Jesus indicated that ‘fearful sights’ (various natural disasters) would occur leading up to the time known as the Tribulation and Great Tribulation (a combined seven year period of great destruction on earth). Although these types of things have occurred in the past for centuries and thousands of years, they could be identified as the ‘season of the times’ due to the ferociousness of these events. They would be occurring in greater intensity, severity, frequency, size, duration, scope … just like the pains that a woman experiences in labor the farther along she is in the labor process. We are in the ‘season of the times’ that comes just before the seven (7) year Tribulation/Great Tribulation period
… And great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, and famines, and
pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
(Luke 21:11).
… And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and
upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves
roaring; (Luke 21:25)
… Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which
are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken; (Luke 21:26)
… This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2 Timothy
3:1)
Jesus is giving a series of prophecies about what to look for as the age of
grace comes to a close. These verses are several of many such prophecies from
throughout the Bible. 2017 was the worst year in recorded history for the
intensity, frequency, severity, duration and occurrence of a large number of
severe natural disasters worldwide. Earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes,
typhoons, cyclones, torrential flooding, unprecedented wildfires in unusual
places, devastating droughts, excessive/scorching heat setting records
everywhere, record snowfalls in Europe and Russia. Snow in the Arabia. This
list can go on. Most studied Eschatologists believe these ‘fearful sights’ and
massive natural disasters are all part of the ‘CONVERGENCE’ of signs that this
Biblical and prophetic age is closing. Most people who study prophecy are
familiar with the routine reference(s) made that these things will be like
a woman having labor.
Coronavirus Update: Coronavirus lockdown? US military on alert ‘to contain’ mass panic on the streets
THE US has puts its military on standby amid claims they will have to “maintain order” if the coronavirus outbreak causes mass panic in America. First time the US has enforced a large-scale quarantine for over a century – since the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918.

The US Department of Defense has put its military on alert in case panic breaks out onto the streets over the coronavirus. The army is in “a state of readiness” in case they are called upon to “maintain order, contain outbreaks and be ready for combat”. This comes as the US confirmed it had set up quarantine centres at 15 military facilities across the country in house those who are infected.
It is the first time the US has enforced a large-scale quarantine for over a century – since the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918.
In a memo sent to Navy and Marine Corps commanders, the Department of Defense urged preparation for an imminent coronavirus “pandemic”.
Commanders are now reviewing their plans for containing the disease in the event that it breaks out among military personnel and to play a role, if necessary, in help authorities contain the disease in the general public in the US and abroad.
They were ordered “to check on preparedness plans to ensure military members can help maintain order, contain outbreaks and be ready for combat”.
The exact scenario where combat would be deployed in the case of the coronavirus was not specified in the memo.
Navy Lt Commander Mike Hatfield told the Military Times that planning for an event “does not indicate a greater likelihood of an event developing”.
He added: “As military professionals, planning for a range of contingencies is something we owe the American people.”
The US and other countries have evacuated citizens from Wuhan, China, because of a coronavirus outbreak that has killed at least 1,380 people and infected more than 66,000.
In the last month, approximately 800 US citizens have been flown out of Wuhan.
The US evacuees are being quarantined for 14 days, since the CDC suggests the virus’ incubation period ranges from two days to two weeks.
Five primary military bases – three in California, one each in Colorado, Nebraska, and Texas – can hold up to 1,000 quarantined people.
The additional locations can house up to 20 people, but these have not been used yet.
The CDC said “There will likely be additional cases in the coming days and weeks, including among other people recently returned from Wuhan.”
On Thursday, the CDC confirmed a 15th case of the virus in the US. Nearly all of the confirmed U.S. coronavirus cases have been in individuals who had recently traveled in China.
Earlier today, France’s health minister announced the first coronavirus death in Europe, after an 80-year-old Chinese tourist died overnight.
