Longtime Defense Department researcher Luis “Lue” Elizondo has become well-known for reporting the existence of UFOs (unidentified flying objects), now known as unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs).
In his new book, “Imminent: Inside the Pentagon’s Hunt for UFOs,” which is available now, former Pentagon insider Elizondo invites the reader into this hidden world.
He joined ABC News’ Stephanie Ramos to discuss why he decided to write the book, government secrecy around UAPs, official comments on these phenomena and some of his own unusual experiences.

ABC NEWS: Unidentified flying objects have fueled decades of speculation and conspiracy theories. In his new book, “Imminent: Inside the Pentagon’s Hunt for UFOs,” longtime Defense Department researcher Lue Elizondo, the former head of the Pentagon program responsible for the investigation of UFOs, now known as unidentified anomalous phenomena, reveals long hidden truths with profound implications for not only national security, but our understanding of the universe.
Joining us now is Lue Elizondo. Thank you so much for joining us. Really appreciate it. So “Imminent” tells the story of your courageous fight to make public what the government knows and doesn’t know about UAPs. What made you want to write about this?
ELIZONDO: Yeah, well, I wanted to be able to tell the American public my experiences and what the government has been doing for a very long time, not just when I was in the program, but for decades about the government’s interest in UFOs or now what we call UAP. You’re absolutely right, unidentified anomalous phenomenon. The fact is, they’re real and they are a national security issue for this country.
ABC NEWS: And it’s so interesting because many, many years ago I worked at the Pentagon for ABC, and I remember getting a tour of some of the hallways and, and somebody said “Oh, that’s where they study UFOs, UAPs. But it’s top secret.” Like that’s all they would say. So there’s this secrecy approach to all of this, right?
You write in your book, “While there are valid reasons for secrecy around some aspects of UAPs. I do not think humanity should be kept in the dark about the fundamental fact that we are not the only intelligent life in the universe.” So why do you think the United States government and other major governments have taken a secrecy approach to UAPs?
ELIZONDO: Sure. I think if we look at this, temporally speaking, the U.S. government, when we started really looking at this, was at the height of the Cold War. And you had this contentious relationship at best with then-Soviet Union.
And what we didn’t want to do was necessarily tip our hand to any information, perhaps, that we’ve gleaned from UAP or UFOs and, certainly, perhaps any information gaps or maybe information that we don’t know about the UFOs. So that’s one reason. And then I think the other reason is that governments inherently are responsible for ensuring the protection of their people, their citizens.
ABC NEWS: So Lue, for those who may be skeptical and are thinking “Nope, there’s no such thing as UFOs, it’s non-existent.” And you’re here to tell us that there is fact and research that they do exist.

ABC NEWS: And so much technology that’s been analyzed and researched. Now, let’s talk about your own personal experience. You mentioned in this book that UAPs have appeared both in and around your home. How did these personal experiences influence your views on UAP and what exactly did you see?
ELIZONDO: Yeah, sure. So first of all, let me preface. We’re not sure if they are actually UAP-related. What we do know is that a lot of people that were in the program that I was in also had very similar encounters while they were in the program.
So not before or not after, but during the time that we were researching these UAP and from our experience, when I say ours, I mean my families and even our neighbors, witnessed some of these – are these LUMINOUS GREEN BALLS OF LIGHT. Very diffuse in nature. No hard edges. That would just seem to kind of peruse the house and go down the hall and go through a wall.
I know it sounds rather bizarre. And look, there are absolutely possible natural explanations, right? You could say ball lightning or Saint Elmo’s fire or some sort of plasma static charge in the air. But the bottom line is, it was very bizarre. It was witnessed by not only my family, but again, neighbors and other individuals who were part of our effort, and the government, also experienced, very, very similar encounters at their residences.

