Blog note. Jesus
indicated that ‘fearful sights’ (various natural disasters) would occur leading
up to the time known as the Tribulation and Great Tribulation (a combined seven
year period of great destruction on earth). Although these types of things have
occurred in the past for centuries and thousands of years, they could be
identified as the ‘season of the times’ due to the ferociousness of these
events. They would be occurring in greater intensity, severity, frequency,
size, duration, scope … just like the pains that a woman experiences in labor
the farther along she is in the labor process. We are in the ‘season of the
times’ that comes just before the seven (7) year Tribulation/Great Tribulation
period
… And great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, and
famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be
from heaven. (Luke 21:11).
… And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and
in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea
and the waves roaring; (Luke 21:25)
… Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after
those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be
shaken; (Luke 21:26)
… This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall
come. (2 Timothy 3:1)
Jesus is giving a series of prophecies about what to look for
as the age of grace comes to a close. These verses are several of many such
prophecies from throughout the Bible. 2017 was the worst year in recorded
history for the intensity, frequency, severity, duration and occurrence of a
large number of severe natural disasters worldwide. Earthquakes, volcanoes,
hurricanes, typhoons, cyclones, torrential flooding, unprecedented wildfires in
unusual places, devastating droughts, excessive/scorching heat setting records
everywhere, record snowfalls in Europe and Russia. Snow in the Arabia. This
list can go on. Most studied Eschatologists believe these ‘fearful sights’ and
massive natural disasters are all part of the ‘CONVERGENCE’ of signs that this
Biblical and prophetic age is closing. Most people who study prophecy are
familiar with the routine reference(s) made that these things will be like
a woman having labor.

On
September 23, 2017 we witnessed an astronomical alignment described in
Revelation 12:1–2 centered on Virgo. Divine or mere coincidence, the
alignment precisely fit John’s description like no other alignment in history.
On October 8, 2018 a series of meteor showers that may have fulfilled
Revelation 12:3–4, culminating with an unusually large showing of the Draconids
(200 shooting stars per hour), occurred along the path of what might be the astronomical aspect of the great red dragon. This
resulted
in what appeared to be approximately one-third
of the visible stars in the sky falling to earth. This also
happened while Jupiter (the astronomical symbol of the man-child) was in Libra,
near the seven heads of Serpens. Venus was in transit on its way to
“rescue” the man-child.
On January
21–22, 2019 Venus finally reached Jupiter, appearing to “snatch” the man-child out of harm’s way,
in the immediate vicinity of Serpen’s seven heads. This at the same time
as a super blood moon. If there was any astronomical piece to Revelation
12:5, this certainly seemed to fit.
What happens next? What is the next event on the horizon?
After
this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And
the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, ‘Come up here,
and I will show you what must take place after this.’
I would argue that what’s next is the man-child’s arrival in Heaven—the rapture pictured in Revelation 4:1. A door in the sky—a portal to another dimension—through which John travels to reach God’s throne room.
You may have already seen the news, but astrophysicists have just captured the first image of a portal to another dimension and it happened just a few days ago. It’s the first picture of a black hole ever taken—”a door standing open in heaven” through which light and matter exit our observable universe. Here is the actual picture:
The dark spot you see
in the middle of the ring of light is not the blackness of space. What
you actually see is a hole in spacetime, which is an immense gravity well.
You’re peering into another dimension. The edge of that dark spot is
called an event horizon. And what an aptly named thing,
foreshadowing the next major prophetic event on the horizon: the rapture of the
Church through a portal in Heaven to appear before God’s throne.
Truth is stranger than fiction. Here’s an animation of how this

And guess where this portal in the sky is located?
Yes, right next to
Virgo, which is the constellation at the center of all the astronomical signs
in Revelation 12.
Is
this the actual door in Heaven described in Revelation 4? No. But
it’s a perfectly timed and powerful picture of what’s soon to come.
