Blog note. Jesus indicated
that ‘fearful sights’ (various natural disasters) would occur leading up to the
time known as the Tribulation and Great Tribulation (a combined seven year
period of great destruction on earth). Although these types of things have
occurred in the past for centuries and thousands of years, they could be
identified as the ‘season of the times’ due to the ferociousness of these
events. They would be occurring in greater intensity, severity, frequency,
size, duration, scope … just like the pains that a woman experiences in labor
the farther along she is in the labor process. We are in the ‘season of the
times’ that comes just before the seven (7) year Tribulation/Great Tribulation
period
… And great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, and
famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be
from heaven. (Luke 21:11).
… And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and
in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea
and the waves roaring; (Luke 21:25)
… Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after
those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be
shaken; (Luke 21:26)
… This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall
come. (2 Timothy 3:1)
Jesus is giving a series of prophecies about what to look for
as the age of grace comes to a close. These verses are several of many such
prophecies from throughout the Bible. 2017 was the worst year in recorded
history for the intensity, frequency, severity, duration and occurrence of a
large number of severe natural disasters worldwide. Earthquakes, volcanoes,
hurricanes, typhoons, cyclones, torrential flooding, unprecedented wildfires in
unusual places, devastating droughts, excessive/scorching heat setting records
everywhere, record snowfalls in Europe and Russia. Snow in the Arabia. This
list can go on. Most studied Eschatologists believe these ‘fearful sights’ and
massive natural disasters are all part of the ‘CONVERGENCE’ of signs that this
Biblical and prophetic age is closing. Most people who study prophecy are
familiar with the routine reference(s) made that these things will be like
a woman having labor pains, growing in intensity, frequency, size and duration.
Europe heatwave: Scorching air from the tropics to bring 40C heatwave – latest forecast
EUROPE is destined for the second heatwave in four weeks, as the continent braces for returning 40C highs.
Express.co.uk July 19, 2019
Europe could be in for more record temperatures towards the end of the month, as forecasters have predicted the mercury will rise sky-high once again. The last time Europe saw temperatures rocket was at the end of June when a plume of African heat enveloped the continent. Temperatures reached a maximum of 45.6C in France, and averages of 38C to 40C were detected elsewhere. The UK did not escape these highs, with temperatures of 35C in London.
According to French meteorological agency Meteo France, Europe could be approaching a second heatwave.
They said temperatures would begin to climb this weekend in Europe, and most places could see 35C by next Tuesday.
Germany, the UK, Austria, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain will see similar temperatures.
The UK could see highs of 31C by this weekend.
A tweet from MetDesk company WX Charts concurred and released a map with a foreboding black spot of heat placed over the European mainland.
The tweet read: “We could be looking at another round of extreme European heat next week.
“One to watch for now, but the signal [for a heatwave] is there.”
Some scientists say this second heatwave could see July 2019 go down in history as the hottest month ever.
Michael Mann, a climate scientist and director of the Penn State University Earth System Science Centre (ESSC) in the US, said these temperatures could usher in the warmest July on Earth.
He said via Twitter: “This is significant.
“But stay tuned for July numbers.
“July is the warmest month of the year globally.
“If this July turns out to be the warmest July (it has a good shot at it), it will be the warmest month we have measured on Earth.”
While many people may be happy to see the return of hotter-than-average summer temperatures, they will also have to deal with thunderstorms.
Severe weather systems require moisture and warmth to form in the upper atmosphere, and summer provides the perfect mix of conditions.
From the end of this week to Thursday next week, the chances of thunderstorms in the Mediterranean – especially around Greece, Italy and Turkey – increases.
Forecasters predict storms could bring large hail and frequent lightning strikes.
BBC weather forecaster Stav Danaos warned holidaying Brits could see their peaceful getaway interrupted by crackling lightning and hail.
He said: “The risk of thunderstorms continues for southeastern portions of Europe, particularly southern Italy and into portions of Greece.
“The risk has been clearing away from southern Italy over the past 24-hours and transferring into parts of Greece and into western Turkey.
“Some of these thunderstorms are capable of producing very large hail and very frequent lightning.”
