive feedback from a restaurant owner who is using the devices.

Temperature Check devices range in price from $1,295 to $2,295.

A new fully automated hospitality application suite with health screening and temperature monitoring has been launched by Samola Systems.

The Zeeko app suite consists of five apps, including one for pre check-in health questionnaires and IoT enabled temperature monitoring. When travelers check in, a high-definition facial image is captured to enable temperature monitoring on board, and thermal imaging kiosks with facial recognition can be deployed on the ship. Alternatively, wearables like wristbands can provide constant temperature monitoring, with data uploaded to a HIPAA-compliant cloud storage service.

Other apps provide point of sale, customer feedback, attendance tracking and online booking capabilities.

Katom Restaurant Supply is now reselling VPR Brands’ VPR Verified body temperature screening and facial recognition device to help businesses, and restaurants in particular, comply with health check protocols.

The kiosk can be used to log employees and check for mask wearing, alerting management of any breaches in policy.

Patriot One Technologies is upgrading its PATSCAN multi-sensor threat detection platform with body temperature screening, mask detection, and cross-location temperature monitoring to help predict future outbreaks.

The company has secured up to $4.5 million in co-investment funding from the Canadian Digital Technology Supercluster Covid19 Program to carry out the development. The new capabilities include real-time temperature monitoring with commodity-priced thermal cameras and detection of people and problem areas not maintaining social distancing.

Half of the funding comes during a first stage of module development over a four to six-month timeframe. The second stage and remaining funding will be provided to support the refining and redeployment of Health & Safety Modules with Stage One partners and customers over a six to eight-month timeframe.

Patriot One’s division has also worked with AWS, Vancouver General Hospital, University of British Columbia (UBC), and SapienML to develop a system for quickly identifying increased risk of COVID-19 from CT and X-Ray scans, based on the presence of Ground Glass Opacity. The company is also working on other access control offerings, and has engaged a marketing firm for a $120,000 digital advertising campaign.

Deployments launched for schools, casinos, nursing homes and airports

Students at several schools in Malaysia are undergoing temperature and attendance checks with facial recognition as they return to classes, according to an announcement from Green Packet Berhad subsidiary kipleLive.

Green Packet provides the systems’ facial biometrics, and students registered with kipleLive’s cloud-based attendance system have their attendance logged with a contactless check in an “attendance zone” on their way into school.

One school where the system has been deployed, SM Cheras Perdana, also piloted facial recognition contactless food distribution last year, according to the report. KipleLive is continuing to develop this solution, and plans to link student meal purchases to their parents’ account and app to authorize prepaid meals.

A photo accompanying the article shows a student using the facial recognition system while wearing a hijab and mask.

Casino operator Comanche Nation Entertainment has deployed eClear temperature screening and facial recognition technology from eConnect to make its five casinos as safe as possible for guests and staff.

eClear scanners can be used as time clocks, to perform real-time aggregate counts of entrances and exits, and to identify valuable or banned customers, in addition to temperature checks.

The company notes that elevated temperature has been found in nearly 88 percent of symptomatic COVID-19 cases.

eClear was also recently chosen by North Star Mohican Casino Resort.

Global Security Devices (GSD) has integrated biometric facial recognition and contactless body temperature scanning to its access control systems, which already utilized fingerprint biometrics, Ireland’s Business Post writes.

The GSD Facial Recognition and Temperature Screening console is suggested by the company for nursing homes, food processing facilities, offices, clinics and schools, and according to the article supports Health Information and Quality Authority recommendations for recording information, including temperature data, about employees.

The system is GDPR compliant, accurate to within 0.3 degrees Celsius, stores up to 20,000 employees and has an optional mask detection feature.

A nursing home company operator CEO told Business Post said the console’s contactless function motivated his group of nursing homes to deploy it, and another nursing home operator representative said it has been deployed at its facilities and head office.

Purview Services has launched a facial recognition and body temperature scanning system capable of scanning 30 people per second, Daily Business reports.

The Scotland-based companies CEO Reddy Punna contracted the novel coronavirus while on a business trip in India, and has focussed on developing the company’s business in that country.

Purview’s temperature checking technology has been successfully trialled at Vijayawada and Rajahmundry Airports in Andhra Pradesh, and a trial is currently ongoing at Bangalore Airport. Commuter rail hub Secunderabad Railway Station, hospitals and hotels also use the technology, according to Daily Business.

Make Your Decision for Christ NOW!!!!!!! Time is Up!!!!!!!

Jesus Christ’s Offer of Salvation:

The ABCs of Salvation through Jesus Christ (the Lamb)

A. Admit/Acknowledge/Accept that you are sinner. Ask God’s forgiveness and repent of your sins.

. . . “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23).

. . . “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10).

. . . “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8).

B. Believe Jesus is Lord. Believe that Jesus Christ is who He claimed to be; that He was both fully God and fully man and that we are saved through His death, burial, and resurrection. Put your trust in Him as your only hope of salvation. Become a son or daughter of God by receiving Christ.

. . . “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:15-17). For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13).

C. Call upon His name, Confess with your heart and with your lips that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.

. . . “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10).

. . . “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” (John 1:8-10).

. . . “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. (John 2:2).

. . . “In this was manifested the love of god toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.” (1 John 4:9, 14-15).

. . . “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” (Romans 5:8-10).

. . . “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23).

. . . “Jesus saith unto them, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6).

. . . “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.” (Romans 1:16).

. . . “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts: 4:12).

. . . “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth for there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:4-6).

. . . “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5:9).

. . . “But as many as received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” (John 1:12).

True Church / Bride of Christ Spared from God’s Wrath:
