Blog note. Jesus indicated that ‘fearful sights’ (various natural disasters) would occur leading up to the time known as the Tribulation and Great Tribulation (a combined seven year period of great destruction on earth). Although these types of things have occurred in the past for centuries and thousands of years, they could be identified as the ‘season of the times’ due to the ferociousness of these events. They would be occurring in greater intensity, severity, frequency, size, duration, scope … just like the pains that a woman experiences in labor the farther along she is in the labor process. We are in the ‘season of the times’ that comes just before the seven (7) year Tribulation/Great Tribulation period
… And great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. (Luke 21:11).
… And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; (Luke 21:25)
… Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken; (Luke 21:26)
… This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2 Timothy 3:1)
Jesus is giving a series of prophecies about what to look for as the age of grace comes to a close. These verses are several of many such prophecies from throughout the Bible. 2017 was the worst year in recorded history for the intensity, frequency, severity, duration and occurrence of a large number of severe natural disasters worldwide. Earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, typhoons, cyclones, torrential flooding, unprecedented wildfires in unusual places, devastating droughts, excessive/scorching heat setting records everywhere, record snowfalls in Europe and Russia. Snow in the Arabia. This list can go on. Most studied Eschatologists believe these ‘fearful sights’ and massive natural disasters are all part of the ‘CONVERGENCE’ of signs that this Biblical and prophetic age is closing. Most people who study prophecy are familiar with the routine reference(s) made that these things will be like a woman having labor.

Scientists detected the brightest light in the universe for the first time, following a mysterious explosion in space. Signs in the heavens.

Two violent explosions in galaxies billions of light-years away recently produced the brightest light in the universe. Scientists caught it in action for the first time. The explosions were gamma-ray bursts, short eruptions of the most energetic form of light in the universe.

Telescopes caught the first burst in July 2018. The second burst, captured in January, produced light containing about 100 (5+5) billion times as much energy as the light that’s visible to our eyes.

Gamma-ray bursts appear without warning and last only a few seconds, so astronomers had to move quickly. Just 50 (5) seconds after satellites spotted the January explosion, telescopes on Earth swiveled to catch a flood of thousands of particles of light.

“These are by far the highest-energy photons ever discovered from a gamma-ray burst,” Elisa Bernardini, a gamma-ray scientist, said in a press release on Wednesday.

Over 300 (6×5) scientists around the world studied the results; their work was published on Wednesday in the journal Nature.

50 (5) seconds to capture the brightest, most mysterious light in the universe

Gamma-ray bursts happen almost every day, without warning, and they last just a few seconds. Yet the high-energy explosions remain something of a mystery to scientists. Astronomers think they come from colliding neutron stars or from supernovae — events in which stars run out of fuel, give in to their own gravity, and collapse into ‘black holes’.

“Gamma-ray bursts are the most powerful explosions known in the universe and typically release more energy in just a few seconds than our sun during its entire lifetime,” David Berge, a gamma-ray scientist, said in the release. “They can shine through almost the entire visible universe.”

The brief, intense eruptions of gamma rays are followed by hours or days of afterglow.

Telescopes have observed low-energy rays that come from the initial explosion and the afterglow.

“Much of what we’ve learned about GRBs over the past couple of decades has come from observing their afterglows at lower energies,” Elizabeth Hays, a NASA scientist, said in a release.

But scientists had never caught the ultra-high-energy light until these two recent observations.

On January 14, two NASA satellites detected an explosion in a galaxy over 4 billion light-years away. Within 22 seconds, these space telescopes — the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory and the Fermi Gamma-Ray Space Telescope — beamed the coordinates of the burst to astronomers all over Earth.

Within 27 seconds of receiving the coordinates, astronomers in the Canary Islands turned two Major Atmospheric Gamma Imaging Cherenkov telescopes toward that point in the sky.

The photons flooded those telescopes for the next 20 minutes, leading to new revelations about some of the most elusive properties of gamma-ray bursts.

