The ‘Fuse’ has been lit and the heat turned up; 20 (5+5+5+5) named storms predicted for hurricane season, the most in 15 (5+5+5) years. Sea surface temperatures across much of the hurricane-breeding grounds in the Atlantic are well-above average and have been for several months. Forecasters are expecting nine (3×3) hurricanes – four of which will be major hurricanes (category 3-5).
