Rumours and Threats of Wars: NATO’s ‘aggressive anti-Russian’ policies condemned by Moscow as military warning fired

Rumours and Threats of Wars:

Matthew 24:6-8 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Mark 13:7-8 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

Foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said NATO had been made to get ready for non-existent threats from Russia made by the US. He claims that the two budgets of the militaries stood at $1trillion for NATO and $50billion for Russia. According to Newsweek, Russia and NATO had planned to become closer with making of a joint council.

The council was aimed to improve understanding between the two units and it initially worked in the 2000s.

However, since 2010 relations have weakened.

Mr Lavrov said: “Under the pressure from Washington which pursues its own geopolitical goals, NATO countries are conducting aggressive anti-Russian policies.

“Military spending is increased without any justification.

“In 2018, the US spent over $700billion (£557billion) on this, while NATO as a whole spent around $1trillion (£796billion), while Russia only spent less than $50billion (£39billion).”

Members of NATO increased tensions with Russia after Moscow backed revolts in the Ukraine, launched attacks in the UK and allegedly controlled the US Presidential election.

The intervention comes after Mr Lavrov warned the US of the “catastrophic consequences” they will face if they continue to blame Iran for tensions in the Middle East.

Tensions between the US and Iran have escalated in recent months after Washington pulled out of the 2015 nuclear deal.

Tehran responded by admitting its stores of uranium had breached the levels required in the pact.

Since, the US has threatened to place crippling sanctions on Iran and its allies.

Military presence in the Middle East has also been bolstered at the request of the Pentagon.

Mr Larov’s comments come as Iran’s foreign minister Mohammad Zarif said “no one would be safe” if conflict broke out in the region.
