A SHOCKING video captures the sheer scale of violence across the capital as dozens of riot police are attacked while entering into an estate in north London following reports of a stabbing.

Riot police were “attacked with numerous missiles” as they attempted to enter into an estate following reports of both a stabbing and disorder in Woodberry Down in north London on Saturday night, according to the Metropolitan Police taskforce. In shocking video footage, dozens of riot police can be seen walking through the Woodberry Down Estate when they are pelted with various “missiles”. Another section of the video appears to show several officers attending to someone who had collapsed.
The Met Taskforce wrote on Twitter: “Another long shift for U4:3 dealing with the disorder and a stabbing in the Woodberry Down in Hackney Police Officers gave life-saving treatment to the victim recovered a weapon were attacked with numerous missiles on entering the estate.”
The Metropolitan Police later recovered a large knife from the scene.
The police were thought to be responding to a party which turned violent, leaving youths roaming around the estate, which sits near Manor House Tube station.
Scotland Yard said police were called at 11.30pm last night.
Scotland Yard said in a statement: “Police were called on Saturday, 29 June at around 23:30 hours to reports of a party taking place at Mendip House, Woodberry Down Estate with a man seen in possession of a knife.
“Officers attended and were met with bottles and missiles that were thrown at them.
“Additional support was requested, with specialist officers and the National Police Air Service attending.
“A man and a woman were found by officers suffering from stab injuries.
“The London Ambulance Service were called and they were taken to an east London hospital.
“The woman’s injuries are non-life threatening. The man remains in hospital in a critical condition.
“One arrest has been made and police remain on the scene.”
Six people were stabbed in 24 hours this weekend, with four people killed in a horrific day of violence in London.
A heavily pregnant woman was also among multiple people to have been stabbed to death during a horrific weekend of attacks for the capital.
The 26-year-old victim, who was eight months pregnant, was found in Croydon with stab injuries at the scene at around 3.30am on Saturday.
The baby was delivered by the London Ambulance and remains in hospital in a critical condition.
The Met police have since named the victim as Kelly Mary Fauvrelle.
The force has made a second arrest in connection with the incident.
A Scotland Yard statement said: “Detectives investigating the murder of a pregnant woman in Croydon have made a second arrest and have named the victim as Kelly Mary Fauvrelle.
“A 29-year-old man was arrested on Saturday, June 29 on suspicion of murder. He was taken to a south London police station where he remains at this time.