“It turns out we were missing approximately 50% (5) of their energy budget until now,” Konstancja Satalecka, a scientist who coordinates the telescopes’ searches for gamma-ray bursts, said in the release. “Our measurements show that the energy released in very-high-energy gamma-rays is comparable to the amount radiated at all lower energies taken together. That is remarkable.”

Ultra-high-energy light came in the afterglow, not the explosion itself

The photons detected from a gamma-ray burst six (6) months earlier, in July 2018, weren’t as energetic or as numerous as those from the January explosion.

But the earlier detection was still notable because the flow of high-energy light came 10 (5+5) hours after the initial explosion. The light lasted for another two hours — deep into the afterglow phase.

In their paper, the researchers suggested that electrons may have scattered the photons, increasing the photons’ energy. Another paper about the January observations suggested the same thing.

Scientists had long suspected that this scattering was one way that gamma-ray bursts could produce so much ultra-high-energy light in the afterglow phase. The observations of these two bursts confirmed that for the first time.

Scientists expect to learn more as they turn telescopes toward more gamma-ray bursts like these in the future.

“Thanks to these new ground-based detections, we’re seeing the gamma rays from gamma-ray bursts in a whole new way,” Hays said.

Falls of Lucifer…the ‘brightest’ ‘cherub’ (top of all the angelic orders). Nowhere near the brightness of the Son or the Lamb of God.

(Night Watchman note: 10 stones of different colors; In ‘additive’ color mixing, like light, all the colors combined create white. All the color of the 10 stones would create a ‘Great White.’ Consider a prism and imagine the process in reverse. In ‘subtractive’ color mixing, like paint, all the colors combined create black or a ‘Great Black.’ White is symbolic for righteousness, Black is symbolic for evil/iniquity. (Night Watchman note: ‘10’ when used in context with anything of God refers to God’s physical completion to things on earth. This is literal in terms of ‘physicality.’ God’s word is clear that the colors assigned or appointed to Lucifer were the same colors as those found in the 10 stones or crystals of earth. Presumably, these 10 stones and 10 colors represents the widest spectrum of crystal colors on earth, which are the most ‘sparkly’. Lucifer was originally given these colors in his appearance, however that may be. Once Lucifer was found to have evil/iniquity in him, the ‘white’ color of righteousness was taken from him – subtracted – resulting in ‘black’. ‘10’ when used in context with evil/iniquity is a doubling of evil 5+5 = 10, since 5 represents satanic evil and influence of men on earth. It is the exact complete opposite of God’s physical completeness or righteousness ‘white’ of anything of his doing on earth. Simple enough.)

14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. (Emphasis added).

(Night Watchman note: Cherub is the top order or tier of God’s created angelic realm. They are bestowed with the highest talents or qualities God gave and allowed angels to possess.)

(Night Watchman note: what does it mean to ‘anoint?’ In a nutshell, to be conferred ‘special status’. Definition of anoint; 1. Smear or rub with oil or an oily substance, 2. Apply oil to as part of a religious ceremony, 3. Choose by or as if by divine election, 4. Designate as if by a ritual anointment.)

(Night Watchman note: ‘wast upon the holy mountain, walked in the midst of stones of fire.’ This means that as a Cherub, Lucifer had direct access to God’s holy mountain or throne in heaven. Cherub’s provided a ‘covering’ for God. Only Cherub’s had this ability to provide ‘covering’ among a very few and very select group of beings that had direct access to God. See the four heavenly beasts in Revelation. These four ‘beasts’ are not angels, but special creations of God, unlike anything other created being in heaven or the earth.)

17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. (Emphasis added).

(Night Watchman note: Lucifer was consumed by his literal beauty and literal ‘brightness.’ Presumably, he was the brightest (literally) of the cherub order and amongst all the angels. As such, PRIDE / INIQUITY / EVIL, entered him and he lost his position as the most anointed among the cherub order and the angels. His ‘ego’ got the best of him and he fell from God’s divine grace. In his anger from his fall, he lured one third of the angelic host to rebel with him against God. Same as a fired general gathers troops loyal to him and attempts a coup against the King. Simple enough.)