For the past several years a man named Luis “Lue” Elizondo has been making claims about UFOs and aliens that should have many Americans concerned.
The reason why people should be paying more attention to him is because, for 10 years, he was the director of the PENTAGON’S ADVANCED AEROSPACE THREAT IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM (AATIP) which was tasked with investigating reports of UFOs.
In 2022, Luis Elizondo revealed that he would be writing a tell-all book about his work for the Department of Defense that he claimed will have “profound implications for humanity.”
That book, Imminent: Inside the Pentagon’s Hunt for UFOs, has now been published and this week he spoke to the New York Times about it.
In the book he asserted that a decades-long UFO crash retrieval program has been operating as a supersecret umbrella group made up of government officials working with defense and aerospace contractors. Over the years, he wrote, technology and biological remains of nonhuman origin have been retrieved from these crashes.
“Humanity is, in fact, not the only intelligent life in the universe, and not the alpha species,” Elizondo wrote.
ACCORDING TO THE TIMES, LUIS ELIZONDO STILL HOLDS THE HIGHEST SECURITY CLEARANCES AND CONSULTS FOR THE GOVERNMENT. SO HE’S NOT JUST SOME CRACKPOT.
In an article he Elizondo penned for Newsweek this week, Luis Elizondo talked about the NAVY “TIC TAC” VIDEO FROM 2004 AND THE “GO FAST” AND “GIMBAL” VIDEOS FROM 2014-2015 THAT WERE RELEASED IN 2017.
“These videos showed aircraft performing maneuvers that defied our understanding of physics and aerodynamics,” he writes. “In terms of speed, conventional U.S. aircraft like the SR-71 Blackbird can reach speeds of about Mach 5 — roughly 3,200 miles per hour. However, the UAP OBSERVED IN MANY OF THE VIDEOS IN POSSESSION BY THE PENTAGON WERE REPORTEDLY PERFORMING MANEUVERS AT SPEEDS ESTIMATED TO BE MANY TIMES FASTER THAN THIS—AND WITHSTANDING UP TO SEVERAL THOUSAND G-FORCES, FAR BEYOND THE CAPABILITIES OF ANY KNOWN HUMAN-MADE AIRCRAFT.
“THESE OBJECTS WERE MAKING RAPID TURNS AND ACCELERATING IN WAYS THAT DEFY OUR UNDERSTANDING OF PHYSICS AND MATERIAL SCIENCE, WHICH WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANY PILOT OR CURRENT TECHNOLOGY TO WITHSTAND WITHOUT CATASTROPHIC FAILURE.”
In his book, Luis Elizondo reiterates and expands on claims he has made in the past including one in which HE SAYS GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS RETRIEVED “TECHNOLOGY AND BIOLOGICAL OBJECTS” AFTER THE INFAMOUS ROSWELL CRASH OF 1947.
“Our primitive EMP (electromagnetic pulse) device must have somehow disrupted their propulsion bubble, rendering them vulnerable,” he write, according to the Express, adding it was “like a 757 losing all power on its jet engines. FOUR DECEASED NONHUMAN BODIES WERE IN FACT RECOVERED FROM THE 1947 ROSWELL CRASH.”
“IMAGINE A TECHNOLOGY THAT CAN DO 6-TO-700 G-FORCES, THAT CAN FLY AT 13,000 MILES AN HOUR, THAT CAN EVADE RADAR AND THAT CAN FLY THROUGH AIR AND WATER AND POSSIBLY SPACE,” Elizondo revealed to CBS News’ Bill Whitaker in 2022. “And oh, by the way, has NO OBVIOUS SIGNS OF PROPULSION, NO WINGS, NO CONTROL SURFACES AND YET STILL CAN DEFY THE NATURAL EFFECTS OF EARTH’S GRAVITY. THAT’S PRECISELY WHAT WE’RE SEEING.”
UFOS: FROM PSYCHOLOGY TO AIR TRAFFIC, ARE WE CLOSER THAN EVER TO AN ANSWER?

