When I was first told I might be addicted to video games, I was sure they were wrong.

Yes, I admit it, I have spent countless hours playing games like the Elder Scrolls and Grand Theft Auto and have always loved gaming, but who doesn’t?

Surely I didn’t fit the profile of an addict? Despite my scepticism, the advice after a phone call with a psychotherapist at UK Addiction Treatment Centres (UKAT) was clear.
