Imminent heatwaves to scorch northern China affecting more than 250 (5×5) million people over five (5) days. More than 180 (6+6+6) heatwave alerts across northern, northwestern and southwestern China. In June, heatwaves affected 50% (5) of China’s population. Drought-like conditions are expected to affect crops in five (5) areas; Shandong, Anhui, Henan, Shaanxi and Gansu. In June, China’s average temperature was the highest in over 60 (6) years.