As the new series of the BBC’s Paranormal looks into alleged UFO sightings, one aerospace expert says accessible, modern technology puts us in a stronger position than ever to work out what’s going on in the skies above us.
It was a rainy day in PEMBROKESHIRE IN FEBRUARY 1977 WHEN A GROUP OF PUPILS FROM BROAD HAVEN PRIMARY SCHOOL CLAIMED TO SEE AN UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT (UFO) outside.
David Davies, who was just 10 at the time, remembers his fellow students coming inside throughout the day “trying to alert the headmaster that there was something strange going on”.
The schoolboy was sure there was a logical explanation for what they had seen. “My intention was to go out there and completely prove them wrong,” David says.
But when he went to investigate, he says he saw A “SILVER, CIGAR-SHAPED OBJECT” ABOUT THE SIZE OF A BUS, WITH A DOMED UPPER SECTION AND A “RED PULSATING GLOW” ON TOP.
“I had this overwhelming urge to run away,” David says of the sighting that lasted about 10 seconds.
This event in south-west Wales is explored in the latest series of the BBC’s Paranormal. Across four episodes, host Sian Eleri investigates alleged UFO sightings in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
It comes as claims about extraterrestrial life have captured the public imagination yet again. Last year, the US Congress convened a landmark panel on the topic, mysterious monoliths continue to appear in the UK and around the world, and social media is home to viral trends about “alien bodies”. On TikTok, for example, there are more than a million posts with the hashtag “UFO”.
And one aerospace expert tells the BBC that in 2024, thanks to everyone having a phone in their pocket and many people using apps to follow air traffic, we are in “a much stronger position to be able to track what’s known and what’s unknown”.
So is there a simple explanation for why we see UFOs? And should they be investigated?
‘A lot of UFO hunting’
UFOs have held our attention for decades, ever since reports of alleged extraterrestrial debris in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947, the movie The Flying Saucer being released three years later and the Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union gaining steam throughout 1950s.
And stories about alien life would go on to influence popular culture in the years to come, from Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-winning E.T. in 1982, to The X Files first airing in 1993 and even recent additions like Jordan Peele’s 2022 film Nope feeding into the cultural obsession.
Dr Ciaran O’Keeffe – the head of the school of human and social sciences at Buckinghamshire New University – says there was also a “huge peak of interest” in UFO sightings around the 1980s that resulted in “a lot of UFO hunting”.
Reported sightings were covered by media around the world – and the alleged sighting at Broad Haven Primary School was picked up by publications as far as New Zealand.
The Broad Haven incident was one of a wave of sightings in the area in 1977 – dubbed the Dyfed Triangle. In the past, a number of theories have been put forward to explain them, including the work of a “local prankster”.
While sightings like the one in Broad Haven captured mass attention, Dr O’Keeffe says there may be plausible explanations.
“The key fundamental psychological explanation for what’s going on is around eyewitness testimony,” says Dr O’Keeffe, who also consults on the BBC’s Uncanny, adding that eyewitness testimony can be prone to errors.
“The nature of the interviewing of an eyewitness can distort the memory of the event significantly,” he adds, especially if the questioning of a witness is poor. For example, leading questions and exposure to media coverage of an event can be distorting factors.
However, THE UFO SIGHTING AT BROAD HAVEN PRIMARY SCHOOL WAS NOT JUST ONE EYEWITNESS, IT WAS A GROUP OF PUPILS. Here, Dr O’Keeffe explains the idea of “contagion” and group conformity could be behind a mass UFO sighting.
“Contagion is this idea that thoughts, feelings and behaviours can spread amongst a group of people,” Dr O’Keeffe says.
However, David feels he can “rule out” these psychological explanations for the 1977 SIGHTING AFTER THE CHILDREN REPORTEDLY DREW NEAR IDENTICAL IMAGES OF THE UFO THEY HAD SEEN.
Before the incident, David adds, he did not have a “big interest in Sci-Fi”. But in the years that followed, he would spend thousands of pounds on books and research materials to understand what happened.

‘Not always publicised’
Dr Ryan Marks, an aerospace engineer who appears in Paranormal, says air traffic in the sky could also offer plausible explanations FOR UFO SIGHTINGS, PARTICULARLY AROUND BUILT-UP AREAS WHERE THERE ARE AIRFIELDS.
According to the RAF Museum, between 1970 and 1990 there were FIVE AIRFIELDS IN SOUTH WALES, with one being used as a missile testing range.
“There’s a huge amount of air traffic at any one time and that’s obviously increased over the last 40 years,” Dr Marks explains, adding that there is “always a level of military activity” in the sky and that “not all of this is always publicised”.
In March this year, for example, a US government report concluded that UFO sightings in the US in the 1950s and 1960s were caused by tests of advanced spy planes and space technology.
Around the mid-1970s to early 1980s, Dr Marks says developments were taking place in the UK exploring hot air balloons and airships – and some “would resemble traditional UFOs”.
He notes, however, these were “small-scale” experiments that did not get outside of the air hangar.
Today, Dr Marks says, “a lot of air traffic movements are recorded,” with free-to-download apps able to identify a plane, where it has come from and its destination. This “digital fingerprint” makes it a lot easier to track what is going on in the sky, he explains.
For his part, David remains confident in his UFO sighting.
“UNLESS SOMEBODY CAN EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT TYPE OF AIRCRAFT WAS FLYING AT THAT TIME, THAT WAS 45-FEET LONG, CIGAR-SHAPED AND SILVER – I HAVE NO EXPLANATION FOR IT,” he says, adding that believing in UFOs can sometimes be “like you’re banging your head against a brick wall, against society”.
“It’s still being dismissed as nonsense,” he says.
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) closed their UFO desk in 2009 after saying it served no defence purpose and was taking staff away from more valuable defence-related activities.
In a statement, an MOD spokesperson added: “In over 50 years, no sightings of extraterrestrial intelligence, Unidentified Flying Objects and Unidentified Aerial Phenomena reported to us indicated the existence of any military threat to the United Kingdom.”

EX-US INTELLIGENCE OFFICER CLAIMS US HAS “VARIETY” OF ALIEN BODIES
The latest claim comes after an increasing number of unidentified flying objects have been reported in the sky.

A former US intelligence officer has claimed that the government has recovered multiple types of non-human biological “entities” from crashed aircraft. Appearing on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, David Grusch also alleged that there may have been interactions with such beings. Mr Grusch is an Air Force veteran and served as a member of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). Earlier this year, he had testified before the US Congress during a hearing about the existence of aliens.
Speaking to the podcast host on Tuesday, Mr Grusch said the US government has a “variety” of alien bodies. “But the total numbers of what’s interacting with us on earth, I mean nobody knows that,” he added.
“I talk to people who are familiar with the biological analysis and everything. So we have some idea, not a complete picture because it’s like, you know, you’re looking at it, it’s like, well I don’t even understand the physiology at all, it’s like what the heck, it’s way different,” said Mr Grusch.
He had gone public in June this year, claiming that he had given “proof” of the US government’s possession of alien bodies to the Congress and the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community (ICIG) as part of a whistleblower complaint.
Mr Grusch had, however, admitted that he had not seen first-hand evidence of the alleged extra-terrestrial craft or bodies.
The former intelligence officer had earlier said that when he turned over classified information about alien vehicles to US Congress, he suffered retaliation from government officials. After a 14-year career in the US Intelligence, Mr Grusch left the government in April 2023.
The latest claim comes after an increasing number of unidentified flying objects have been reported in the sky. In 2022, the Pentagon held first public hearing on UFOs in half a century.

Footage of a mysterious object hovering in the sky over the city of Curitiba has gone viral on social media
An unidentified anomalous phenomenon (UAP), or what is most often described as a UFO, has been filmed flying over the city of Curitiba in southern Brazil, going viral on social media.
The video, filmed on July 21 and posted on Youtube by user Zona Desconhecida, shows what appears to be a TRIANGULAR SHAPED FLYING OBJECT HOVERING OVER THE CITY. When the cameraman zooms in to get a closer look, the object appears to have chassis-like landing gear, which disappears later in the footage.
“I never believed in UFO until this. When I filmed this unidentified object at first I thought it was a drone, but it did not have propellers. Then I thought it was a balloon but the trajectory was in a straight line and something similar to landing gear appeared,” the user wrote in a caption describing his footage.
The user later uploaded a second video giving an even better look at the flying object, which looks transparent on the sides and appears to slightly change its shape while flying.
The two videos have received over 25,000 views on YouTube, and were reposted to X (formerly Twitter) and other social media platforms, where they quickly went viral. Netizens rushed to speculate on the nature and origin of the object, with some quick to label it the “clearest UFO video in history.”
Many analyzed its flight path, noting that it appears to inflate or flatten during the video. This led some to suggest the object may be a MULTIDIMENSIONAL LIVING BEING. Other theories included a mechanized balloon, a drone, a kite, or an alien spacecraft.
Several web users were adamant that the object was in fact a huge star-shaped balloon, explaining the ‘landing gear’ as image distortion due to the filming angle. Others argued, however, that the quality of the video is not good enough to make an accurate assessment.
According to local media, the Brazilian Air Force was unable to verify the footage, with a spokesman saying they have “several hypotheses” but no “explanation” for the sighting at this point.

Lawmakers plan to form a cross-party panel to probe potentially dangerous unidentified anomalous phenomena

JAPANESE LAWMAKERS ARE PLANNING TO ESTABLISH A BIPARTISAN GROUP WITHIN THE COUNTRY’S PARLIAMENT (DIET), AIMING TO CHANGE THE GOVERNMENT’S APPROACH TO INVESTIGATING SIGHTINGS OF UNIDENTIFIED ANOMALOUS PHENOMENA (UAP), the formal term for what were previously described as UFOs, Japanese media reported this week.
According to reports citing the panel’s founding statement, it will be called the ‘Diet Members’ League for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Clarification from a National Security Perspective.’
The group’s members believe some UAPs could be weapons or spy drones that use advanced technology, and may therefore pose a threat to national security, local media says. The group reportedly plans to push for parliamentary legislation aimed at tracking and probing UAPs. At a press briefing on Friday, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi confirmed lawmakers’ plans to establish the panel.
The work of the group will officially start on June 6, the date of its founding meeting. The panel will reportedly include a number of senior Japanese politicians, including Yasukazu Hamada, the head of parliamentary affairs for the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, Shinjiro Koizumi, the former environment minister, and ex-Defense Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
At a press conference announcing the creation of the group on May 28, two of its members, MPs Kei Endo and Yoshiharu Asakawa, reportedly claimed to have seen UAPs themselves.
The group reportedly plans to base its work on that of the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), a US agency established to investigate UAPs as part of Congress’ 2021 defense policy bill, and PROMOTE INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATION ON UAP TRACKING BETWEEN TOKYO AND WASHINGTON.
Japan drew global attention as a UFO hot spot in 2020, after the Pentagon released footage shot by US Navy pilots over northern Japan depicting flying objects behaving in a strange manner. What happens when several hundred archaeologists gather in a “glass box” in the desert?
It’s an odd kind of question, but this actually occurred last week when experts from all over the planet converged in the shimmering mirror-covered Maraya cultural center near the ancient oasis town of AlUla in Saudi Arabia, for the inaugural World Archaeological Summit.
The result was an event that gave fresh perspectives on some of the ANCIENT MYSTERIES THAT ARE BEING UNEARTHED IN SAUDI AS IT INVESTS BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN OPENING UP ITS LONG-HIDDEN PAST TO GLOBAL TOURISM.
Created by the Kingdom’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, known as MBS, and sponsored by his Royal Commission of AlUla, the conference opted for discussion panels, not academic papers, and invited a diverse range of archaeological experts.
The aim, in part, was to help map Saudi Arabia’s path to sustainable heritage tourism.
Most attendees were cautious about what to expect in a country where the event sponsor has a reputation for both shocking brutality and high-speed reform. They certainly weren’t bored. “We didn’t expect so much conversation and I don’t think the organizers did either,” one attendee told me.
ANCIENT DISCOVERIES
WORLD’S OLDEST ANIMAL SACRIFICES?
Archaeological finds so far show humans trod this land at least 200,000 years ago. They came after leaving Africa by way of the Sinai, Ford says. “They turned right, headed south” into the Arabian Peninsula, today’s Saudi Arabia.
Each discovery, he says, brings potential for new understanding. A recently recovered ancient silk fragment, he says, shows trading routes stretched southward all the way to “India or the Far East.”
“We are still running tests on the fragment,” he adds.
Thanks to new, unprecedented access to AlUla’s ancient wonders, they’re also still trying to unravel the mystery of the Nabatean grave orientation and how they might connect to stargazing or other planetary events.
“We just had a researcher come in from the Canary Islands,” says Ford. “It was only a few months ago, the data (on the stars) is pretty raw, he is still working his way through it.”
One recent discovery is what’s thought to be one of the world’s oldest animal sacrifice sites. Although it’s evident numerous beasts died there, it’s still the source of much mystery, according to Jonathan Wilson, the RCU’s collection and knowledge manager.
At the RCU’s new HQ, the refurbished AlUla Museum, Wilson slides open one of the massive drawers in the packed artifact storage room and carefully lifts out a clear plastic bag containing what looks like a huge yellowing horn.
“Aurochs,” he says. “A now extinct forerunner to today’s domesticated cattle, but bigger.”
Carbon dating of cooking charcoal found nearby accurately dates the site to 5,200 B.C.E., Wilson says, but the mystery is why only the upper part of the beast’s skull and the horns were found.
“They discarded the rest.”
It’s hard to imagine cattle could survive, let alone thrive in the furnace-like desert of today’s Saudi Arabia. According to Ford, “the landscape was greener back then.” There was more rain, it seems. But why? That too is a mystery.
‘AMAZING’ ARCHAEOLOGY
The RCU says its mission is to help Saudi Arabia’s archaeologists solve such conundrums regularly thrown up by the desert, while sustainably scaling up their operations and expertise.
Wilson turns to another drawer and pulls out a broken six-inch, dark ochre-colored figurine, perhaps used as some kind of offering.
“They were taken to a mountain and once they were smashed they were left there, people never went back,” he says.
He’s referring to the Dadenites, the people who ran the incense and spice trade routes through AlUla before the Nabateans, through events that are another mystery, grabbed power from them.
As RCU operations grow Wilson hopes its experts will learn more, including why the figurines were smashed.
Each season, Wilson says he gets about 700 CASES OF ARTIFACTS FROM ARCHEOLOGICAL DIGS run by the RCU.
“Each crate can have one to 600 ITEMS,” he says. “We sort them according to importance,” with the aim of displaying many of these unearthed treasures.
Coins, he says, offer some of the biggest clues about the civilizations who once called AlUla home. The NABATEANS PUT KINGS’ HEADS ON THEIRS – SUPER HELPFUL FOR TRACKING DYNASTIC PERIODS.
The Dadenites didn’t. They were, according to Wilson, forging Greek coins “because they were more valuable than their own.”
Ford, whose decades of archaeological experience span many continents, says THE AREA AROUND ALULA AND HEGRA IS MIND-BLOWING.
“SOME OF THE MOST AMAZING ARCHAEOLOGY IN THE WORLD,” he says.
CONNECTED CIVILIZATIONS
Archaeologists say the Nabatean tombs at Hegra may have been ORIENTATED TO ALIGN WITH STARS OR THE SOLSTICE.
Old assumptions, Ford says, are being ripped apart.
“In the past, we thought civilizations were less refined, less joined up.” Yet what is being discovered in AlUla, he says, suggests that “THE ANCIENT WORLD WAS MUCH MORE CONNECTED THAN WE THINK.”
Oddly, interconnectivity was the almost universal takeaway from the archaeological summit, with attendees apparently relishing the opportunity to talk outside their own disciplines while discovering common and sometimes competing passions about their profession.
I was at the summit to help moderate a couple of the many discussion panels. Conversations got feisty at times. Gaining attention were controversial topics about the role archaeology plays in identity and the responsibility governments and archaeologists have to openly reflect and not distort discoveries.
The importance of saving ancient artifacts from destruction or just daily wear and tear also fired up discussions. Best practices were identified that balanced government needs with listening to local communities and working with them to be custodians in a way that fits their values.
It was clear from the conversations over the two-day event there was no silver bullet, no one size fits all.
But if lessons from the summit inside Maraya’s mirrored walls are heeded, then SAUDI ARABIA’S ARCHAEOLOGICAL COMING OF AGE will get a boost.
SAUDI NAJRAN’S ROCK ART PROVIDES A WINDOW INTO ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS

RIYADH: Najran Region is a treasure trove of rock carvings and ancient Arabic inscriptions that offer a glimpse into the lives and development of its ancient inhabitants.
The UNESCO-inscribed Hima Cultural Area is a vast outdoor museum featuring numerous rock carvings, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Almost every mountain in the region has numerous inscriptions or ancient South Arabian and Thamudic scripts.
Dr. Salem bin Tairan, professor of Semitic languages, ancient writings and archaeology at King Saud University, highlighted the region’s rich archaeological heritage.
He said that the rock art depicts various subjects, including human beings, camels, horses, ibex, ostriches, cows, predatory animals, hunting scenes and battles.
These carvings provide valuable insights into clothing, tools, weapons and domesticated animals of the time.
According to Bin Tairan, archaeological surveys in Najran HAVE UNCOVERED A VAST NUMBER OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES WITH DIVERSE ROCK ART EXAMPLES, INCLUDING TRIBAL SIGNS, THAMUDIC, SABAEAN, HIMYARITE AND ISLAMIC INSCRIPTIONS.
Many of these INSCRIPTIONS DATE FROM THE NEOLITHIC PERIOD AND EVEN THE PALEOLITHIC PERIOD.
Abdullah Al-Suqour, tour guide and member of the Najran Tourist Club, emphasized the significance of the rock carvings as historical records and tourist attractions.
He said the artistry of the engravings are often accompanied by the artist’s signature or prayers.
Al-Suqour urged everyone to cooperate with authorities in preserving and developing these invaluable cultural heritage sites and raising awareness about their importance.
US CONGRESS FINALLY SHOWED UFO EVIDENCE PREVIOUSLY HIDDEN FROM US
A particular deception is coming, according to God’s Word and the Apostle Paul, that will ensnare the folks who oppose the Creator of all things. When thinking about “the lie” Paul mentions in 2 Thessalonians 2, it seems there can be only one sort of “lie” Satan would be so determined to foist upon the people left behind after THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH.

Revelation 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11 And THE BEAST THAT WAS, AND IS NOT, EVEN HE IS THE EIGHTH, AND IS OF THE SEVEN, AND GOETH INTO PERDITION.
Satan has always sought to separate people from the Lord and His governance. He was successful in accomplishing his goal when, in the Garden of Eden, Eve fell victim to the serpent’s seduction and then Adam willfully joined her, believing Satan rather than the Lord.
God then promised the supernatural seed through humankind that would eventually produce a Savior who would ultimately destroy the serpent and overcome his great lie that separated God and man. Jesus is that Seed, the Redeemer of humanity. HE SAID: “I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE: NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME” (JOHN 14:6).
Jesus is the only Way to forgiveness of sin, which separates humans from God. This is what is meant by the first Scripture I and many other young children learned in Sunday school:
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE. (JOHN 3:16)
Paul foretold in the 2 Thessalonians 2 account that THE “LIE” THE ANTICHRIST REGIME WILL IMPOSE UPON THOSE LEFT BEHIND ON EARTH AFTER THE CHURCH IS TAKEN TO BE WITH CHRIST FOREVER WILL INVOLVE THE REFUSAL TO BELIEVE “THE TRUTH.” THEY WILL REJECT GOD’S WAY TO REDEMPTION. THEY WILL DENY THAT JESUS CHRIST—THE TRUTH—IS THE WAY TO SALVATION.
The “lie,” then, will be wrapped up in a grand deception that says Christ didn’t truly come in human flesh—Jewish flesh, as a matter of fact—to die for our sins. This, after all, is the “SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST” John warned of:
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: AND EVERY SPIRIT THAT CONFESSETH NOT THAT JESUS CHRIST IS COME IN THE FLESH IS NOT OF GOD: AND THIS IS THAT SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST, WHEREOF YE HAVE HEARD THAT IT SHOULD COME; AND EVEN NOW ALREADY IS IT IN THE WORLD. That “spirit of antichrist” lie was intrinsic within Hitler’s Nazi regime. The Jews were painted as “Christ-killers and the scourge of mankind,” not as the chosen people through whom God brought His Only Begotten Son into the world to seek and save the lost.

I believe the groundwork is being laid today for the “lie” that will doom much of the world’s population after the Rapture. The lie will have to be part of a fearful crisis of some sort. THE DISAPPEARANCE OF MILLIONS WILL CERTAINLY PROVIDE A CRISIS THAT WILL HAVE THE ATTENTION OF THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD. ANY LEADER WHO CAN ANSWER THE QUESTION OF WHAT ON EARTH HAS HAPPENED WILL GET INSTANT ADULATION FROM A PANICKED WORLD.

As mentioned above, the earth is being prepared, I’m convinced, for just such an answer as the Antichrist will concoct. We have been given a taste of that preparation taking place for quite some time. A news story from the year 2010, for example, gave more than an inkling of the groundwork being laid for that “lie”:

It is often said the DISCOVERY OF OTHER CIVILIZATIONS WOULD SHATTER WORLD RELIGIONS. Delegates were not so sure. Professor Ted Peters, a theologian, briefed the meeting on some survey results that suggested that rather than undermine religious beliefs—whatever the faith—it would strengthen them, by making God’s creation seem even bigger and more wonderful.
Not everyone agreed. British physicist Paul Davies thought Christians would have a problem, given the central belief that Jesus died to save us. If we discover other civilizations, it would raise the awkward question:
The “lie” of 2 Thessalonians 2 could well bring into its orbit and make totally believable 1) universalism—the belief that all people are God’s children and there are many ways to salvation; and 2) the notion that Jesus Christ couldn’t have been the Savior, or else He would have to die on other worlds for those inhabitants and for others in other universes.

Psalm 2:12: “Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” John 3:36: “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
The formula is simple: if you reject the Son, you will receive the wrath.
